On interrelation between the internal pressure and the cohesion energy density

The question about the definition of the “internal pressure” concept is being discussed. It is shown that the previously found differential relation between the cohesion energy density and the internal pressure is one of the examples of an absolutely general interrelation between definitely connected differential functions. It is ascertained that the ratio (the internal pressure divided by the cohesion energy density) is a structuresensitive parameter inherent to the calorific (thermal) equation of a liquid state.

This paper investigates the periodic boundary value problems for a class of second order functional differential equations. The monotone iterative technique and the maximum principle are applied to obtain the existence of maximal and minimal solutions.     

OSCILLATION FOR SOLUTIONS OF SYSTEMS OF N-TH ORDER PARTIAL FUNCTIONAL DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS

In this paper, some sufficient conditions for the oscillation for solutions to systems of n-th order partial functional differential equations are obtained.     

111In–L–LDL and 153Gd–L–LDL as radiotracers for detection of AR4‐2J rat pancreatic tumors

Pancreatic cancer has an extremely poor prognosis, due, in part, to lack of methods for early diagnosis. The present study was designed to evaluate the potential of labeling low‐density lipoprotein (LDL) with a radionuclide using a lipid chelating agent, bis(stearylamide) of diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid (L), to detect pancreatic tumors by gamma‐scintigraphy. Previous studies indicated that the difficulty of visualization of pancreatic tumors was due to their poor vascularization. This study compares the ability of two radiotracers, ¹¹¹In–L–LDL and ¹⁵³Gd–L–LDL to target highly vascularized rat pancreatic tumors (AR4‐2J) implanted in nude mice. Biodistribution studies showed that the tumor uptake of ¹¹¹In–L–LDL and ¹⁵³Gd–L–LDL tracers was twofold and fivefold higher respectively than with the controls (¹¹¹In citrate and ¹⁵³Gd citrate respectively). These tracers would thus be suitable for scintigraphic imaging. We show here that LDL could be employed as a delivery system for tracers such as ¹¹¹In or ¹⁵³Gd when these two radionuclides are complexed by a lipid‐chelating anchor, and that ¹¹¹In–L–LDL and ¹⁵³Gd–L–LDL enabled better visualization of the pancreatic tumor tissues, with a better result with ¹⁵³Gd–L–LDL. Ab initio study of sodium intercalation into metal oxides

Using the full-potential linearized augmented plane wave (FP-LAPW) method, we have studied the effect of chemistry on the average intercalation voltage (AIV) caused by the Na ions intercalating into transition metal oxides. The effect of transition metal was systematically studied by varying M=Co, Ni and Mn in NaMO₂ and fixing the α-NaFeO₂ layered structure. The effect of the guest atoms into the host material is discussed in terms of the structural and electronic properties. Comparatively to Li intercalation, a significant electron transfer towards transition metal was found. This observation suggests that the transition metal contribute to the AIV determination and confirms the common assumption that intercalated electron reduces M⁴⁺ to M³⁺.     

C D : a computer program to generate 1D, 2D and 3D grids of functions dependent on the molecular ab initio electron density

A program to compute many functions dependent on the electron density ρ(r) from the results of ab initio molecular calculations is presented. The program allows the generation of different one-, two-, and three-dimensional grids for further graphical representation or numerical analysis. Other options like extracting separate atom contributions to the function computed or locating maximum and minimum values are also implemented. A number of illustrative applications regarding different ρ(r)-dependent functions are presented and the performance and portability of the program is discussed.     

卤代对苝醌类光敏剂光敏活性影响的量子化学研究

以一种新型的醌类光敏剂—菌生素 (HMB)为模型化合物 ,利用量子化学从头算HF/ 6 31G和含时密度泛函TD B3LYP/ 6 31G方法计算研究了卤代作用对醌类光敏剂分子性质和光敏活性的影响 .结果发现 ,卤代作用降低了HMB母体的HOMO和LUMO能级 (EHOMO和ELUMO)及其差值△E ,随卤族元素从上到下 ,EHOMO和ELUMO呈增大趋势 ,而△E呈减小趋势 ,使得分子激发光谱有不同程度的红移 ,在增加PQP三重态量子产率的同时降低了分子最低三重激发态的能量 ,两种作用相互抵消 ,使得卤代物的 1O2 量子产率与母体相似 ;增加了分子的绝热电子亲合势 ,使分子产生O2 -的能力下降 ;卤原子的引入 ,降低了HMB母体分子内氢键的强度 ,同时使顺式构型的分子内质子传递势垒增大 ,而使反式构型势垒减小 .
