In the ceramic technology the first step to produce sintered bodies is the manufacturing of powders which then are densified. The adhesion mechanisms between the single particles and the agglomerates produced from them determine the densification process. Starting from theoretical considerations adhesion mechanisms, such as solid bridge formation, adhesive bonding and glide-promoting effects, are discussed in principle. Subsequently, the effects of surface-active substances on the densification behaviour of clay-ceramics and oxide-ceramic bodies are discussed. Further, the evaluation of the action of additives to the powder mixtures on the microstructure of the compacts, such as porsity and texture, leads to a compaction equation which describes the transition from the powder pile to a densified green body. 相似文献

Samples of 1/6Ba5 Nb4 O15 ·5/6BaNb2 O6 along with the pure end members, Ba5 Nb4 O15 and BaNb2 O6 , were sintered under low oxygen partial pressure. The degradation mechanisms of dielectric loss in this reducing atmosphere have been studied. We found that the degradation occurred primarily due to the formation of oxygen vacancies caused by the reduction of Nb5+ . This was determined by measuring the electrical conductivity, and through X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. More importantly, the dielectric loss of 1/6Ba5 Nb4 O15 ·5/6BaNb2 O6 samples with higher temperature stability was further decreased on sintering in a reducing atmosphere. This observation has been explained by considering the increased porosity and formation of a reduced second phase, Ba0.65 NbO3 . 相似文献

Three-dimensional (3D) long range well ordered macroporous SiCN ceramics were prepared by infiltrating sacrificial colloidal silica templates with the low molecular weight preceramic polymer, polysilazane. This was followed by a thermal curing step, pyrolysis at 1250 °C in a N2 atmosphere, and finally the removal of the templates by etching with dilute HF. The produced macroporous SiCN ceramics showed high BET surface areas (pore volume) in the range 455 m2/g (0.31 cm3/g)–250 m2/g (0.16 cm3/g) with the pore sizes of 98–578 nm, which could be tailored by controlling the sizes of the sacrificial silica spheres in the range 112–650 nm. The sphere-inversed macropores were interconnected by 50 ± 30 nm windows and 3–5 nm mesopores embedded in the porous SiCN ceramic frameworks, which resulted in a trimodal pore size distribution. The surface of the achieved porous SiCN ceramic was then modified by Pt–Ru nanoparticle depositing under mild chemical conditions. 相似文献
