3-Phenyl-1-benzopyrylium percholorates 1a, 1i react exculusively at C-2 with ethanol and isopropyl alcohol, affording mixed acetals 2a, 3a, 3i . Aqueous ammonia gives symmetrical secondary amines 4a, 4b or bis(3-phenyl-2H-1-benzopyran-2-yl)amines, while with aqueous aliphatic amines (40%) bis-acetals 5a, 5b or 2,2′-oxy-bis(3-phenyl-2H-1-benzopyrans) are characterized. In some other acidic conditions, 5a and 5b are also obtained.  相似文献

Photosystem I (PSI) is one of two photosynthetic reaction centers present in plants, algae, and cyanobacteria and catalyzes the reduction of ferredoxin and the oxidation of cytochrome c or plastocyanin. The PSI primary chlorophyll donor, which is oxidized in the primary electron-transfer events, is a heterodimer of chl a and a' called P700. It has been suggested that protein relaxation accompanies light-induced electron transfer in this reaction center (Dashdorj, N.; Xu, W.; Martinsson, P.; Chitnis, P. R.; Savikhin, S. Biophys. J. 2004, 86, 3121. Kim, S.; Sacksteder, C. A.; Bixby, K. A.; Barry, B. A. Biochemistry 2001, 40, 15384). To investigate the details of electron transfer and relaxation events in PSI, we have employed several experimental approaches. First, we report a pH-dependent viscosity effect on P700+ reduction; this result suggests a role for proton transfer in the PSI electron-transfer reactions. Second, we find that changes in hydration alter the rate of P700+ reduction and the interactions of P700 with the protein environment. This result suggests a role for bound water in electron transfer to P700+. Third, we present evidence that deuteration of the tyrosine aromatic side chain perturbs the vibrational spectrum, associated with P700+ reduction. We attribute this result to a linkage between CH-pi interactions and electron transfer to P700+.  相似文献

The carbonyl bands of 2-formyl and 3-formyl-furans [18O] are determined and explained. The magnitude of the inductive and mesomeric effects in 2-acyl and 3-acyl-thiophenes and furans is discussed on the basis of a comparison of the frequencies and the intensities of the v(CO) and v(CC) bands. The conformational preference of some aroyl-furans and aroyl-formyl-furans and the rotation around the C(Ar)-C(O) bonds are related to these parameters.  相似文献

ESI mass spectrometry was used to investigate the europium complexation by tridentate ligands L identical with 2,6-bis(5,6-dialkyl-1,2,4-triazin-3-yl)-pyridines (DATP) that have shown unique separation properties of actinides(III) from lanthanides(III) in nitric acid solutions. Complexes of three ligands, namely methyl (DMTP), n-propyl (DnPTP), and iso-propyl (DiPTP), have been investigated in acidic solutions to check the aqueous-phase stability of Eu(L)(3)(3+) ions identified previously in the solid state. The data obtained show, first, the presence of stable Eu(L)(3)(3+) ions with DnPTP (log beta(3)(app) = 12.0 +/- 0.5) and DiPTP (log beta(3)(app) = 14.0 +/- 0.6) in methanol/water (1:1 v/v) solutions under pH range 2.8-4.6 and, second, a mechanism whereby alkyl moieties contribute to a self-assembling process leading to the formation of Eu(L)(3)(3+) ions. Other complexes such as Eu(L)(2)(3+) ions are only observed for DnPTP (log beta(2)(app) = 6.7 +/- 0.5) and DMTP (log beta(2)(app) = 6.3 +/- 0.1) and Eu(L)(3+) only for DMTP (log beta(1)(app) = 2.9 +/- 0.2). The log beta(n)(app) values for the Eu(L)(n)(3+) (n = 1-3) complexes were determined at pH 2.8. Better insight was given in this study concerning the role of the hydrophobic exterior of the ligands for the design of a new range of extracting agents.  相似文献

Résumé On a étudié la réaction à l'état solide et fondu entre l'oxyde de chrome trivalent et les nitrates alcalins par analyse thermogravimétrique et analyse thermique différentielle. Les conditions optimales pour l'oxydation complète du chrome(III) en chrome(VI) ont été déterminées. De plus, on a établi le rendement de la réaction. La spectrophotométrie d'absorption infrarouge a permis d'identifier les phases formées aux divers stades de la réaction.
The reaction between trivalent chromium and alkali nitrates in the solid and molten phase was studied by thermogravimetry and differential thermal analysis. The optimum conditions for the oxidation Cr(III) Cr(IV) as well as the yield were determined. The phases existing at various reaction stages were identified by infrared spectroscopy.

Zusammenfassung Die Reaktion in fester sowie in geschmolzener Phase zwischen dreiwertigem Chrom und Alkalinitraten wurde thermogravimetrisch und differential-thermoanalytisch geprüft. Die optimalen Umstände der Oxydation Cr(III) Cr(VI) sowie die Reaktionsausbeute wurden bestimmt. Durch infrarote Spektroskopie wurden die in verschiedenen Reaktionszeitpunkten vorliegenden Phasen identifiziert.

