We propose a new distance measure, called Complement weighted sum of minimal distances, between finite sets in ${\mathbb Z }^n$ and evaluate its usefulness for shape registration and matching. In this set distance the contribution of each point of each set is weighted according to its distance to the complement of the set. In this way, outliers and noise contribute less to the new similarity measure. We evaluate the performance of the new set distance for registration of shapes in binary images and compare it to a number of often used set distances found in the literature. The most extensive evaluation uses a set of synthetic 2D images. We also show three examples of real problems: registering a set of 2D images extracted from synchrotron radiation micro-computed tomography (SR $\upmu $ CT) volumes depicting bone implants; the difficult multi-modal registration task of finding the exact location of a 2D slice of a bone implant, as imaged by a light microscope, within a 3D SR $\upmu $ CT volume of the same implant; and finally recognition of handwritten characters. The evaluation shows that our new set distance performs well for all tasks and outperforms the other observed distance measures in most cases. It is therefore useful in many image registration and shape comparison tasks.  相似文献

The influence of welding current and nitrogen content in argon shielding gas on the resistance of the welded joint (weld metal and heat-affected zone [HAZ]) of the stainless steel X5CrNi18-10 to the formation and growth of pits was investigated. Also, the susceptibility of the welded joint to intergranular corrosion was examined. Pitting corrosion resistance indicators were determined based on anodic potentiodynamic polarization measurements in NaCl + Na2SO4 solution, while susceptibility to intergranular corrosion was determined by the potentiokinetic method with a double loop (DL EPR). SEM/EDS was used to analyze the microstructure. It has been shown that higher nitrogen content in shielding gas leads to an increase in the resistance of welded joints (weld metal and HAZ) to the pit formation. However, an improvement in the resistance to the pit formation leads to a decline in the resistance of the welded joint to pit growth. An explanation of this phenomenon is proposed. Also, it was shown that the increase of the welding current increases the susceptibility of the welded joint to intergranular corrosion, while the higher nitrogen content has no effect.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Content of individual sugars, organic acids, total phenolics (TPH), some important phenolic compounds (kaempferol, myricetin, quercetin, and ellagic acid) and total antioxidant capacity (TAC) in the fruits of strawberry, raspberry and blackberry were studied. A comparison was made between cultivars and wild relatives of each species (Fragaria vesca L., Rubus idaeus L. and Rubus fruticosus L.). The main sugars found were fructose and glucose both in the fruits of wild species and the studied cultivars. Citric acid was determined to be the major organic acid in most of tested berries with the exception of blackberry cultivars, where malic acid was dominant. The content of individual phenolic compounds varied among the wild species, as well as among the studied cultivars. Ellagic acid content was higher in F. vesca, R. idaeus and R. fruticosus (122.5 µg/g FW, 12.71 µg/g FW and 61.7 µg/g FW, respectively) than that obtained in analyzed cultivars. Overall, TPH expressed higher values in the wild strawberry and blackberry species in comparison to the studied cultivars, and consequently, the highest levels of TAC were recorded in F. vesca (5.78 mg asc/g FW), followed by R. fruticosus (4.95 mg asc/g FW).

PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS

In recent years, both wild and cultivated berries have become very attractive for consumers because of potentially beneficial phytochemicals contained in these fruits. Fruit nutritional quality can be described by standard quality parameters (sugars and organic acids), and the analysis of antioxidant capacity influenced by specific related compounds. The importance of flavonoids and other phenolics have been suggested to play a preventive role in the development of cancer and heart disease. A significant positive correlation observed in this study between total phenolics and total antioxidant capacity indicate the need for the use of wild species in the breeding programs of small fruits, especially strawberry and blackberry, in order to increase their nutritive value and the health benefits.  相似文献

The question of whether the identified process model will lead to a stable closed loop is of practical relevance during iterative identification and controller design. It is known that, in the case of overly demanding closed-loop requirements, the model resulting from the iterative procedure might conflict with prior knowledge about the process. Nevertheless, in many cases the violation of the plausibility of the identified models does not necessarily violate its purposiveness. Therefore, it is a matter of practical importance to have a confident indication as to whether the given model will result in a stable closed-loop design or not. If not, the iterative identification and controller design should be stopped, that is more appropriate model structures should be chosen. In this paper, a probabilistic measure is proposed which relies on the estimated model error obtainable by the stochastic embedding technique. The idea behind it is to estimate the probability that the critical point ( -1,0) will not be encircled by the Nyquist curve of the return ratio transfer function of the true system. The results obtained from experiments on a motor-generator laboratory set-up show that the proposed probabilistic measure provides a reliable indication of the stability of the designed closed loop.  相似文献

The framework of the presented research is a large class of time-varying nonlinear systems with continuous motions. The study of the uniform asymptotic stability of the zero equilibrium state developed here goes back to, and relies on, the very foundations of the Lyapunov stability concept and the (second) Lyapunov method. Stability domains are first defined and examined. Then, their qualitative features are used to establish complete solutions to the problem of uniform asymptotic stability of the equilibrium for various subclasses of the systems. The solutions present conditions that are both necessary and sufficient for: (1) the uniform asymptotic stability, (2) an exact direct one-shot construction of a system Lyapunov function and (3) for a direct accurate one-shot determination of the asymptotic stability domain. In addition, the solutions establish a novel Lyapunov-method based approach to the asymptotic stability analysis. This enables an arbitrary selection of a function p(·) from a defined functional family to determine a Lyapunov function (·), [(·)], by solving D +(·) = ? p(·) or, equivalently, D + (·) = ? p(·)[1 ? (·)], respectively. The paper presents an application of the Rosenbrock inverse-Nyquist-array method in the design of PI controller for a multivariable control system. The proposed grapho-analytical procedure enables all controller parameters to be readily, determined when an application of conventional PI controllers within the control loops of multivariable control system yields a good general performance. The incorporation of an integral action term to each loop of the control system improves the system accuracy eliminating any steady-state error, when step changes in the reference values of the control loops are employed. Whey represents a significant dairy industry by-product that has recently received due attention based on the rich nutrient composition and significant transformation potential. Hereby, we investigated a possibility of whey lactose bioconversion into prebiotic compounds, galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS) using β-galactosidase transgalactosylation activity. The results showed that whey could be successfully used for GOS synthesis, since the highest GOS concentration (around 62 g L−1) was obtained batchwise using 40% (w/w) sweet whey powder solution under optimum conditions (50°C, pH 4.5). Nevertheless, an efficient immobilized preparation using methacrylic Lifetech ECR8409 immobilization carrier was developed, enabling additional process improvement and ensuring at least 4 reaction cycles with unchanged yields and 2.5- fold enhanced productivity in comparison to the soluble enzyme. Therefore, this study provides a valuable contribution to the efficient and economical valorization of whey, which can be further on utilized as functional food and feed constituent.  相似文献
