在认知隐喻理论的框架内,以自建的小型商务英语语料库为基础,揭示隐喻“商务即战争”(BUSINESS IS WAR)在商务语篇中的表现形态,并在Halliday语域学说的视角下,进行了商务语篇与政治语篇的对比分析.我们发现,战争隐喻在商务语篇中构成了严密、完整、和谐的语义网络系统,极大地支持了商务英语语篇信息的构建和传达.与政治语篇相比,商务语篇的隐喻密度很小,源始域倾向于战争策略、靶等战争外围概念,而非杀戮、战斗等核心概念.造成这种差异的主要是语域学说中的语场和语式元素,与语旨没有关联. 相似文献

Liposomes, especially cationic liposomes, are the most common and well-investigated nanocarriers for biomedical applications, such as drug and gene delivery. Like other types of nanomaterials, once liposomes are incubated in a biological milieu, their surface can be immediately cloaked by biological components to form a protein corona, which confers a new ‘biological identity’ and modulates downstream interactions with cells. However, it remains unclear how the protein corona affects the transportation mechanism after liposomes interact with cells. Here, we employed home-made aggregation-induced-emission-visualized nanoliposomes TR4@Lipo as a model to investigate transportation with or without the protein corona by optical imaging techniques. The results show that the protein corona can change the cellular transportation mechanism of TR4@Lipo from energy-independent membrane fusion to energy-dependent endocytosis. The protein corona also modulates the intracellular distribution of loaded cargoes. This knowledge furthers our understanding of bio-nano interactions and is important for the efficient use of cationic liposomes. 相似文献

Light chain disease is a variant of multiple myeloma in which the malignant population of marrow cells produces free monoclonal
light chains but no heavy chain or complete immunoglobulin. The monoclonal light chains are small enough to be freely filtered
by the kidneys and become Bence–Jones protein. Light chain disease comprises about 18% of multiple myeloma patients. Here
we present a case report of a 38-year-old man who initially presented with complaints of pain in back and low grade fever
off and on. He was found to have collapse of D9 and D12 vertebrae along with ascites and right pleural effusion and massive
proteinuria. Multiple myeloma was considered as a differential diagnosis based on the investigations but eventually the patient
was lost to follow up. This case is reported here as the light chain variant of multiple myeloma leading to deposition disease
is less commonly reported and presents considerable difficulties in diagnosis. 相似文献

The continuous use of synthetic hormones as contraceptive pill or hormonal replacement therapy among women is increasing day by day. The widespread use of different formulations as oral contraceptives by women throughout their reproductive cycle has given rise to a serious concern for studying the effects of oral contraceptives on enzymatic profile and DNA damage in peripheral blood lymphocytes among users. The present study was carried out on women taking oral contraceptives. The study was based on the questionnaire having the information of reproductive history, fasting, age, health, nature of menstrual cycle, bleeding and other disease. The profile of the blood serum enzymes i.e. alkaline phosphatase (ALP), gamma glutamyl transferase (GGT), lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), aminotransferases (SGOT and SGPT), serum proteins (albumin and globulin) and DNA damage in lymphocytes was studied among users and non-users. The results of the present study suggest that OCs not only effects enzymatic activity but also results in DNA damage that may vary with the duration of using oral contraceptives. A significant increase in LDH, GGT, SGPT, SGOT, globulin and decrease in ALP as well as albumin was found among users as compared to non-users. The observed DNA damage was more in users as compared to non-users. Hormonal contraceptives seem to exert DNA damage and also have significant effects on blood serum enzymes. 相似文献

