Influence of the deposition atmosphere on the characteristics of Pd–Mg thin films prepared by pulsed laser deposition

Bilayered palladium (30 nm thick)–magnesium (350 nm thick) thin films were prepared using the pulsed laser deposition technique in the presence of various background gases (Ar, He and a mixture He + H₂) under different partial pressures (47 and 27 Pa). According to the deposition atmosphere, the Pd/Mg interface shows either a sharp or an extended transition. The electrochemical hydriding properties and the mechanical stability upon cycling of the Pd/Mg film are greatly improved when an extended «intermixing» zone between the Pd and Mg layers is present. The Pd–Mg films prepared under pure helium fulfill these conditions.     

A disposable sensor based on immobilization of acetylcholinesterase to multiwall carbon nanotube modified screen-printed electrode for determination of carbaryl

A simple method has been devised for immobilization of acetylcholinesterase (AChE) covalent bonding to a multiwall carbon nanotube (MWNT)-cross-linked cellulose acetate composite on a screen-printed carbon electrode (SPCE) and a sensitive and disposable amperometric sensor for rapid determination of carbaryl pesticide is proposed. The immobilized enzyme was preserved on this film because of the excellent biocompatibility and non-toxicity of cellulose acetate. Based on the inherent conductive properties of the MWNT, the immobilized AChE had greater affinity for ATCl and excellent catalytic effect in the hydrolysis of ATCl. MWNT improved the interface enzymatic hydrolysis reaction and increased the amperometric response of the sensor. Under optimum conditions, the inhibition of carbaryl on AChE increased linearly with the increasing concentration of carbaryl in two ranges, from 0.01 to 0.5 μg mL⁻¹ and from 2 to 20 μg mL⁻¹, with the correlation coefficients of 0.9985 and 0.9977, respectively. The detection limit was 0.004 μg mL⁻¹ taken as the concentration equivalent to 10% decrease in signal. The sensor showed acceptable stability, accuracy and could be fabricated in batches, thus it is economic and portable. This type of disposable enzyme-based amperometric sensor has extensive application potential in environmental monitoring of pesticides.     

Laser irradiation of oligosiloxane copolymer thin films functionalized with side chain bulky carbosilane moieties

Linear oligosiloxanes functionalized with bulky side chain tris(trimethylsilyl)hexyl (TTSH) substituents were transformed into cross-linked materials by UV 193 nm excimer pulsed laser ablation. The process occurred without any catalyst, by reactions of radicals formed in UV laser induced photolysis of side tris(trimethylsilyl)hexyl groups. Chemical changes were monitored by FTIR, LC/UV, GC/MS and solubility tests.     

DSU与DSU采集链

短脉冲激光与岩石相互作用机理初探

石油开采过程中，为增大原始岩体的渗流速度，一般采用水压致裂或射孔弹的方法来加以实现，但两种方法都存在一定缺陷。为探索一种新概念石油开采技术，即采用激光技术增大原始岩体的渗透率，对短脉冲激光辐照自然、饱水和饱油状态的花岗岩、大理岩和红砂岩的响应作了初步研究。得到了激光辐照下，岩石试样内烧蚀坑的三维形态以及烧蚀状态与脉冲数的初步关系。结果表明：脉冲激光可以在试样局部产生一定的裂纹；饱油试样的烧蚀情况较饱水和自然状态更严重。但对于产生的裂纹数量，尺寸以及方向等方面的控制尚需进一步的工作。     

多相流动超声波测井模拟实验研究

油田油井动态监测的实质是准确地测量各生产层位的流量和含水率，为此研制了超声波三相流量测试仪。利用该仪器测量油、气、水多相流动的各相流量，通过模拟井动态实验验证了该测井方法的可行性，适用于我国90％以上的生产井．克服了现有国产仪器不能测气和用集流伞下井测量等缺点。     

A disposable single-use electrochemical sensor for the detection of uric acid in human whole blood

We report here a non-enzymatic detecting electrode strip for fast monitoring of uric acid in human whole blood. A single-use amperometric uric acid sensor strip, incorporating a three-electrode configuration, has been fabricated on a polypropylene substrate using low cost screen-printing (thick-film) technology. Both the working and counter electrodes were prepared by screen-printing commercial carbon ink. The integration on the same support of pseudo-reference electrode was obtained by screen-printing a commercial silver ink and subsequent electrochemical pretreatment. Simply by placing a 20 μl human whole blood drop on the strip is enough for uric acid analysis by square-wave voltammetry. Real human whole blood samples were analyzed by this method and compared to the phosphotungstic acid clinical test procedure with satisfactory results.
