Qualification of tungsten (W) and graphite (C) based brazed plasma facing components (PFCs) is an important R&D area in fusion research. Pre-qualification tests for brazed joints between W–CuCrZr and C–CuCrZr using NDT (IR thermography and ultrasonic test) and thermal fatigue test are attempted. Mockups having good quality brazed joints of W and C based PFCs were identified using NDT. Subsequently, thermal fatigue test was performed on the identified mockups. All brazed tiles of W based PFC mockups could withstand thermal fatigue test, however, few tiles of C based PFC mockup were found detached. Thermal analyses of mockups are performed using finite element analysis (ANSYS) software to simulate the thermal hydraulic condition with 10 MW/m2 uniform heat flux. Peptides containing proline residues, except at the N-terminus, exist in cis and trans forms due to the rigidity of the peptidyl-proline bond. Computer-simulated and experimental electropherograms have been used to study the interplay of the electrophoretic migration and the kinetics of the cis-trans interconversion. The measure of the interference by the reaction is the dimensionless Damk?hler number (Da) which is the ratio of the migrant's residence time to the characteristic time of reaction in the capillary. The fraction of the trans conformer that is not separable with 90% purity is employed to quantify the extent of overlap between the concentration profiles of the two interconverting migrants and the effect of the various operational variables was examined by simulation. The deterioration of separation, as measured by the degree of overlap, is a quasi sigmoidal function of Da with the selectivity and the intrinsic efficiency of the system as the parameters. At sufficiently low temperatures the interference by reaction kinetics may vanish and the two conformers are separated. At high enough temperatures, when the rate of interconversion is very fast, the two conformers are not separated at all. A simple and rapid method is proposed for estimation of kinetic parameters for the cis-trans isomerization on the basis of data obtained with phenylalanyl-proline dipeptide. The procedure involves determination of the equilibrium constant by measuring equilibrium concentrations of the two conformers using nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) or capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) at very low temperature, correlation of the peak shapes in the electropherograms with the Da, and finally, evaluation of the forward rate constants from the assigned Da values in the domain: 0.01 < Da < 0.5. Separations using CZE were performed in the temperature range of 1-40 degrees C by using the Beckman P/ACE unit equipped with an auxiliary cooling system. The kinetic data thus obtained showed good agreement (average error less than 5%) with those measured by NMR.  相似文献

This paper presents an analytical and numerical investigation of a circularly polarized beam propagating along the static magnetic field parallel to oscillating magnetic field in plasma at relativistic intensities. In the high intensity regime, such a magnetic field is created by the pulse itself. The authors have identified three regimes of propagation taking into account the relativistic mass correction. Based on WKB and paraxial ray theory, an appropriate expression for a dielectric tensor has been evaluated in the presence of an externally applied magnetic field. The natural electromagnetic modes are circularly polarized. Consequently, extraordinary and ordinary modes propagate, which are significantly affected due to the relativistic mechanism. The regimes are characterized by dimensionless power and beamwidth, characterizing the nature of propagation as steady divergence, oscillatory divergence and self-focusing. Numerical computations are presented and discussed for typical parameters of laser plasma interaction; defined through critical parameters, namely cyclotron-to-beam frequency (Ω c ), plasma-to-beam frequency (Ω p ) and beam power for arbitrary large intensities.  相似文献

A walk-in type hemi cylindrical solar tunnel dryer has been built with heat protective north wall at College of Dairy and Food Science Technology, Udaipur, India for drying agricultural & horticulture product on large scale. In this paper attempt has been made to evaluate the performance of developed dryer to dry the seedless grapes (mutant:Sonaka). The study show that chemically untreated grapes took seven days to dry at 16% (wb) moisture content. The temperature gradient inside the tunnel dryer is about 10–28 °C during the clear day, which is quite sufficient to dry agricultural commodities.  相似文献

In this paper, an interleaved soft-switched active-clamped L–L type current-fed half-bridge isolated dc–dc converter has been proposed. The L–L type active-clamped current-fed converter is able to maintain zero-voltage switching (ZVS) of all switches for the complete operating range of wide fuel cell stack voltage variation at full load down to light load conditions. Active-clamped circuit absorbs the turn-off voltage spike across the switches. Half-bridge topology maintains higher efficiency due to lower conduction losses. Soft-switching permits higher switching frequency operation, reducing the size, weight and cost of the magnetic components. Interleaving of the two isolated converters is done using parallel input series output approach and phase-shifted modulation is adopted. It reduces the input current ripple at the fuel cell input, which is required in a fuel cell system and also reduces the output voltage ripples. In addition, the size of the magnetic/passive components, current rating of the switches and voltage ratings of the rectifier diodes are reduced.  相似文献

Being a fuel of different origin, the standard design parameters of a diesel engine may not be suitable for Jatropha methyl ester (JME). This study targets at finding the effects of the engine design parameters viz. compression ratio (CR) and fuel injection pressure (IP) jointly on the performance with regard to fuel consumption (BSFC), brake thermal efficiency (BTHE) and emissions of CO, CO2, HC, NOx and Smoke opacity with JME as fuel. Comparison of performance and emission was done for different values of compression ratio along with injection pressure to find best possible combination for operating engine with JME. It is found that the combined increase of compression ratio and injection pressure increases the BTHE and reduces BSFC while having lower emissions. For small sized direct injection constant speed engines used for agricultural applications (3.5 kW), the optimum combination was found as CR of 18 with IP of 250 bar.  相似文献

In this globally competitive business environment, design engineers are constantly striving to establish new and effective tools and techniques to ensure a robust and reliable product design. Robust design (RD) and reliability‐based design approaches have shown the potential to deal with variability in the life cycle of a product. This paper explores the possibilities of combining both approaches into a single model and proposes a hybrid quality loss function‐based multi‐objective optimization model. The model is unique because it uses a hybrid form of quality loss‐based objective function that is defined in terms of desirable as well as undesirable deviations to obtain efficient design points with minimum quality loss. The proposed approach attempts to optimize the product design by addressing quality loss, variability, and life‐cycle issues simultaneously by combining both reliability‐based and RD approaches into a single model with various customer aspirations.
