We investigated the dependence of the toner charge-to-mass ratio (q/m) in a two-component electrophotographic developer on the shaking time, toner concentration (T/C), carrier sizes, and the carrier core and the coating materials, as well as the resulting print qualities in terms of print density, background density, tone reproduction, resolution, and dot gain. Four different sizes of spherical ferrite carriers, four different carrier coating materials, and an irregular iron carrier were used with two types of toner: 14 um red toner (NP-4080) and 8 um cyan toner (CLC-500). The q/m measurement by the blow-off method showed that the red toner charge was positive while the cyan toner charge was negative with these carriers. The toner q/m values, which depended on the shaking time and decreased with the increasing T/C were much more affected by the larger carrier and the smaller toner. The carriers which yielded charges in the proper range produced better print qualities than did the other carriers that yielded a toner q/m  相似文献

Type-A zeolite evenly covered with hydroxyapatite thin layers was prepared using hydrothermal treatment at 120°C for 8 h under autogenous pressure. The hydroxyapatite needlelike nanocrystals, 100–200 nm in diameter and 30 nm in thickness, were grown under the reaction between discharged Ca2+ ions from type-A zeolite and PO43− ions in (NH4)3PO4 solution. The preferential orientations of the c -axis of hydroxyapatite crystals perpendicular to a zeolite surface were observed using transmission electron microscopy. The crystal structure of type-A zeolite was not destroyed under the reaction, but the surface morphology was changed only with complete covering of scaly hydroxyapatite particles.  相似文献

L-rhamnose isomerase of Pseudomonas sp. LL172 immobilized on BCW 2603 Chitopearl beads was used to produce L-talose and D-gulose. At equilibrium, the production yields of L-talose and D-gulose were determined to be 12 and 10% from L-tagatose and D-sorbose, respectively. The crystallized products were confirmed by HPLC, IR and NMR spectra, and optical rotation measurement analyses.  相似文献

This paper presents an experimental demonstration to determine electron temperature (T(e)) with unknown spectral sensitivity (transmissivity) in a Thomson scattering system. In this method, a double-pass scattering configuration is used and the scattered lights from each pass (with different scattering angles) are measured separately. T(e) can be determined from the ratio of the signal intensities without knowing a real chromatic dependence in the sensitivity. Note that the wavelength range for each spectral channel must be known. This method was applied to the TST-2 Thomson scattering system. As a result, T(e) measured from the ratio (T(e,r)) and T(e) measured from a standard method (T(e,s)) showed a good agreement with <∣T(e,r) - T(e,s)∣∕T(e,s)> = 7.3%.  相似文献

We have successfully developed a cosmetic film with polymerized cholesteric material. The film features a variety of colors by helical pitch gradients, diffusive texture, and arbitrary color patterns. It hides the display when turned off, and transmits display images when turned on. We believe it could change the display in the OFF‐state from the conventional black wall to specially designed decorations. In addition, they can be applied to hidden sensors.  相似文献

Adhesion between various polymer substrates and plasma films, which had been prepared from either tetramethylsilane or tetramethyltin by glow discharge polymerization and deposited on the surface of the polymer, was evaluated by the Scotch tape test and by lap-shear strength. It was found that the plasma films exhibited fairly good adhesion to the polymer substrates (with the exception of polypropylene). The position where failure occurred was determined by X-ray fluorescence analysis, scanning electron microscopy and energy diffractive X-ray analysis. This position was at an inner layer of the plasma film (cohesive failure of plasma film), within the polymer substrate (material failure of polymer) or at the interface between polymer substrate and plasma film (adhesive failure) depending upon the polymer substrate. These results indicate an important aspect of durability of surface modification by glow discharge polymerization.  相似文献

This paper presents eigenvector algorithms (EVAs) for blind deconvolution of multiple-input, multiple-output infinite impulse response channels (convolutive mixtures). An attractive feature of one of the proposed EVAs is that it is insensitive to Gaussian noises which are added to the outputs of the channels; hence, the proposed EVA is referred to as a "robust" eigenvector algorithm. ABSTRACT

The charge-to-mass ratio, q/m, of a two-component developer is the important factor in an electrophotographic system, since the toner charge controls the developed tone mass and the print quality. This article investigates the charging properties of differently shaped toners (spherical and irregular), and carrier particles that differ in their composition and surface oxide layer thickness by adjusting the applied current. The parameters for toner charging involving the mixing force, the toner concentration, the shape of the toner, the carrier type, and the current of the carrier surface are studied. The print quality is evaluated by focusing on the solid density, 60 and 40% halftone densities, background density, and edge sharpness of the characters. An explanation of the force between the toner and carrier particles is proposed.  相似文献
