Transmit SENSE adapts the idea of parallel imaging to RF transmission. Using multiple independent transmit coils, the duration of a spatially selective RF pulse can be reduced. It is known from parallel imaging that a suboptimal coil-array geometry might lead to an ill-conditioned sensitivity matrix and, thus, to a non-homogenous noise amplification in the resulting image. The current paper investigates the consequences of suboptimal coil arrays for Transmit SENSE. Two possible consequences of a suboptimal coil array are studied in the framework of numerical simulations: the incorrect excitation of the desired spatial pattern and the increase of the specific energy absorption rate (SAR), i.e. the RF power required to excite the desired pattern. Incorrect pattern excitation occurs only in pathologic coil-array scenarios. The increase of the SAR is very moderate for a large range of coil-array geometries. Using spiral excitation k-space trajectories leads to superior results compared to Cartesian trajectories. The problem of an ill-conditioned matrix inversion does not seem to play a major role in Transmit SENSE. Consequently, the freedom in designing coil arrays seems to be much larger in Transmit SENSE than in SENSE in the receive mode. 相似文献

In the present article the spatio-temporal distribution of sub-mesoscale eddies seen in Envisat Advanced Synthetic Aperture Radar (ASAR) imagery of the Baltic Sea is discussed. A total of 1250 ASAR images acquired between 2009 and 2011 form the basis of our studies and show imprints of almost 7000 sub-mesoscale eddies. Since the visibility of vortical structures in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imagery significantly depends on the near-surface wind speed, wind data from a numerical model of the Baltic Sea were additionally used to obtain improved eddy statistics. Seasonally averaged fields of near-surface wind speed, surface currents, sea surface temperature (SST), and SST gradient were also analysed in order to reveal the role of these hydrophysical parameters in the observed spatial and temporal variation of sub-mesoscale eddies. 相似文献

Multiple-input multiple-output synthetic aperture radar (MIMO SAR) has drawn wide attention for its increased degrees of freedom (DOFs) compared to the traditional multi-channel SAR (MC-SAR) system. The MIMO SAR system, which makes each antenna illuminate one subswath, can widen the range swath without decreasing PRF. One of the foremost tasks involved in the MIMO SAR system is the waveform design at the transmitter. Moreover, at the receiver, how to accurately separate the auto-correlation signal from the cross-correlation interferences is the other important issue. In this paper, an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) chirp signal designing method is firstly proposed, which is based on low cross-correlation interferences and good peak-to-sidelobe ratio (PSLR) rules. Using the designed OFDM chirp signals, the focused signal of MIMO SAR system matched the robust principal component analysis (RPCA) basic model. The moving target (sparse signal), clutter (low-rank signal) and noise (noise signal) can be separated directly. Hence, RPCA based method can be employed for ground moving target indication (GMTI) with no need for extracting the matched signal or suppressing the unmatched interferences. tert-Butyl 4- (and 5-) chloro-trans-2-methylcyclohexane-1-carboxylate (TML), a mixture of four majortrans and four minorcis isomers, is used as an attractant for detecting and monitoring the male Mediterranean fruit fly (medfly),Ceratitis capitata (Wiedemann). The eight isomers (racemic mixtures) were isolated by HPLC, and their relative attractiveness in the field was determined. A quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) was proposed that related a molecular measurement (Å3) of the TML structure to male medfly captures. More recently, thetrans-TML enantiomers were synthesized in sufficient quantities for field testing. This paper reports the computer-aided molecular modeling, via Chem-X, of thetrans-TML enantiomers and the staggered and superimposed fitting with the most attractive isomer, (1S,2S,4R)-TML-C, to determine common volumes and surface areas from Van der Waals (VdW) maps. Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) imaging system is generally realized by fixed-point with the purpose of reducing system implementation scale and enhancing real-time performance. Finite word length computing error of fixed-point SAR imaging system is studied. The characteristic of computing error in SAlt imaging system is analyzed. A finite word length computing error model of SAR imaging system is built, by means of which the empirical formula of system's output noise-to-signal ratio is derived. Based on the empirical formula, SAR imaging system processing word length is presented according to different processing granularities. The validity of this proposed finite word length computing error model of SAR imaging system is verified by system level fixed-point sivaulation. 相似文献
