The high expectations and demand for users to access the Internet from anywhere at anytime has made user mobility an important part of the design and development of the next generation mobile communications and computing. Traditionally user mobility has been divided into two areas: Terminal Mobility and Personal Mobility. In recent years terminal mobility has focused on the movement of the terminal and developed extensions to IP protocols such as Mobile IP. In contrast, personal mobility has only received limited attention, and is somewhat lagging behind. This research has either focussed on personal mobility in communications or personalisation of operating environments. As a result, to date no framework for providing true personal mobility has emerged. In this paper, we introduce a new personal mobility framework called IPMoA (Integrated Personal Mobility Architecture), which integrates both aspects of personal mobility to provide a complete personal mobility solution, and illustrate the viability of this approach through a proof-of-concept implementation. 相似文献

The intermetallic phases present in high-purity and commercial purity Al-Mn alloys (up to 2% Mn) in as-cast and heat-treated conditions were extracted electrolytically in 10% HCl in methanol solution and identified by X-ray diffraction. As iron is known to increase the coarse cast-intermetallic particles and to cause refinement of the grain size after recrystallization, different amounts of iron (up to 0.5%) were added and the resulting intermetallic phases were extracted and identified with and without heat treatment. The unidentified phase -Al (Mn, Fe)Si, reported by Sperry and others, was recognized as corresponding for ASTM card number 6-0669 and the conditions favourable for its formation were determined. This phase may be responsible for refining the grain size after recrystallization in commercial purity alloys as compared to high-purity Al-Mn alloys and may therefore be tried as an inoculant (by adding powdered compound to liquid alloys) for grain refining. 相似文献

In Fifth Generation (5G) Heterogeneous Mobile Networks (HetNets), deploying dense small cell networks makes user association more challenging. The process of collecting cell load information from the User Equipments (UEs) and broadcasting the feedback message involves significant overhead and time complexity. Moreover, the UEs may not know the optimum cell to reselect, satisfying its data rate requirements. In order to overcome these drawbacks, in this paper, we propose to design an Hierarchical and Hybrid Cell Load Balancing (HHCLB) technique using Selective Handoff. In this technique, the UEs of each cell are grouped into clusters depending on their proximity distance. Each cluster contains a cluster controller (CC) which is in charge of determining the intra-cell load and redirecting the cell-reselection request of a UE. If the data rate of any UE in a cluster becomes less than its required rate, then the cell reselection process is performed. By simulation results, it is shown that load balancing can be done proactively (implicitly) by the CCs when the load is unbalanced or can be done on demand (explicitly) when a UE send a request for cell reselection. In the case of Macro cells, HHCLB attains 71% higher throughput for low load scenario and 59% higher throughput for high load scenario. Similarly, in the case of Femto cells, HHCLB attains 19% higher throughput for low load scenario and 27% higher throughput for high load scenario. 相似文献

The present paper deals with the formation of an optimal sequence of flow shop scheduling (FSS) for efficient operation. The primary concern of FSS is to obtain the optimal sequence, which minimises the idle time, tardiness, makespan, etc. Among these, the criteria of minimising the makespan plays a vital part. Thus, in this paper, the sequencing of the FSS for minimising the makespan is addressed. An effective hybrid has been formed with the metaheuristics, namely an ant system and a genetic algorithm (GA). Intestinal carotenoid absorption is greatly affected by dietary factors. In this study, it was hypothesized that lipids with varying functional groups may influence differentially lutein bioavailability. Hence, the influence of glyco‐, phospho‐, neutral, crude (mixture of lipids) lipids, or mixed micelles (control) on the percent lutein micellarization in vitro and its postprandial plasma, liver, and eye response in mice were investigated. Results show that the percent micellarization of lutein with crude lipids and glycolipids were higher (91.4 and 45.7%) than control, while no significant difference was found between phospho‐ and neutral lipids. The mean plasma response of lutein was higher for crude‐ (6 times), glyco‐ (3 times), phospho‐ (2.7 times), and neutral (2 times) lipid than control (12.4 ± 1.18 nmol/mL 8 h?1) group. Lutein levels (pmol/g) in liver were higher in crude (7.4 ± 1) and phospho‐ (3.6 ± 0.8) lipid groups while in eyes it was higher in glyco‐ (54.0) and neutral (21.2) lipid groups than control. The influential effect of glyco‐ and phospholipids may be due to smaller micellar size (glyco‐upto 3.43 µm, phospho‐ upto 5.78 µm) than the neutral lipids (upto 66 µm). Ingestion of lutein with glycolipid or phospholipids may improve lutein bioavailability. Practical applications: The findings of the present study will be useful in nutritional and biomedical applications for feeding lutein with specific lipid combinations to achieve enhanced lutein absorption. Specifically, feeding diet/emulsion with lutein and glyco‐ and phospholipid combination may reduce the risk of macular degeneration, owing to the influential effect of these lipids on intestinal absorption of lutein. 相似文献

