would be favorable for increasing Rh dispersion and ratio of Rh+/Rh0 sites, therefore increasing the number of active sites, especially the active sites for CO insertion. Such variations are

The performance of signal-processing algorithms implemented in hardware depends on the efficiency of datapath, memory speed and address computation. Pattern of data access in signal-processing applications is complex and it is desirable to execute the innermost loop of a kernel in a single-clock cycle. This necessitates the generation of typically three addresses per clock: two addresses for data sample/coefficient and one for the storage of processed data. Most of the Reconfigurable Processors, designed for multimedia, focus on mapping the multimedia applications written in a high-level language directly on to the reconfigurable fabric, implying the use of same datapath resources for kernel processing and address generation. This results in inconsistent and non-optimal use of finite datapath resources. Presence of a set of dedicated, efficient Address Generator Units (AGUs) helps in better utilisation of the datapath elements by using them only for kernel operations; and will certainly enhance the performance. This article focuses on the design and application-specific integrated circuit implementation of address generators for complex addressing modes required by multimedia signal-processing kernels. A novel algorithm and hardware for AGU is developed for accessing data and coefficients in a bit-reversed order for fast Fourier transform kernel spanning over log?2N stages, AGUs for zig-zag-ordered data access for entropy coding after Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT), convolution kernels with stored/streaming data, accessing data for motion estimation using the block-matching technique and other conventional addressing modes. Psychological tests and spirometry were used in examination of 39 patients operated on for severe chronic nonspecific pulmonary diseases. It was found that external respiration function was impaired more in emotionally strained subjects. Herpes simplex virus-1 (HSV-1) glycoprotein E (gE) is a multifunctional protein capable of both binding the Fc portion of IgG and mediating cell-to-cell spread of HSV-1. Here we report that the domain on gE involved in IgG binding is distinct from the domain involved in mediating cell-to-cell spread. To do this we have used five mutants of the HSV-1 strain NS: NS-gE(null), a gE deletion virus; rNS-gE(null), a gE rescued virus; NS-gE339, a gE mutant virus with a four amino acid insert at position 339; rNS-gE339, a gE rescue of NS-gE339; and NS-gE406, a gE mutant virus with the same four amino acids inserted at position 406. Using IgG coated sheep red blood cells in rosetting assays, we show that the NS-gE339 does not bind IgG, yet retains the ability to mediate normal cell-to-cell spread. These results demonstrate that the gE domain involved in IgG binding differs from the domain involved in cell-to-cell spread. 相似文献
A clinicomorphological examination of the respiratory organs has been conducted in 25 adults and 30 children who died after abdominal surgery. The authors compared the findings of light and immunofluorescent microscopy with laboratory and clinical evidence. Acute respiratory infections revealed in the examinees appeared of different etiology, many of them proved to be mixed. Viral and Mycoplasma infections were most prevalent and severe. Bacterial pneumonias occurred rarely, were clinically inapparent, often arose preoperatively. Weak aspiration indicated the absence of a direct relation between respiratory infections and disorders of bronchial drainage due to surgery performed. 相似文献
The continuous development of individual competences is a fundamental instrument for organizations aiming to achieve long-term competitive advantage. Digital technologies can play a pivotal role in competence acquisition by facilitating the learning process. This paper describes the design, development, and evaluation process of a competence acquisition mobile app incorporating persuasive systems principles. A pilot study involving managers from an IT consulting firm was used to evaluate the artifact. This was followed by a full-scale deployment of the mobile app with management and staff of a supermarket chain. The results indicate that the use of the mobile app effectively improved users’ learning process outcomes, as well as their ability to deploy the new competence. Theoretical and practical contributions are discussed.