The reactions of the Mn(III)(3) and Mn(II)Mn(III)(2) complexes [Mn(3)O(O(2)CEt)(6)(py)(3)][ClO(4)] and [Mn(3)O(O(2)CEt)(6)(py)(3)] with pyridine-2,6-dimethanol (pdmH(2)) afford the mixed-valence Mn(II)(6)Mn(III)(2) octanuclear complex [Mn(8)O(2)(py)(4)(O(2)CEt)(8)(L)(2)][ClO(4)](2) (1) and the Mn(II)(7)Mn(III)(2) enneanuclear complex [Mn(9)(O(2)CEt)(12)(pdm)(pdmH)(2)(L)(2)] (2), respectively. Both compounds contain a novel pentadentate ligand, the dianion of (6-hydroxymethylpyridin-2-yl)-(6-hydroxymethylpyridin-2-ylmethoxy)methanol (LH(2)), which is the hemiacetal formed in situ from the Mn-assisted oxidation of pdmH(2). Complex 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2(1)/n with the following cell parameters at -160 degrees C: a = 16.6942(5) A, b = 13.8473(4) A, c = 20.0766(6) A, beta = 99.880(1) degrees, V = 4572.27 A(3), and Z = 2, R (R(w)) = 4.78 (5.25). Complex 2.0.2MeCN crystallizes in the triclinic space group Ponemacr; with the following cell parameters at -157 degrees C: a = 12.1312(4) A, b = 18.8481(6) A, c = 23.2600(7) A, alpha = 78.6887(8) degrees, beta = 77.9596(8) degrees, gamma = 82.3176(8) degrees, V = 5076.45 A(3), and Z = 2, R (R(w)) = 4.12 (4.03). Both complexes are new structural types comprising distorted-cubane units linked together, albeit in two very different ways. In addition, complex 2 features three distinct binding modes for the chelating ligands derived from deprotonated pdmH(2). Complexes 1 and 2 were characterized by variable-temperature ac and dc magnetic susceptibility measurements and found to possess spin ground states of 0 and 11/2, respectively. Least-squares fitting of the reduced magnetization data gave S = 11/2, g = 2.0, and D = -0.11 cm(-1) for complex 2, where D is the axial zero-field splitting parameter. Direct current magnetization versus field studies on 2 at <1 K show hysteresis behavior at <0.3 K, establishing 2 as a new single-molecule magnet. Magnetization decay measurements gave an effective barrier to magnetization relaxation of U(eff) = 3.1 cm(-1) = 4.5 K.  相似文献

The reactivity of a series of Zn(Cys)(4) zinc finger model peptides towards H(2)O(2) and O(2) has been investigated. The oxidation products were identified by HPLC and ESI-MS analysis. At pH<7.5, the zinc complexes and the free peptides are oxidised to bis-disulfide-containing peptides. Above pH 7.5, the oxidation of the zinc complexes by H(2)O(2) also yields sulfinate- and sulfonate-containing overoxidised peptides. At pH 7.0, monitoring of the reactions between the zinc complexes and H(2)O(2) by HPLC revealed the sequential formation of two disulfides. Several techniques for the determination of the rate constant for the first oxidation step corresponding to the attack of H(2)O(2) by the Zn(Cys)(4) site have been compared. This rate constant can be reliably determined by monitoring the oxidation by HPLC, fluorescence, circular dichroism or absorption spectroscopy in the presence of excess ethyleneglycol bis(2-aminoethyl ether)tetraacetic acid. In contrast, monitoring of the release of zinc with 4-(2-pyridylazo)resorcinol or of the thiol content with 5,5'-dithiobis(2-nitrobenzoate) did not yield reliable values of this rate constant for the case in which the formation of the second disulfide is slower than the formation of the first. The kinetic measurements clearly evidence a protective effect of zinc on the oxidation of the cysteines by both H(2)O(2) and O(2), which points to the fact that zinc binding diminishes the nucleophilicity of the thiolates. In addition, the reaction between the zinc finger and H(2)O(2) is too slow to consider zinc fingers as potential sensors for H(2)O(2) in cells.  相似文献

A polymerase chain reaction (PCR) derived method for preparing long DNA, consisting of multiple repeat units of one to ten base pairs, is described. Two seeding oligodeoxynucleotides, so‐called oligoseeds, which encode the repeat unit and produce a duplex with 5′‐overhangs, are extended using a thermostable archaeal DNA polymerase. Multiple rounds of heat–cool extension cycles, akin to PCR, rapidly elongate the oligoseed. Twenty cycles produced long DNA with uniformly repeating sequences to over 20 kilobases (kb) in length. The polynucleotides prepared include [A]n/[T]n, [AG]n/[TC]n, [A2G]n/[T2C]n, [A3G]n/[T3C]n, [A4G]n/[T4C]n, [A9G]n/[T9C]n, [GATC]n/[CTAG]n, and [ACTGATCAGC]n/[TGACTAGTCG]n, indicating that the method is extremely flexible with regard to the repeat length and base sequence of the initial oligoseeds. DNA of this length (20 kb≈7 μm) with strictly defined base reiterations should find use in nanomaterial applications.  相似文献
