All‐solid‐state metal batteries (ASSMBs) are attracting much attention due to their cost effectiveness, enhanced safety, room‐temperature performance and high theoretical specific capacity. However, the alkali metal anodes (such as Li and Na) are active enough to react with most solid‐state electrolytes (SSEs), leading to detrimental reactions at the metal–SSE interface. In this work, a molecular layer deposition (MLD) alucone film is employed to stabilize the active Na anode/electrolyte interface in the ASSMBs, limiting the decomposition of the sulfide‐based electrolytes (Na3SbS4 and Na3PS4) and Na dendrite growth. Such a strategy effectively improves the room‐temperature full battery performance as well as cycling stability for over 475 h in Na–Na symmetric cells. The modified interface is further characterized by X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) depth profiling, which provides spatially resolved evidence of the synergistic effect between the dendrite‐suppressed sodiated alucone and the insulating unsodiated alucone. The coupled layers reinforce the protection of the Na metal/electrolyte interface. Therefore, alucone is identified as an effective and bifunctional coating material for the enhancement of the metal/electrolyte interfacial stability, paving the way for rapid development and wide application of high‐energy ASSMBs.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to investigate bacterial load in ready‐to‐sale sheep meat with special reference to Salmonella. Samples were collected from 100 sheep carcasses from retail meat shops in domestic markets. On carcasses, where bacterial counts were obtained, the mean of the log10 aerobic plate count was 7.26 cfu g?1, and that of total coliform count and total Escherichia coli count was 4.11 log10 cfu g?1 and 3.03 log10 cfu g?1, respectively. All the samples (100) were found positive for coliforms, 49.0% were positive for E. coli and 3.0% were positive for Salmonella. The isolates were serotyped as Salmonella infantis having antigenic structure 6, 7: r: 1, 5. Antibiogram revealed highest (100.0%) sensitivity towards amikacin, ceftriaxone, ciprofloxacin, chloramphenicol, colistin sulphate, gentamicin and nalidixic acid followed by cefuroxime and tetracycline (66.67% each) and cotrimoxazole (33.33%). PURPOSE: The purpose was to study the prognostic value of contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT) nodal necrosis in nasopharyngeal carcinoma. PATIENTS AND METHODS: One hundred sixty-one patients with newly diagnosed nasopharyngeal carcinoma and nodal metastases were reviewed. Forty patients also received cisplatin-based neoadjuvant chemotherapy in addition to radiotherapy. Nodal necrosis was defined as presence of hypodense areas in more than 33% of the node. Nodal response rate to chemotherapy, overall nodal control rate, local control rate, distant failure rate, overall relapse-free survival rate, and overall and cause-specific survival rates were compared between patients with and without nodal necrosis. Multivariate analysis was also performed. RESULTS: The incidence of nodal necrosis was 22.9%. Overall nodal response rates to chemotherapy were 88.9% (8/9) in patients with nodal necrosis and 74.2% (23/31) in those without. No significant differences in nodal control rate, local control rate, distant failure rate, and overall and cause-specific survival rates were found. Five-year overall relapse-free survival rate was lower in patients with cervical nodal necrosis (36%) as compared with those without (53%, p = .04). Multivariate analysis, however, did not confirm cervical nodal necrosis to be an independent prognostic factor. CONCLUSIONS: Presence of nodal necrosis in nasopharyngeal carcinoma does not affect nodal response to chemotherapy and nodal control by radiotherapy with or without chemotherapy. Cervical nodal necrosis does not appear to be an independent factor in predicting treatment outcome. Further studies to correlate nodal density with oxygenation status as well as tumor cell kinetics are warranted.  相似文献

Numerous studies correlate the state of depression with some abnormalities in the immune response, such as increased numbers of white blood-cells, alterations in sub-populations of leucocytes, suppression of cytotoxic activity of natural-killer cells, increased levels of some autoantibodies and acute-phase proteins. Some of these changes have been attributed to autoimmunological reactions. While the possibilities to evaluate some reactions in depressed patients are limited, an animal model of depression could well simulate this clinical situation, and the chronic mild state of stress is a well accepted one. After undergoing stress for three-weeks, C57BL/6 mice demonstrate in the present study a decrease in thymus weight, as well as increased interleukin-1 and decreased interleukin-2 production. Splenocytes of the depressed mice exert a decrease in natural-killer-cell activity, in the proliferative response to Concanavalin-A, interleukin-1 and anti-CD3 monoclonal antibodies and an increase in the proliferative response to lipopolysaccharides and pokeweed mitogens. Our results also suggest that chronic stress-induced activation of suppressor cells in the spleen, due to elimination of CD8+ cells, increase the proliferation of splenocytes in response to mitogens of T cells.  相似文献

