Single crystals of L-alanine cadmium iodide (LACI) were grown by the slow evaporation technique at room temperature. A single-crystal X-ray diffraction (SXRD) model was used to evaluate the crystal structure of the as-grown LACI crystal. The energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis and ultraviolet-visible-near infrared (UV-vis-NIR) transmittance studies were carried out, and the results reveal the presence of elements in the title compound. From the transmittance data, the optical bandgap as a function of photon energy was estimated, and the different optical constants were calculated. A fluorescence study was performed for the LACI crystal. Thermogravimetric and differential thermal analyses have also been studied to investigate the thermal property of the LACI crystal. The efficiency of the second harmonic generation (SHG) of the title crystal was investigated. The magnetic and electrical properties were estimated by the vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) analysis and impedance study, respectively.  相似文献

The long-term seepage of hydrocarbons, either as macroseepage or microseepage, can set up near-surface oxidation reduction zones that favor the development of a diverse array of chemical and mineralogical changes. The bacterial oxidation of light hydrocarbons can directly or indirectly bring about significant changes in the values of pH and Eh of the surrounding environment, thereby also changing the stability fields of the different mineral species present in that environment. The paper reports the role of hydrocarbon microseepage in surface alterations of trace metal concentrations. In this study trace metal alterations were mapped that appear to be associated with hydrocarbon microseepages in the oil/ gas fields. A total of 50 soil samples were collected near oil and gas fields of the Tatipaka and Pasarlapudi areas of the Krishna Godavari Basin, Andhra Pradesh. The soil samples were collected from a depth of 2-2.5 m. The paper reports the chemical alterations associated with trace metals in soils that are related to hydrocarbon microseepages above some of the major oil and gas fields of this petroliferous region. Trace metals, such as scandium (Sc), vanadium (V), chromium (Cr), cobalt (Co), nickel (Ni), copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), barium (Ba) and strontium (Sr), in soil samples were analyzed using inductively coupled plasmamass spectrometry (ICP-MS). The concentrations of Sc (8 to 40 mg/kg), V (197 to 489 mg/kg), Cr (106 to 287 mg/kg), Co (31 to 52 mg/kg), Ni (65 to 110 mg/kg), Cu (88 to 131 mg/kg), Zn (88 to 471 mg/kg), Ba (263 to 3,091 mg/kg) and Sr (119 to 218 mg/kg) were obtained. It was observed that the concentrations of trace elements were tremendously increased when they were compared with their normal concentrations in soils. The analysis of adsorbed soil gas showed the presence of high concentrations of ΣC 2+ (C 2 H 6 , C 3 H 8 and n-C 4 H 10 ) ranging from 7 to 222 μg/kg respectively. Integrated studies of trace elements over adsorbed light gaseous hydrocarbons (ΣC 2+ ) anomalies showed good correlation with the existing oil and gas wells. The carbon isotopic composition of δ 13 C 1 of the samples ranges between -36.6‰ to -22.7‰ (Pee Dee Belemnite) values indicate thermogenic origin, which presents convincing evidence that the adsorbed soil gases collected from these sediments are of catagenetic origin. The increase in the concentrations of trace metals near oil/gas producing areas, suggests a soil chemical change to a reducing environment, presumably due to the influence of hydrocarbon microseepage, which could be applied with other geoscientific data to identify areas of future hydrocarbon exploration in frontier areas.  相似文献

Abstract  

Nanosized CexM1−xO2−δ (M = Zr, Hf, Tb and Pr) solid solutions were prepared by a modified coprecipitation method and thermally treated at different temperatures from 773 to 1073 K in order to ascertain the thermal behavior. The structural and textural properties of the synthesized samples were investigated by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), BET surface area, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and Raman spectroscopy (RS) techniques. The catalytic efficiency has been performed towards oxygen storage/release capacity (OSC) and CO oxidation activity. The characterization results indicated that the obtained solid solutions exhibit defective cubic fluorite structure. The solid solutions of ceria–hafnia, ceria–terbia and ceria–praseodymium exhibited good thermal stability up to 1073 K. A new Ce0.6Zr0.4O2 phase along with Ce0.75Zr0.25O2 was observed in the case of ceria–zirconia solid solution due to more Zr4+ incorporation in the ceria lattice at higher calcination temperatures. The reducibility of ceria has been increased upon doping with Zr4+, Hf4+, Tb3+/4+ and Pr3+/4+ cations. This enhancement is more in case of Hf4+ doped ceria. Among various solid solutions investigated, the ceria–hafnia combination exhibited better OSC and CO oxidation activity. The high efficiency of Ce–Hf solid solution was correlated with its superior bulk oxygen mobility and other physicochemical characteristics.  相似文献