Cervical cancer (CaCx) is a global public health problem as it is the second most common cancer leading to the death of women
worldwide. Many references revealed that the low levels of antioxidants induce the generation of free radicals leading to
DNA damage and further mutations. In the present study attempt have been made to evaluate the levels of serum Lipid peroxide,
Nitric Oxide (NO.) Erythrocytic—Superoxide Dismutase (RBC-SOD), Vitamin-C, serum Copper (Cu) and serum Zinc (Zn). 120 patients were divided
in 4 groups according to the increasing CaCx stages i.e. stage I, II, III & IV respectively. All the patients were around
the age group of 25–65 years. 30 healthy women between the same age group were treated as controls. Highly significant increased
values of MDA, NO. and Cu were observed (p<0.001) whereas the activity of RBC-SOD, levels of Vitamin-C and Zn were significantly decreased in
CaCx patients as compared with healthy controls (p<0.001). Cu/Zn ratio was found to be altered in CaCx patients. From our
findings it can be concluded that the oxidative stress is induced among CaCx patients, which inturn increases the risk of

Ovarian cancer has been emerged as a most common and lethal gynecological malignancy in India. High serum insulin and low adiponectin have been associated with increased risk of ovarian cancer. But their role in development of ovarian cancer is conflicting and little evidence is available. We aimed to evaluate blood levels of insulin and adiponectin in epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) patients and their association with the risk to develop EOC. The study included following three groups; Group 1: fifty cases of cytohistopathologically confirmed cases of EOC, Group 2: fifty age matched cases of benign ovarian conditions and Group 3: fifty ages matched healthy controls with no evidence of any benign or malignant ovarian pathology as ruled out by clinical examination and relevant investigations. Cytohistopathologically confirmed and newly diagnosed cases of EOC and benign ovarian cancer were included in this study. The median value of fasting serum insulin was significantly high (15.0 µlU/ml, P = 0.02) and adiponectin were significantly low (5.1 µg/ml, P < 0.001) in ovarian cancer patients compared to benign ovarian tumors and healthy controls group. A significant increase risk of ovarian cancer was found in high tertile (≥ 18.7 µlU/ml) of serum insulin level (OR = 2.7; 95% CI = 1.00–6.67, P = 0.04) and lower tertile (≤ 5.45 µg/ml) of adiponectin level (OR = 3.2; 95% CI = 1.10–9.71, P = 0.03). High serum insulin level and low adiponectin levels were significantly associated with increased risk for development of ovarian cancer. 相似文献

A condition of malnutrition was induced in rats during post weaning stage, by feeding rats with diet containing low protein and high carbohydrate viz. diet with 25% protein [Group I-control rats]. diet with 9% protein [Group II-moderately malnourished] and diet with 6% protein [Group III-severely malnourished]. The rats were sacrified on 21st day. 35th day.42nd day and 90th day. As compared to control rats, somatic weight and pancreatic weight of group II rats was 55 to 80% and 50 to 80% while group III rats were only 50 to 70% and 30 to 40%, respectively. A decrease in cell number, as well as, cell size was evident in malnourished rats from their DNA[10 to 20% of control] and protein [20 to 70% of control] content.. At adulthood, activity of trypsin declined and was 86 and 64% of controls respectively, in groups II and III, while amylase and lipase activities registered a rise at 35 d followed by a decline there after. Malnourished rats were fed the 25% protein diet for 2 weeks after each period of malnutrition, inorder to see the extent of recovery subsequent to induction of a state of malnutrition. Recovery of somatic weight and weight of the pancreas were maximum when the duration of malnutrition was short i.e. following 35 days, recovery being more in group III than group II. Recovery of DNA and protein content was independent of each other. In malnourished rats trypsin activity increased, amylase activity showed a decline, and lipase activity did not respond to the nutritional rehabilitation. 相似文献

我们主要在系统功能语言学的框架内探讨语法隐喻、特别是情态隐喻与文体的接面。语法隐喻和情态隐喻都是相对于一致式的某种变体。我们认为,语法隐喻的文体意义在于其偏离常规的特性、诗性效果和人物个性的诠释功能,情态隐喻的基本概念及其四个变量(向度、价值,归一度和类型等)具有丰富的语用信息,有助于解释文学语篇中人物个性以及人物权势关系。 相似文献
