This paper analyses the determination of visibility of journals in which researchers of INRA (National Institute for Agricultural Research) publish. The corpus is comprised of 671 articles published over a period of four years in 258 journals. The advantage of the method applied for determining the visibility of journals is that it combines two approaches: a) bibliometric indicators (coverage by the ISI-publications and by two specific French databases) and b) experts' opinions (10 economists and sociologists). The main results are: a) There is a convergence between the opinion of the experts and «visibility» in the databases, b) The impact factor confirms the main opinions of the experts. The first journals ranked by the experts and JCR Social Sciences are the same but represent only 40 per cent of the total journals analysed. The other journals were revealed by the experts and French databases.«Whoever seeks to pass a balanced but lucid judgement on the general trends of the activity carried out by the profession to which he belongs, is liable to say either banalities or to hurt his colleagues»The notion which we retain of core is that which is successively and conjointly validated by the experts and by the major databases representative of the field.This study was financed by the Department of Rural Economy and Sociology of INRA.  相似文献

Glass transition of thermo‐molded biomaterials made from wheat gluten and its main protein classes is studied by dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA). The materials are plasticized with variable contents of glycerol (30–40 wt %) and water (0–20 wt %). For all materials, three successive relaxation phases are systematically detected. Their positions shift to lower temperature as the plasticizer content of materials increases. Composition in gluten, glycerol and water of each relaxation phase is estimated using the Couchman‐Karasz model. Irrespective of the plasticizer content or composition, the relaxation phases shows rather constant plasticizer volume fractions. The low‐, middle‐, and high relaxation phases include respectively around 30, 60 and 80 vol % of gluten protein. These relaxations are assigned to the segmental motion of the surface amino‐acid side groups, to the collective motion of packed gluten proteins, and to the gain in protein conformational mobility as a 2D network of interacting plasticizer molecules forms. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. This study aimed to determine the kinetics of milk protein digestion and amino acid absorption after ingestion of four dairy matrices by six minipigs: unheated or heated skim milk and corresponding rennet gels. Digestive contents and plasma samples were collected over a 7 h-period after meal ingestion. Gelation of milk slowed down the outflow of the meal from the stomach and the subsequent absorption of amino acids, and decreased their bioavailability in peripheral blood. The gelled rennet matrices also led to low levels of milk proteins at the duodenum. Caseins and β-lactoglobulin, respectively, were sensitive and resistant to hydrolysis in the stomach with the unheated matrices, but showed similar digestion with the heated matrices, with a heat-induced susceptibility to hydrolysis for β-lactoglobulin. These results suggest a significant influence of the meal microstructure (resulting from heat treatment) and macrostructure (resulting from gelation process) on the different steps of milk proteins digestion.  相似文献

A new clustering method for object data, called ECM (evidential c-means) is introduced, in the theoretical framework of belief functions. It is based on the concept of credal partition, extending those of hard, fuzzy, and possibilistic ones. To derive such a structure, a suitable objective function is minimized using an FCM-like algorithm. A validity index allowing the determination of the proper number of clusters is also proposed. Experiments with synthetic and real data sets show that the proposed algorithm can be considered as a promising tool in the field of exploratory statistics.  相似文献

The biodegradability of water samples is usually estimated with bioassays under oxic conditions. In order to overcome some of the drawbacks linked to the incubation of the samples in aerobic batches, a new protocol is proposed and tested, which is based on an organic carbon (OC) balance after a 45 days incubation under anoxic conditions with excess nitrate. The biodegradable fractions of organic matter obtained with the anoxic protocol are slightly lower than those obtained under oxic conditions. Several possible reasons for a systematic underestimation of the biodegradable organic matter under anoxic conditions are evaluated and discussed: a reduced microbial metabolic potential, significantly reduced degradation rates for the slowly biodegradable organic matter, an additional production of refractory organic compounds during the incubation, or the inhibition of the recycling of the organic matter stored in bacterial biomass. Nevertheless, the 7% difference observed on the biodegradable total OC estimations keeps low enough so that the anoxic protocol can be proposed as a convenient alternative to the oxic one.  相似文献

