Chromatography has been an important tool in marine laboratories. Since the 1960s, marine laboratories have been involved in the analysis of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), organochlorine pesticides (OCPs), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), and brominated flame retardants (BFRs). Column chromatography and liquid chromatography (LC) techniques have been used, mainly in the clean-up phase, while gas chromatography (GC) has been used extensively in the final determination of these contaminants. Developments have been observed from the use of packed GC columns, via capillary columns to the use of heart-cut multi-dimensional GC and comprehensive multi-dimensional GC. The progress made in interlaboratory studies and the availability of certified reference materials are discussed.  相似文献

New segmented aromatic poly(ether sulfone)-amide and poly(ether sulfone)-imide copolymers were synthesized by the chain extension of α,w-diamine-terminated poly(ether sulfone) oligomer with both aromatic dicarboxylic acid chlorides and tetracarboxylic dianhydrides, respectively. Crystallization of the poly(ether sulfone)unit was suppressed by the introduction of amide or imide linkage along the polymer backbone, giving amorphous copolymers that were +eadily soluble in various organic solvents. The copolymers had somewhat higher glass transition temperatures than the parent poly(ether sulfone). Pure silica zeolite ZSM-5 has been synthesised in a slightly acidic aqueous fluoride medium which produces the protonated form of the zeolite ZSM-5 [1]. Tetrahalometallate [2] species of cobalt and manganese have been synthesised and increasing mole fractions incorporated into the zeolite synthesis gel. The products have been analysed and characterised using simultaneous thermogravimetric-derivative thermogravimetric analysis (TG-DTG). The thermal decomposition, under nitrogen of the associated tetraethylammonium (TEA+) and tetrapropylammonium (TPA+) cations occluded within the zeolite channels is indicative and characteristic of the incorporation of the heteroatoms into the zeolitic framework. Analysis by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray fluorescence (XRF), and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) has confirmed the reliability of thermogravimetric (TG) and derived thermogravimetric analysis (DTG) as a diagnostic tool. By using the relationship equation of Partition coefficients with water solubilities for polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), we have estimated the solubilities of PAHs. In addition the high-performance liquid chromatograph (HPLC) method has been used for the indirect determination of solubilities of PAHs. t3ased on the di-region theory, We have studied the relationship of the solubilities of PAHs with carcinogenicity and introduced the solubility parameter into the di-region theory equation. The calculated carcinogenicity of PAHs from the obtained equation shows little difference from that calculated from Dai Qianhuan's equation.  相似文献

Summary Lithium chloride (LiCl) effect on the retention process of a phenol derivative series was investigated on two types of fluorinated stationary phase (i.e. a silica grafted with fluorinated linear alkyl chain (L-FSP) and a silica grafted with fluorinated aromatic ring stationary phase (A-FSP)). The results showed that the solute retention is enhanced when the A-FSP was used instead of the L-FSP due to additional – interactions. For the two fluorinated stationary phases (FSPs), the phenol-FSP association process can be divided into two LiCl concentration domains demonstrated that it was important to take into account the adsorbtion of Cl anion on the FSPs. As well, enthalpy-entropy compensation revealed that the solute retention mechanism was independent of the solute molecular structure and confirmed a change on the solute retention mechanism at a critical LiCl concentration value around 0.02M.  相似文献

研究了邻苯二甲酸、苯甲酸和对羟基苯甲酸3种芳香酸分别做淋洗液的单柱阳离子色谱法分离测定Li+、Na+、NH4+、K+、甲胺、乙胺和正丙胺7种物质。3种芳香酸做淋洗液均可将7种物质分离开,且分离结果差异不大。在淋洗液浓度相同的条件下,邻苯二甲酸做淋洗液测定的检出限较低。选择3.0 mmol/L邻苯二甲酸做淋洗液测得了上述7种物质的检出限和线性范围,并进行了叶面肥试样分析,7种物质的加标回收率在96.4%~98.6%之间。  相似文献

Various types of sodium cellulose sulfate (SCS), dissolved in a 1M LiCl solution, were investigated by alternating current (AC)polarography. The SCS samples differed in the degree of substitution (DS), thedistribution of substituents within the anhydroglucose unit (AGU), and alongthechain, due to the method of synthesis. The goal was to study theelectrosorptionbehavior, characterized by the shape of the desorption wave in the polarogram,as a function of the chemical structure of the SCS samples. The shape of thedesorption wave reflects domains of different substitution. A superimpositionofparameters like DS and pattern of substitution on the electrosorption behaviorwas observed. The AC polarography method described can be used as a tool todistinguish between an even or uneven distribution of substituents along thecellulose chain.  相似文献