Europium doped calcium orthosilicate (Ca2SiO4) phosphors have been synthesized by the conventional high temperature solid-state reaction method in various concentrations from agricultural waste (egg shell as a CaO and rice husk as a SiO2). These phosphors structure from X-ray diffraction and morphology from scanning electron microscopy have been examined. Concentration dependent Eu3+ ions luminescent properties in Ca2SiO4 phosphors have been studied from the excitation, emission and decay curves analysis. The 5D07FJ transitions observed in luminescence spectrum allows to determine the site symmetry of the Eu3+ ion. A charge transfer band (CTB) at around 260?nm which is due to the Eu–O interaction in the host along with the 4f – 4f excitation bands due to Eu3+ ions in UV and blue regions are observed. The color co-ordinates determined from emission spectra varies with concentrations of Eu3+ ions and are found to fall in the red region. The decay curves show single exponential behavior for all concentrations of Eu3+ ions (0.01–0.4?mol%) and the lifetimes varied from 2.67 to 2.78?ms. It is worth noting that the present material is found to be far better than many red phosphors synthesized by using agricultural waste as raw materials.  相似文献

The use of a novel motorized lens to perform segmentation of image sequences is presented in this paper. The lens has the effect of introducing small, repeating movements of the camera center so that objects appear to translate in the image by an amount that depends on the distance from the plane of focus. For a stationary scene, optical flow magnitudes are therefore directly related to three-dimensional object distance from the observer. We describe a segmentation procedure that exploits these controlled observer movements and present experimental results that demonstrate the successful extraction of objects at different depths. In the present study, amino‐functionalised mesoporous silica microspheres were utilised as support for the covalent immobilisation of Candida antarctica lipase B (CaLB) for the subsequent production of 2,5‐furandicarboxylic acid (FDCA) from 2,5‐diformylfuran (DFF). Under the optimised operating conditions of pH 6.5, particle/enzyme ratio of 1.25:1.0 and glutaraldehyde concentration of 4 mM, a maximum CaLB immobilisation yield of 82.4% on silica microspheres was obtained in 12.25 h. The immobilised CaLB was used for the synthesis of alkyl esters, which were utilised along with hydrogen peroxide for FDCA synthesis. The biocatalytic conversion of 30 mM DFF dictated a 77–79% FDCA in 48 h at 30°C; where the turnover number and turnover frequency of immobilised CaLB were 6220.73 mol mol−1 and 129.59 h−1, respectively, for ethyl acetate, against 6297.65 mol mol−1 and 131.2 h−1, respectively, for ethyl butyrate. The objective of the present work is to analyze the combustion characteristics of crude rice bran oil methyl ester (CRBME) blend (20% of CRBME with 80% no.2 diesel on volume basis) as a fuel in a stationary small duty direct injection (DI) compression ignition (CI) engine. When operating with CRBME blend the cylinder pressure was comparable to that of diesel. It was observed that the delay period and the maximum rate of pressure rise for CRBME blend were lower than those of diesel. The occurrence of maximum heat release rate advanced for CRBME blend with lesser magnitude when compared to diesel. CRBME blend requires more crank angle duration to release 50% & 90% of heat when compared with diesel. The brake specific fuel consumption of CRBME blend was found to be only marginally different from that of the diesel and its hourly fuel cost was higher than that of diesel. CRBME blend has lower smoke intensity and higher NOx emission than those of diesel. Since the measured parameters for CRBME blend differs only by a smaller magnitude, when compared with diesel, this investigation ensures the suitability of CRBME blend as fuel for CI engines with higher fuel cost.  相似文献

In an open waterway flow passage, the inclusion of flow distributor paves a way to understand the idea of flow uniformity of the water along the upstream side and prevents non-uniform flow of water besides the passage length as a function of flow rate. The interesting idea in the flow distributor is its length and porosity. The essential conditions that should be satisfied are: there should not be any turbulence and there should be a possibility of achieving uniform circumferential flow in the flow passage. The other critical issue is the accurate measurement of low velocity of water. In this paper, a propeller-turbine-type anemometer is specially designed, fabricated and calibrated to measure the local velocity of water in the range of 0.001–0.01 m/s. This paper signifies how the flow uniformity is achieved by varying the size and porosity of the flow distributor.  相似文献