Creep–fatigue testing of Ni-based superalloy Inconel 617 and Haynes 230 were conducted in the air at 850 °C. Tests were performed with fully reversed axial strain control at a total strain range of 0.5%, 1.0% or 1.5% and hold time at maximum tensile strain for 3, 10 or 30 min. In addition, two creep–fatigue life prediction methods, i.e. linear damage summation and frequency-modified tensile hysteresis energy modeling, were evaluated and compared with experimental results. Under all creep–fatigue tests, Haynes 230 performed better than Inconel 617. Compared to the low cycle fatigue life, the cycles to failure for both materials decreased under creep–fatigue test conditions. Longer hold time at maximum tensile strain would cause a further reduction in both material creep–fatigue life. The linear damage summation could predict the creep–fatigue life of Inconel 617 for limited test conditions, but considerably underestimated the creep–fatigue life of Haynes 230. In contrast, frequency-modified tensile hysteresis energy modeling showed promising creep–fatigue life prediction results for both materials.  相似文献

The antagonistic effects between selenium (Se) and arsenic (As) suggest that low Se status plays an important role in arsenism development. The objective of present study was to assess Se contents in biological samples of As exposed females have skin lesions and cancer with related to non-exposed skin cancer patients. The biological samples (blood and scalp hair) of As exposed group comprises, female skin cancer (ESC) patients admitted in cancer hospitals have skin lesions (ESL) and exposed referents have not both diseases (ER), belongs to As exposed area of Pakistan. For comparative purposes, age matched female skin cancerous patient (RP) and non-cancerous females (NER) belong to non-exposed areas were also selected. The As and Se in acid digests of biological samples were pre-concentrated by complexing with chelating agent (ammonium pyrrolidinedithiocarbamate), and resulted complexes were extracted into non-ionic extractant (Triton X-114), prior to analysis by electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometry. The enhancement factor of about 25 was obtained by pre-concentrating 10 mL of sample solutions. The accuracy of the optimized procedure was evaluated by using certified reference material (BCR 397) with certified values for Se and As and standard addition method at three concentration levels in real samples. No significant differences was observed (p > 0.05) when comparing the values obtained by the proposed method, added and certified values of both elements. The biological samples of ESC patients had 2-3 folds higher As and lower Se levels as compared to RP (p < 0.001). Understudied exposed referents have high level of As and lower Se contents as compared to referents subjects of non-exposed area (p < 0.01). The higher concentration of As and lower levels of Se in biological samples of cancerous patients are consisted with reported studies.  相似文献

The experimental activities of tokamak research involve development of high power RF and microwave sources for fusion related heating and current drive applications. High power RF and microwave tubes like Klystron, Gyrotron and Tetrode are in general operated with high voltage DC power supplies. These HVDC power supplies of the order of 70 kVdc, must be equipped with necessary arc fault protection in addition to general over current and over voltage protection.The arc fault protection must act within few microseconds to prevent permanent damage to the RF tube, window, etc. When an arc fault is detected, output voltage of the DC power supply is short circuited using a crowbar device (generally Ignitron, Thyratron, thyristor, rail-gap, etc.) that operates in few microseconds. This diverts the fault current from the load to crowbar device, thereby protecting the load. This is necessary as conventional protection in the power supply input takes ~100 ms to switch-off. The crowbar device must be able to take the fault current till the circuit breaker placed at power supply input is switched off.The arc fault protection is tested for its effectiveness by “wire-burn” test. Full power short circuit of ~1.5 MW DC power supply puts enormous stress on the power supply, utility and the crowbar, therefore frequent wire-burn testing is to be avoided.This report presents simulation of wire-burn test using PSIM software. Optimization of the component values without conducting actual wire-burn test could be achieved.  相似文献

A study has been made of a concept of ‘healing’ coatings applied onto the brittle fibre surface to reduce the stress concentrations and thus to improve the reinforcing efficiency in a composite. Coatings made from neat epoxy and carbon nanotube (CNT) reinforced epoxy nanocomposite were applied onto the individual glass fibres as well as rovings. It is shown that the 0.3 wt.% CNT–epoxy nanocomposite coating gave rise to a significant increase in tensile strength of the single fibre for all gauge lengths, better than the neat epoxy coating. The results on glass fibre roving also indicated a clear beneficial effect of nanocomposite impregnation on tensile strength. The rovings impregnated with the CNT nanocomposite exhibited a more uniform strength distribution and higher strengths than those impregnated with the neat epoxy. The changes in prevailing failure mechanisms influenced by the epoxy and nanocomposite coatings have been identified.  相似文献