The principal goal in early missions of satellite-borne visible spectral radiometry (ocean colour) was to create synoptic fields of phytoplankton biomass indexed as concentration of chlorophyll-a. In the context of climate change, a major application of the results has been in the modelling of primary production and the ocean carbon cycle. It is now recognised that a partition of the marine autotrophic pool into a suite of phytoplankton functional types, each type having a characteristic role in the biogeochemical cycle of the ocean, would increase our understanding of the role of phytoplankton in the global carbon cycle. At the same time, new methods have been emerging that use visible spectral radiometry to map some of the phytoplankton functional types. Here, we assess the state of the art, and suggest paths for future work.  相似文献

This paper discusses the effect of porosity and hydrostatic pressure on diffusion kinetics and equilibrium water uptake in a semicrystalline fluoropolymer. Water sorption experiments at atmospheric pressure and under water pressures up to 250 MPa were carried out during 18 months at 40 °C on reference and porous samples. Porosity of samples was induced due to a cavitation process occurring at the highest triaxiality area of waisted and notched specimens during tensile tests. Water uptake was found to be very sensitive to porosity, showing an increase in samples with a high void fraction. On the other hand, water content decreased with increasing pressure suggesting a compaction of the porous space in which water can be stored. Two models describing this water uptake behaviour were considered. The first is a classical model which assumes that sorption occurs only by diffusion following Fick’s law. Fick’s model was found to be in agreement with the experimental results. A “Langmuir-type” sorption model was also proposed to describe water uptake in porous samples, considering a two-phase water transport mechanism: one portion of the absorbed water diffuses through the polymer matrix and the other portion is stored in voids. This model was implemented in a user subroutine using ABAQUS? software and simulations were confronted to experimental sorption curves showing satisfactory agreements. The potential of the Langmuir-type sorption model resides on its availability to be coupled to a poro-mechanical model, in order to improve the understanding of coupling between the mechanical behaviour and water sorption mechanism in a porous polymer.  相似文献

Behaviour difficulties (BD) in school-age children and adolescent constitute an increasingly important concern for all participants in the Quebec and foreign education systems. The risk factors that can contribute to the development of BD are numerous (Kauffman, 2005). Amongst these appears a whole set of skills related to social competence (Bowen, Desbiens, Martin, & Hamel, 2001). The present study aims to test, by means of Generalisability theory, the reliability of the evaluation process developed to measure the level of teenage social skills according to various indicators (cooperation, self-control, assertion), various sources of information (adolescent, parent, and teacher), and various times (pretest, posttest 1, posttest 2). The coefficient of relative generalisability was found to be higher than the limit considered satisfactory, indicating that the evaluation process is reliable enough to allow differentiation of social skills for adolescent with BD. To develop intervention guidelines for BD students, a review of the sources of variation that may influence the accuracy of the measurement provided by the evaluation process is conducted through an analysis of facets (Bertrand & Blais, 2004) and a study of the most important variances components (Bain & Pini, 1996). This paper presents a methodology for assessing the variability of biodegradable chemical oxygen demand (COD) fractions in urban wastewaters. Thirteen raw wastewater samples from combined and separate sewers feeding the same plant were characterised, and two optimisation procedures were applied in order to evaluate the variability in biodegradable fractions and related kinetic parameters. Through an overall optimisation on all the samples, a unique kinetic parameter set was obtained with a three-substrate model including an adsorption stage. This method required powerful numerical treatment, but improved the identifiability problem compared to the usual sample-to-sample optimisation. The results showed that the fractionation of samples collected in the combined sewer was much more variable (standard deviation of 70% of the mean values) than the fractionation of the separate sewer samples, and the slowly biodegradable COD fraction was the most significant fraction (45% of the total COD on average). Because these samples were collected under various rain conditions, the standard deviations obtained here on the combined sewer biodegradable fractions could be used as a first estimation of the variability of this type of sewer system.  相似文献
