Hydrogen production via water electrolysis was studied under the effect of magnetic and optical field. A diode solid state laser at blue, green and red were utilized as optical field source. Magnetic bar was employed as external magnetic field. The green laser has shown a greatest effect in hydrogen production due to its non-absorbance properties in the water. Thus its intensity of electrical field is high enough to dissociation of hydronium and hydroxide ions during orientation toward polarization of water. The potential to break the autoprotolysis and generate the auto-ionization is the mechanism of optical field to reveal the hydrogen production in water electrolysis. The magnetic field effect is more dominant to enhance the hydrogen production. The diamagnetic property of water has repelled the present of magnetic in water. Consequently the water splitting occurs due to the repulsive force induced by the external magnetic field. The magnetic distributed more homogenous in the water to involve more density of water molecule. As a result hydrogen production due to magnetic field is higher in comparison to optical field. However the combination both fields have generated superior effect whereby the hydrogen yields nine times higher in comparison to conventional water electrolysis.  相似文献

This study aims to describe and analyze the colonization of Aedes albopictus whose presence was detected in 1991 in the area of Sào José do Rio. Preto already colonized by the Aedes aegypti. Year and month of occurrence, counties, composition and location of larval samples, kinds of containers, average number of larvae an Breteau Index bare been analyzed from the information obtained in measurements of larval density by Superintendência de Controle de Endemias (SUCEN). The presence of Aedes albopictus was ascertained in 34 towns up to December 1994. The colonization of the area by the mosquito is still reduced showing some differences in relation to Aedes aegypti such as greater ratio outdoors, occupying container in different proportions. The average number of Aedes albopictus larvae has had influence of larvae of another species. It has showed a seasonal behavior similar to Aedes aegypti and it has moved from east to west direction.  相似文献

Solid terpolymer electrolytes (STEs) consist of different ratios of poly(vinyl butyral-co-vinyl alcohol-co-vinyl acetate) (PVBVA) and bis(trifluoromethane) sulfonamide lithium salt (LiTFSi) were prepared and the ionic conductivity of the prepared STEs was evaluated. The optimized STE (denoted as STE 20) was further doped with various amount of tetraglyme (10, 20, and 30 wt % and denoted as G10, G20, and G30, respectively). G20 enhanced the ionic conductivity from 6.22 (for STE 20) to 21.9 µS cm−1. This enhancement is due to the presence of abundant oxygen-containing functional group in tetraglyme that provides more charge carrier mobility in the polymer matrix. The structure and complexation of the materials are authenticated via X-ray diffraction and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy analysis. The performance of electric double layer capacitors based on activated carbon (AC) fabricated with STE 20 (AC/STE 20/AC) and G20 (AC/G 20/AC) were studied via cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic charge–discharge, and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. AC/G 20/AC achieved the maximum specific capacitance of 10.20 F/g [which is higher than AC/STE 20/AC (9.30 F/g)] with 75% of specific capacitance retention after 1500 cycles. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. This paper discusses the advantage of certification process in the quality assurance of individual dose monitoring in Malaysia. The demand by customers and the regulatory authority for a higher degree of quality service requires a switch in emphasis from a technically focused quality assurance program to a comprehensive quality management for service provision. Achieving the ISO 9001:2000 certification by an accredited third party demonstrates acceptable recognition and documents the fact that the methods used are capable of generating results that satisfy the performance criteria of the certification program. It also offers a proof of the commitment to quality and, as a benchmark, allows measurement of the progress for continual improvement of service performance.  相似文献

This study was undertaken to compare the entrance surface dose(ESD) and image quality of adult chest and abdominal X-ray examinationsconducted at general practitioner (GP) clinics, and public andprivate hospitals in Malaysia. The surveyed facilities wererandomly selected within a given category (28 GP clinics, 20public hospitals and 15 private hospitals). Only departmentalX-ray units were involved in the survey. Chest examinationswere done at all facilities, while only hospitals performedabdominal examinations. This study used the x-ray attenuationphantoms and protocols developed for the Nationwide Evaluationof X-ray Trends (NEXT) survey program in the United States.The ESD was calculated from measurements of exposure and clinicalgeometry. An image quality test tool was used to evaluate thelow-contrast detectability and high-contrast detail performanceunder typical clinical conditions. The median ESD value forthe adult chest X-ray examination was the highest (0.25 mGy)at GP clinics, followed by private hospitals (0.22 mGy) andpublic hospitals (0.17 mGy). The median ESD for the adult abdominalX-ray examination at public hospitals (3.35 mGy) was higherthan that for private hospitals (2.81 mGy). Results of imagequality assessment for the chest X-ray examination show thatall facility types have a similar median spatial resolutionand low-contrast detectability. For the abdominal X-ray examination,public hospitals have a similar median spatial resolution butlarger low-contrast detectability compared with private hospitals.The results of this survey clearly show that there is room forfurther improvement in performing chest and abdominal X-rayexaminations in Malaysia.  相似文献

The systematic monitoring of image quality and radiation dose is an ultimate solution to ensuring the continuously high quality of mammography examination. At present several protocols exist around the world, and different test objects are used for quality control (QC) of the physical and technical aspects of screen-film mammography. This situation may lead to differences in radiation image quality and dose reported. This article reviews the global QC perspective for the physical and technical aspects of screen-film mammography with regard to image quality and radiation dose. It points out issues that must be resolved in terms of radiation dose and that also affect the comparison.  相似文献

Behavioral academic self-esteem (BASE) has been used with children of preschool, elementary, and junior high school classes, both individually and in groups. In this study, BASE is used to estimate the factor structures and determine the levels of academic self-esteem of the student. The current practice of the existing system using BASE scale may be scored by hand or by computer based on the rigid crisp values to represent rating number one through five. Since BASE requires the ability for estimating the factor structure and also the ability to explain how the conclusion is derived, therefore artificial intelligent techniques that are required to perform BASE must be able to perform estimation and provide reasoning. For this purpose, fuzzy logic and expert system have been integrated in a web-based environment to demonstrate the use of hybrid system on BASE factor structure and levels of academic self-esteem. For each BASE factor, the sub score is provided based on the classifications of academic self-esteem and their respective ranges. In FuzzyXteem, users in particular teachers, counselors, or parent are allowed to measure students' self-esteem at early age using real time computation. FuzzyXteem facilitates user by automatically evaluating BASE factors and helps the user diagnoses their students' levels of academic self-esteem in 3 ratings: low, moderate and high. It is also able to provide explanation and describe how the conclusion can be derived. The system has been successfully tested by the counselors and conforms to the BASE factor rating scale and sub-scores. FuzzyXteem can be used as an aid to decision making in improving a person's self esteem, and indirectly increases an individual for productivity. The same system functions can be applied to business organization for managing and improving the organizations performance.  相似文献
