美籍华裔专家讲通信工程技术新动态

本文扼要介绍１９９５年北京中美工程技术研讨会通信组五位美籍华裔专家关于通信技术新动态的专题报告。一是宽带综合业务数字网的同步数字系列（ＳＤＨ）和异步转移模式（ＡＴＭ）；二是光纤通信系统的光放大器（ＯＦＡ）、波分多路（ＷＤＭ）、光电子集成（ＯＥＩＣ）、色散补偿和新型光纤；三是蜂窝网车载移动通信和全国性个人通信业务（ＰＣＳ）、时分多址（ＴＤＭＡ）和码分多址（ＣＤＭＡ），四是智能网（ＩＮ）体系结构、概念模型和业务管理系统（ＳＭＳ）；五是数字传输网的恢复（ＦＡＳＴＡＲ）、维护（ＴＭＰ）和供应（ＴＳＮＯＷ）三种管理平台，及综合网络管理系统（ＩＮＭＳ）。     

不断进取的AXE10

有近２０年历史的爱立信ＡＸＥ１０交换机在信息时代到来之际再放异彩，目前，它作为公共平台广泛应用于ＰＳＴＮ、ＩＳＤＮ、ＩＮ，ＰＬＭＮ、信令网和商务通信等。     

Carla: A rule language for specifying communications architectures

Due to the unique requirements of a series of projects to specify communications architectures using graphical representations (Cara and MFD), we have developed the communications-oriented rule-based language Carla (Cara Rule Language), which provides an executable specification of the architecture being developed. Carla is designed to provide the ability to specify and simulate high-level, possibly incomplete, specifications of communications architectures, and to allow the developer to refine the specification through the addition of behavior-describing rules. Carla is also well-suited to creating black-box specifications of any system whose behavior depends on input/output history. We describe the features of the language, discuss various design issues, and provide examples of various communications protocols specified in Carla.     

单小区模型的掉话率分析

掉话率是无线通信网络中最重要的关键性能指标(KPI)之一,本文分析了中国移动在讨论网络性能评估方法时提出的3个不同的掉话率计算公式,通过建立一个单小区的模型,使用一些合理的假设和分析,从理论上确定了一个最为准确的计算公式.     

中压变频器在宣钢炼钢厂除尘风机中的应用

本文介绍了SIMOVERT MV中压变频器在宣钢炼钢厂一次除尘风机中的应用情况。变频器现场运行表明，采用中压变频器对转炉除尘风机进行调速节能获得了成功，节能效果明显。     

基于MATLAB的远程电机调速系统设计

详细介绍了利用MATLAB语言实现串行通信的原理和步骤,并给出了在MATLAB环境下实现远程电机调速的具体应用,实验结果表明该方案具有简单、实用、实时性能好,控制精度高等特点.     

Advanced modulation formats for more robust optical transmission systems

Interest in advanced modulation formats for optical communication systems has so far experienced two major waves. The first one was motivated by the potential to enhance receiver sensitivity of thermal noise-limited systems using coherent detection in combination with phase shift keying. It ended with the advent of optical amplification, enabling high sensitivities together with polarization insensitive, simple and stable direct detection. The second wave is still rolling, fueled by the potential of advanced modulation formats to increase robustness of optical transmission systems against signal distortions. Due to performance limitations given by direct detection and nonlinear effects in the transmission fiber, it is not decided yet, whether there will be widespread application in carrier networks.

Virtual teamwork in very large undergraduate classes

Collaborative work is an important part of tertiary education but it is very difficult to arrange and supervise for extremely large classes of students in their first year. The possibility that computer-mediated communication can be used to facilitate this type of learning is appealing from a pragmatic organisational point of view. This paper explains in detail what a ‘virtual team’ is in the educational context. It reports on an interpretive field study where students taking an introductory course were allowed to choose where and when they did the required collaborative work. The paper discusses the factors that should be taken into account when offering students the option of working as a virtual team. These include factors that influence the students’ choice. The project cannot be considered to have been successful but indicates reasons for the lack of success and suggests contexts in which it would be valuable to repeat the project. The importance of extensive preparation in terms of teaching the students necessary social and technological skills cannot be over emphasised.     

詈语的语用认知价值探讨

詈语在自然语言中广泛存在和使用是不争的事实，但长期以来詈语被视为教材编写和课堂教学的禁区。文章在探讨詈语定义和分类的基础上，对詈语在交际中的认知语用价值进行了实例论证。进而提出在语言教学中对詈语重新定位的问题。
