A new approach to the evaluation of the accessibility of acid sites in microporous/mesoporous materials is developed and tested using a series of dealuminated mordenites. This approach is based on an IR-spectroscopic study of the consecutive adsorption of substituted alkylpyridines (pyridine, 2,4,6-trimethylpyridine, and 2,4,6-triethylpyridine) and carbon monoxide. This method allowed us to determine the strength and number of acid sites with various degrees of accessibility. The adsorption of 2,4,6-triethylpyridine on various types of materials is studied. Iminodiacetic acid has been covalently bonded to a bare silica monolith to produce the first reported high-performance monolithic chelating ion exchange column. Using the new column, separation and determination of traces of alkaline earth metal ions (low ppm) in high ionic strength samples (up to 2 M NaCl and KCl brines), could be achieved in under 40 s. At an eluent flow rate of 4 mL min(-1) retention time precision was < 1.2% (n = 9) for Mg(II) and Ca(II), with detector linearity (n = 5) over the range 2-10 mg L(-1) of between R2 = 0.985 and R2 = 0.995. In 1 M KCl and NaCl brine samples, detection limits of 0.2 mg L(-1) were possible.  相似文献

The reaction paths for the transformations of substituted acetylenes (X—CC—Y; X, Y = H, Me, Ph, CN) in reaction with phenylsulfenium cation were studied by quantum-chemical methods. It was shown that the reactions take place with the formation of acyclic and cyclic cationic intermediates. The factor that determines the structure and characteristics of these cations is the induction and polarizing action of the substituents in the acetylenes and to a lesser degree their electron-donor characteristics. The resonance effect of the phenyl substituent has a predominantly levelling action on the distribution of charges.  相似文献

The ion-exchange and acid-base properties of Silasorb 600 (10 μm) with immobilized histidine (His-SiO2) were investigated. The acid-base properties of the sorbent were estimated from the dependence sof the retention of organic acids and bases on the eluent pH. The effect of various organic modifiers (benzoic, citric, oxalic, and sulfuric acids) and the eluent pH on the retention of inorganic ions was studied. It was shown that His-SiO2 exhibits anion-exchange properties in acidic and weakly acidic media at pH < 5.7. Eight anions were separated under optimal conditions on a 150 × 4.6-mm column in 21 min using a 5 mM oxialic acid solution as an eluent.  相似文献
