This paper considers various experimental designs on the Atlas facility to study the physics of liners and determine the optimum
conditions of their stable motion. In one of the versions, in comparison with the Liner Demonstration series of experiments,
in which unstable liner motion was observed, it is proposed to reduce the initial liner radius without changing its mass,
which, according to two-dimensional calculations, should to lead to more stable motion of the liner with unchanged velocity.
It is also proposed to perform an experiment in which periodic perturbations at a certain wavelength are created on the outer
surface of the liner with a simultaneous increase in its thickness. According to calculations, the growth of chaotic perturbations
is stabilized in this case with the preservation of the liner velocity.

The invariant cross-section slope of the pp→π+π?+X process as a function of pT is found to have a break near 1 GeV/c. Fitting the cross section by a sum of two exponents gives the values of powers (12.3±0.9)(GeV/c)?1 and (8.7±0.6)(GeV/c)?1. The experimental points at pT?1 GeV/c are significantly higher than predictions based on hard scattering models such as QCD and CIM. 相似文献

The experimental data and the results of direct numerical simulation of the flow developed in a constant-cross-section tube in passage of a shock wave through a three-layer gas system are presented. The three-layer systemis formed as a result ofmounting two thin films in the tube and filling the space between them with gases of different densities. The first interface (thin film) makes an angle of 45? with the shock front and the second interface is located in parallel to the front. The shock wave is formed at the left tube end and moves towards the first interface at the Mach number M = 2.4. The results of simulation of the problem are compared with the experimental data. 相似文献

Invariant cross sections for hadron production (π±,K ± ,p and \(\bar p\) ) by protons off C, Al, Cu, Sn and Pb nuclei have been measured at 70 GeV for theP ∧ range from 1 up to 4.65 GeV/c. TheA-dependence of the invariant cross section is not described by the exponentialA α(P ∧), which points to the presence of secondary hadron absorption in nuclei. 相似文献

The cross sections for π±, K±, p, and production in pp collisions have been measured at transverse momenta from 0.48 up to 2.21 GeV/c at 70 GeV. The data are compared with results obtained at lower and higher proton energies and also with the quantum chromodynamics parton model (QPM) calculations. Common behaviour of the cross sections of the form in the energy range above 200 GeV does not take place at lower energies. Qualitatively QPM fits the data and the best agreement is for π+/π? and K+/π+ ratios. 相似文献
