The yield strength anomaly (YSA) and dynamic strain ageing (DSA) behaviour of advanced ultra-supercritical boiler grade wrought nickel-based superalloy IN 740H is studied by conducting tensile tests in temperature range 28–930°C and by employing strain rates 1 × 10?2, 1 × 10?3, 1 × 10?4 and 1 × 10?5 s?1 followed by extensive electron microscopic examination. Increase in yield strength accompanied by impairment of ductility indicates that YSA exists in alloy IN 740H in temperature range of 650–760°C. The electron microscopic observation confirms that YSA is due to pinning of dislocations by γ′ precipitates and shearing of γ′ precipitates in IN 740H. DSA is observed in the temperature range of 200–500°C and is predominant at 300°C. The nature of serrated plastic flow due to DSA is dependent on the temperature and strain rate.  相似文献

The superimposition of time-dependent damage on fatigue, otherwise, known as creep-fatigue interaction (CFI), significantly affect the fatigue life of power plant boiler components. IN740H is a candidate material for advanced ultra-supercritical (A-USC) boilers components. The creep-fatigue interaction of alloy IN740H was studied at 760°C, by conducting low cycle fatigue (LCF) at a strain amplitude (Δ?t/2) value of 0.4% and holding at peak strain in tension, compression and both for 0, 1, 5, 10 and 30?min duration. Though hold time adversely affects fatigue life, tensile hold is the most damaging of all three hold modes. The reason behind maximum damage with tensile hold is grain boundary cavitations and coalescence of cavities leading to internal cracks formation at grain boundaries.  相似文献

In this research work, the sintering characteristics of Al86Ni6Y4.5Co2La1.5 mechanically alloyed amorphous powders and milled melt spun ribbon have been compared. Mechanically alloyed amorphous powders were synthesized via 200?h high energy ball milling. Melt spun ribbons were synthesized by single roller melt spinning technique and grounded to powder form by ball milling. Mechanically induced partial crystallization occurred in the ribbons during milling. Significantly higher amount of contaminations such as carbon, oxygen and iron were observed in the mechanically alloyed amorphous powders compared to the milled ribbons. Both powders were consolidated via spark plasma sintering. Superior particle bonding was found in the sample consolidated from milled ribbons, ascribed to the lower amount of contamination that could not effectively restrict the viscous flow and diffusion of atoms. Various complex crystalline phases evolved in the sample consolidated from milled ribbon particles due to the presence of crystalline phases in the powders which acted as nucleation sites, whereas the amorphous phase was mostly retained in its counterpart. Vickers microhardness of the consolidated alloys from milled ribbon and mechanically alloyed amorphous powders were 3.60?±?0.13?GPa and 2.53?±?0.09?GPa, respectively. The higher hardness in the former case was attributed to the superior particle bonding and distribution of hard intermetallic phases in the amorphous matrix.  相似文献

The naturally available cyclodextrin has opened up a wide range of research avenues because of its superior characteristics such as being non-toxic, biocompatible, and edible. The cyclodextrin is the green multifunctional material that can add to the triboelectric series and extend its self-powered applications. The ultrasonic synthesized cyclodextrin metal–organic framework (CD-MOF) designed using sodium as a metal ion and cyclodextrin as a ligand for the triboelectric nanogenerator is reported. The various detailed characterizations of the CD-MOFs give an insight into the properties of the synthesized material. The Kelvin probe force microscopy suggests three types of CD-MOFs, exhibiting a positive potential. As per the surface potential, the output of the various CD-MOF based TENG is varied as alpha CD MOF/Teflon > gamma CD-MOF/Teflon > beta CD-MOF/Teflon. The alpha CD MOF/Teflon TENG produces an electrical output of 152 V, 1.2 μA, and 14.3 nC, respectively. The fabricated device output is utilized for powering numerous low-power electronics through a capacitor and bridge rectifier circuit. The multiunit Z-shaped TENG device is attached to various surfaces such as the shoe heel and the backside of the school bag, and the corresponding energy harvesting response is demonstrated.  相似文献

The remarkable development and continual proliferation of research in the nanotechnology field have led to improvement in the efficiency of elementary devices. To improve their performance, the parameters of such devices can be scaled down while optimizing their characteristics. However, this simultaneously results in degraded switching characteristics and the appearance of short-channel effects. Multigate-based fin-shaped field-effect transistors (FinFETs) represent a new option to address all these problems. However, thermal failure of FinFET devices under nominal operating conditions is an important issue in the design and implementation of high-speed semiconductor devices. It is also seen that bulk FinFETs exhibit better thermal performance compared with silicon-on-insulator FinFETs. In the work presented herein, various FinFET characteristics including the subthreshold swing, drain-induced barrier lowering, threshold voltage, and drain current were investigated as functions of temperature. The (effective) channel length is larger than the physical gate length (in off-state) due to the undoped underlap regions. This paper also discusses the effects of drain, source, and gate overlap.  相似文献

Spectrum sensing is the most critical task in cognitive radio (CR) which needs to be performed very precisely in order to efficiently utilize the underutilized spectrum and to provide sufficient protection to the primary users (PUs). To improve the sensing performance under fading, shadowing and hidden terminal problems more than one CR users collaboratively perform the spectrum sensing called as cooperative spectrum sensing (CSS). In conventional CSS the decision of each CR is fused at fusion center with equal weights. But due to variable distance of each CR from the PU all decisions are not equally reliable and therefore should be assigned different weights according to their reliability. In this paper we propose a new weighting scheme for CSS under Rayleigh faded channel. In proposed weighting scheme, based on the distance of each CR from the PU reliability of CR nodes is determined and correspondingly appropriate weights are assigned to different users. The CSS algorithm using new weighting scheme gives better performance than conventional CSS algorithm.  相似文献
