The introduction of probabilistic behaviour into the B-Method is a recent development. In addition to allowing probabilistic behaviour to be modelled, the relationship between expected values of the machine state can be expressed and verified. This paper explores the application of probabilistic B to a simple case study: tracking the volume of liquid held in a tank by measuring the flow of liquid into it. The flow can change as time progresses, and sensors are used to measure the flow with some degree of accuracy and reliability, modelled as non-deterministic and probabilistic behaviour respectively. At the specification level, the analysis is concerned with the expectation clause in the probabilistic B machine and its consistency with machine operations. At the refinement level, refinement and equivalence laws on probabilistic GSL are used to establish that a particular design of sensors delivers the required level of reliability.  相似文献

The sensing performance of chemical sensors can be achieved not only by modification or hybridization of sensing materials but also through new design in device geometry. The performance of a chemical sensing device can be enhenced from a simple three‐dimensional (3D) chemiresistor‐based gas sensor platform with an increased surface area by forming networked, self‐assembled reduced graphene oxide (R‐GO) nanosheets on 3D SU8 micro‐pillar arrays. The 3D R‐GO sensor is highly responsive to low concentration of ammonia (NH3) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2) diluted in dry air at room temperature. Compared to the two‐dimensional planar R‐GO sensor structure, as the result of the increase in sensing area and interaction cross‐section of R‐GO on the same device area, the 3D R‐GO gas sensors show improved sensing performance with faster response (about 2%/s exposure), higher sensitivity, and even a possibly lower limit of detection towards NH3 at room temperature.  相似文献

This paper presents closed-form solution for buckling analysis of orthotropic plates using two variable refined plate theory. The theory accounts for a quadratic variation of the transverse shear strains across the thickness, and satisfies the zero traction boundary conditions on the top and bottom surfaces of the plate without using shear correction factors. Governing equations are derived from the principle of minimum total potential energy. The closed-form solutions of rectangular plates with two opposite edges simply supported and the other two edges having arbitrary boundary conditions are obtained by applying the state space approach to the Levy-type solution. Comparison studies are performed to verify the validity of the present results. The effects of boundary condition, loading condition, and variations of modulus ratio, aspect ratio, and thickness ratio on the critical buckling load of orthotropic plates are investigated and discussed in detail.  相似文献

Data hiding is designed to solve the problem of secure information exchange through public networks such as Internet. In this paper, we present an improved reversible data hiding scheme that can recover original VQ indices after data extraction. As with Chang et al.’s scheme, our proposed scheme also depends on the locally adaptive coding scheme. However, experimental results confirm that the hiding capacity of our proposed scheme is around 1.36 bpi in most digital images, which is typically higher than that of Chang et al.’s [17]. Moreover, the average compression rate that can be achieved with our proposed scheme is 0.49 bpp, which outperforms both Lin and Chang’s scheme (0.50 bpp), Tsai (0.50 bpp), Chang et al.’s scheme (0.53 bpp), and Yang and Lin’s scheme (0.53 bpp).  相似文献

The developing mouse tongue provides a model for discrete patterns of morphogenesis during short periods of embryonic development. Occipital somite-derived myogenic cells interact with cranial neural crest-derived ecto-mesenchymal cells to form the musculature of the tongue. The biochemical signals that control close range autocrine and/or paracrine signaling processes required to establish the fast-twitch complex tongue musculature are not known. The present study was designed to test the hypothesis that desmin, epidermal growth factor (EGF), and transforming growth factor-alpha (TGF alpha) and their cognate receptor, epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFr), are co-expressed during tongue myogenesis and define specific developmental stages of tongue muscle cell differentiation. To test this hypothesis, we performed studies to analyze the timing, position, and concentration of desmin, TGF alpha, EGF, and EGFr from embryonic day 9 (E9) through birth in Swiss Webster mouse tongue development. Desmin, TGF alpha, EGF, and EGFr co-localized to cells of myogenic lineage in the four occipital somites and subsequently in myoblasts and myotubes from E9 through E17. By newborn stage, desmin is localized to discrete regions in myofibers corresponding to Z-line delimiting sarcomeres, and A-band within sarcomeres; immunostaining for desmin, TGF alpha, and EGF persisted in differentiated myotubes and striated skeletal muscle. Desmin increased from 0.01% at E11 to 0.51% of the total protein by E17 and at birth. Concomitantly, the patterns and increases in TGF alpha, EGF, and EGFr showed significant increases during the same developmental period. The temporal and positional co-localization of TGF alpha, EGF, and EGFr support the hypothesis that autocrine and paracrine regulation of desmin by actions of growth factor ligand and receptor defines critical stages of tongue myogenesis.  相似文献

Flash X-ray and high-speed regular photography were used to investigate the fragmentation processes during the vapor explosion of single drops of molten metal immersed in water. For relatively low ambient flow velocities (< 5 m/s), a comparison of the breakup of hot and cold drops shows that whereas cold drops breakup due to the stripping of fragments by the relative flow, the fragmentation of a hot drop is dominated by the growth and collapse of a vapor bubble. X-ray radiographs show during the growth of the bubble, that fine filaments of metal protrude from the drop and the drop surface becomes highly convoluted. Using a simple model for the bubble dynamics, an estimate of the energy budget shows that the majority (about 80%) of the thermal energy transfer occurs during bubble collapse. For hot drops at higher flow velocities (> 45 m/s), vapor bubble growth is diminished and high-speed motion of vapor within the bubble leads to an enhanced fragmentation rate.  相似文献
