Summary Autonomic innervation of the adrenal cortex has been demonstrated in several species. Detailed ultrastructural studies on the innervation of the zona fasciculata of the normal human adrenal cortex are lacking. We report herein our observations on the pattern of innervation of the cells of the zona fasciculata of the normal adult human cortex at both the light and electron microscope levels. Postganglionic unmyelinated fibers were observed to descend from a dense capsular meshwork and to be distributed as delicate branches among the columns of endocrine cells. Immunoperoxidase staining confirmed the presence of nerve fibers in the zona fasciculata in a distribution similar to that observed after staining with silver impregnation methods. Ultrastructural findings lent further support to these observations by the demonstration of bundles of unmyelinated fibers with focal enlargements containing terminal boutons with both clear and dense core vesicles in close approximation with the endocrine cells. 相似文献

目的 :探讨老年脑梗死患者外周血中血小板膜糖蛋白变化的临床意义。 方法 :应用流式细胞术检测了 6 8例急性期老年脑梗死患者外周血血小板活化分子标记物CD4 1、CD6 2p和CD6 3的含量水平 ,与 4 2例正常老年人对照 ;并对脑梗死组病灶大小、梗死部位、病情分级等与血小板活化分子表达的变化进行分析 ,应用统计学进行处理。 结果 :急性期脑梗死患者血小板粘附分子CD4 1、CD6 2 p和CD6 3的表达水平显著高于正常对照组 (P <0 .0 1) ,且与梗死灶大小及病情分级密切相关 ,与梗死部位无关。 结论 :老年脑梗死患者急性期外周血血小板活化功能明显增强 ,为早期应用抗血小板聚集药物的治疗提供了实验依据 相似文献

目的:探讨大鼠皮质神经元分离纯化的有效方法。方法:取胎鼠大脑皮质细胞,分别在不同的培养液中进行原代培养,利用相差显微镜对培养的细胞进行动态观察;并以免疫细胞化学技术对神经元进行染色。结果:在相差显微镜下可见加用N2添加剂和胎牛血清培养的神经元生长良好,胞体形态多样,突起数目多,长度长,与邻近神经元的胞体或突起形成接触,而胶质细胞则大量死亡,神经元纯化率达94%以上,未加用N2添加剂培养的神经元胶质细胞大量存在,神经元纯化率达50%左右。结论:N2添加剂和胎牛血清联合应用可使大鼠皮质神经元得到良好的生长和有效纯化。 相似文献

We developed a semiautomatic method termed “cortical circumferential profiling” for objective analysis of cerebral cortex function in emission tomographic neuroimaging studies. This method treats cortex as a continuous ring near the outer brain edge. A computer algorithm samples the cortex at 60 contiguous, equiangular locations, using 1-cm2 samples. These values are plotted as a function of cortical angle to produce the cortical circumferential profile. This method was used in a study of regional cerebral perfusion in 15 patients with Alzheimer's disease and 8 elderly control subjects using N-isopropyl [I-123]-iodoamphetamine. Cortical circumferential profiling decreases variability, examines the entire cortex within slices at preselected levels above the orbital-meatal line, and facilitates intrasubject and intersubject comparisons. 相似文献

Several types of neurons were differentiated on the basis of a study of neuronal activity in various parts of the cortex near the sulcus principalis during the execution of spatial delayed reactions by monkeys. It was established that the different types of neurons are represented in different numbers in. different parts of the cortex near the sulcus principalis. The determination of several factors influencing the activity of these neurons and the comparison of data on their quantitative representation in the anterior, middle, and posterior parts of the cortex near the sulcus principalis with the existing behavioral data obtained after local ablations of identical regions of the brain made it possible to postulate that neurons belonging to the different types are involved in the analysis of different processes and represent different functional units.Translated from Fiziologicheskii. Writer's cramp is a task-specific dystonia that leads to involuntary hand postures during writing. Abnormalities of sensory processing may play a pathophysiological role in this disorder. Electrophysiology studies in a monkey model of focal dystonia have revealed de-differentiation of sensory maps and the existence of single cells in hand regions of area 3b with enlarged receptive fields that extend to the surfaces of more than one digit. These changes may lead to abnormal processing of simultaneous sensory inputs. To study abnormal processing of simultaneous sensory information in adult humans with writer's cramp, we used functional magnetic resonance imaging to compare the response in primary sensory cortex with simultaneous tactile stimulation of the index and middle finger, with the response to stimulation of each finger alone. We tested five patients with writer's cramp and seven unaffected (normal) subjects. In the normal subjects, a linear combination of the activation patterns for individual finger stimulation predicts the pattern of activity for combined stimulation with 12% error. In writer's cramp patients, the linear combination predicted the combined stimulation pattern with 30% error. Results indicate a nonlinear interaction between the sensory cortical response to individual finger stimulation in writer's cramp. 目的:观察普洛托品(protopine,Pro)对正常大鼠学习能力及海马、大脑皮层乙酰胆碱酯酶活性的影响。方法:大鼠每天Pro 0.5mg/kg灌胃,28d后三等分Y迷宫测定大鼠学习成绩,并测定海马及大脑皮层乙酰胆碱酯酶活性。结果:Pro组大鼠达到学会标准所需的训练次数明显减少,与对照组比较差异有极显著性(P<0.01),Pro组大鼠海马及大脑皮层乙酰胆碱酯酶活性亦明显降低,与对照组比较差异有显著性(P<0.01,P<0.05),结论:Pro可提高正常大鼠学习能力,并降低海马及大脑皮层乙酰胆碱酯酶活性。 相似文献

Lesion evolution during focal cerebral ischemia may depend on flow restrictions or on accumulation of toxic mediators within the infarct and expansion of these factors to the periinfarct region. So far, the precise contribution of flow dependent versus spreading-mediated impairment of viable periinfarct tissue has not been determined. Therefore, we measured lesion expansion, flow restrictions and glutamate distribution on serial brain sections at different time points after experimental focal ischemia.Permanent focal ischemia was induced by occlusion of the right middle cerebral artery in male rats and the flow reduction was subsequently measured at 1, 12 and 24 h using iodo[14C]antipyrine autoradiography. Additionally, the necrotic volume was determined on serial brain sections and the glutamate content was measured in tissue samples from adjacent microdissections.Twelve hours after focal ischemia no noteworthy viable areas with blood flow restrictions of 20-40 ml 100 g− 1 min− 1 existed but at 24 h the necrotic tissue exceeded the hemodynamically compromised region by 40 ± 21 mm3 (24%). Furthermore, at 12 and 24 h the glutamate content was elevated in areas surrounding the infarct.Relevant flow restrictions are detectable only during early stages of infarct maturation, whereas the propagation of secondary factors may be the predominant mechanism for delayed infarct evolution. 相似文献