A systematic and extensive approach incorporating in vitro and in vivo experimentation to treat chronic osteomyelitis in animal model were made using antibiotic loaded special bioactive glass porous scaffolds. After thorough characterization for porosity, distribution, surface charge, a novel drug composite were infiltrated by using vacuum infiltration and freeze-drying method which was subsequently analyzed by SEM-EDAX and studied for in vitro drug elution in PBS and SBF. Osteomyelitis in rabbit was induced by inoculation of Staphylococcus aureus and optimum drug-scaffold were checked for its efficacy over control and parenteral treated animals in terms of histopathology, radiology, in vivo drug concentration in bone and serum and implant-bone interface by SEM. It was optimized that 60P samples with 60-65% porosity (bimodal distribution of macro- to micropore) with average pore size ~60 μm and higher interconnectivity, moderately high antibiotic adsorption efficiency (~49%) was ideal. Results after 42 days showed antibiotic released higher than MIC against S. aureus compared to parenteral treatment (2 injections a day for 6 weeks). In vivo drug pharmacokinetics and SEM on bone-defect interface proved superiority of CFS loaded porous bioactive glass implants over parenteral group based on infection eradication and new bone formation. 相似文献

The carotenoid levels in Indian spices of nutritional and medicinal importance were determined using high performance liquid chromatography. Lutein (L) and zeaxanthin (Z) levels (mg/100 g dry wt) in curry leaves (27.34), spearmint (18.0), green chilli (13.74), coriander leaves (9.92) and mustard seeds (1.2) were higher (2–22-fold) than mace, anise seeds, onion, fenugreek seeds and carum seeds (0.62 and 0.85) whilst their levels in cumin seeds, black pepper, green cardamom and coriander seeds were in the range of 0.32–0.47. β-Carotene (mg/100 g dry wt) was higher in coriander leaves (67.5), green chilli (9.06), curry leaves (8.95) and spearmint (7.5) than black cardamom (0.22) and coriander seeds (0.22), respectively. Neoxanthin, violaxanthin and α-carotene levels were also discussed. Spices analysed are a better source of L + Z than β-carotene (except for coriander leaves). Usage of spices as an adjuvant in food preparations also provides L + Z as antioxidants. 相似文献

Microcapsules containing oil are potential candidate materials for preparing electrocomposite coatings with excellent tribological properties. In the present study, the preparation of oil-encapsulated microcapsules and electrodeposition of Ni-microcapsule composite coating are presented along with the properties of the coating. In situ interfacial polymerization method was used for the preparation of lubricating oil-encapsulated urea-formaldehyde microcapsules. The synthesized microcapsules were incorporated into the nickel matrix by electrodeposition using Ni-Watts bath. The Ni-composite coating containing microcapsules exhibited smaller Ni grain size, higher microhardness and lower surface roughness compared to plain Ni coating. Electrodeposited Ni coating containing oil-encapsulated microcapsules exhibited improved tribological properties with lower wear loss and coefficient of friction compared to plain nickel coating. 相似文献
