In this paper the optimal shapes and fiber architectures of non-geodesics-based domes for pressure vessels are determined upon the condition of equal shell strains. Based on the continuum theory and the non-geodesic law, the system of differential equations governing the optimal meridian profiles is derived. A specific function is chosen to describe the slippage coefficient distribution for the desired non-geodesic path, in order to ensure C1 continuity of the roving paths when passing the dome–cylinder conjunction. Next, the meridian profiles are determined for various material anisotropies; the related winding angle developments of non-geodesic trajectories are also presented. The performance factors of non-geodesics-based optimal domes are obtained using various slippage coefficients and polar opening radii. The results show that the structural efficiency of the dome improves with increasing slippage coefficient. It is concluded that the non-geodesics-based dome designed using the present method gains better performance than the one relying on geodesics.  相似文献

The electro‐activity and mechanical properties of PVDF depends mainly on the β‐phase content and degree of crystallinity. In this study, cellulose fibers were used to improve these characteristics. This could be achieved because the hydroxyl groups on cellulose would force the fluorine atoms in PVDF to be in the trans‐conformation, and the cellulose particles could act as nucleation centers. Electrospinning was used to prepare the PVDF/cellulose (nano)fibrous films, and this improved the total crystallinity and the formation of β‐crystals. However, the presence and amount of cellulose in PVDF were found to have little influence on the β‐phase content and on the total crystallinity of PVDF. Improvements in the extent of crystallinity and the β‐phase content were primarily brought about by the chain‐ and crystal orientation as a result of electrospinning. The thermal stability of PVDF in the composites slightly increased with increasing cellulose content in the composites up to 1.0 wt %, while the modulus and tensile strength significantly increased up to the same filler level. The dielectric storage permittivity also increased with increasing cellulose content, but the presence of cellulose had no influence on the dynamics of the γ‐ and β‐relaxations of the PVDF. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The effect of a β‐nucleating agent (β‐NA) on the properties and structure of a commercial impact polypropylene copolymer (IPC) was investigated. The effect of selected β‐NAs on the impact resistance, stress and strain behaviour of the IPC is reported. In addition, the IPC was fractionated according to crystallinity by preparative temperature rising elution fractionation. Fractions with varying chemical composition and crystallinity were treated with a two‐component β‐NA to investigate the effect of the β‐NA on the various fractions. The results indicate that the efficacy of the β‐NA is dependent on the chemical composition of the polymer that crystallises, more specifically on the sequence length of crystallisable propylene units. The effect of the addition of β‐NAs on the overall morphology of the IPC was also investigated, and in particular the size and distribution of the rubbery particles in these complex reactor blends were probed. © 2014 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

We consider a multi-agent planning problem as a set of activities that has to be planned by several autonomous agents. In general, due to the possible dependencies between the agents’ activities or interactions during execution of those activities, allowing agents to plan individually may lead to a very inefficient or even infeasible solution to the multi-agent planning problem. This is exactly where plan coordination methods come into play. In this paper, we aim at the development of coordination by design techniques that (i) let each agent construct its plan completely independent of the others while (ii) guaranteeing that the joint combination of their plans always is coordinated. The contribution of this paper is twofold. Firstly, instead of focusing only on the feasibility of the resulting plans, we will investigate the additional costs incurred by the coordination by design method, that means, we propose to take into account the price of autonomy: the ratio of the costs of a solution obtained by coordinating selfish agents versus the costs of an optimal solution. Secondly, we will point out that in general there exist at least two ways to achieve coordination by design: one called concurrent decomposition and the other sequential decomposition. We will briefly discuss the applicability of these two methods, and then illustrate them with two specific coordination problems: coordinating tasks and coordinating resource usage. We also investigate some aspects of the price of autonomy of these two coordination methods.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

High dimensional remote sensing data sets typically contain redundancy amongst the features. Traditional approaches to feature selection are prone to instability and selection of sub-optimal features in these circumstances. They can also be computationally expensive, especially when dealing with very large remote sensing data sets. This article presents an efficient, deterministic feature ranking method that is robust to redundancy. Affinity propagation is used to group correlated features into clusters. A relevance criterion is evaluated for each feature. Clusters are then ranked based on the median of the relevance values of their constituent features. The most relevant individual features can then be selected automatically from the best clusters. Other criteria, such as computation time or measurement cost, can optionally be considered interactively when making this selection. The proposed feature selection method is compared to competing filter approach methods on a number of remote sensing data sets containing feature redundancy. Mutual information and naive Bayes relevance criteria were evaluated in conjunction with the feature selection methods. Using the proposed method it was shown that the stability of selected features improved under different data samplings, while similar or better classification accuracies were achieved compared to competing methods.  相似文献

Hydrogel-like polymers with reactive cyclic carbonate (CCA) groups have been obtained by the cross-linking reaction of poly(vinylene carbonate) (PVCA) with Jeffamines®. By this reaction, microspheric hydrogel beads with a high water content and a high concentration of reactive CCA groups were prepared. The beads were used as a matrix for the immobilization of the enzyme alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and showed a considerable capacity to couple ALP and a reasonable retention of activity for the immobilized ALP, depending on the reaction conditions. The immobilized ALP exhibited a better thermal stability than did native ALP and a high residual activity was found after repeated use. © 1993 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

Based on our previous results on the potent antagonist effect of 1H,3H-pyrido[2,1-f]purine-2,4-diones at the human A(3) adenosine receptor, new series of this family of compounds have been synthesized and evaluated in radioligand binding studies against the human A(1), A(2A), A(2B), and A(3) receptors. A remarkable improvement in potency, and most noticeable, in selectivity has been achieved, as exemplified by the 3-cyclopropylmethyl-8-methoxy-1-(4-methylbenzyl)-1H,3H-pyrido[2,1-f]purine-2,4-dione (10) that combines a very high affinity at hA(3) (K(i)=2.24 nM), with lack of affinity for the A(1), A(2A), and A(2B) receptors. On the basis of the published hA(3) receptor model (PDB 1OEA), molecular modeling studies, including molecular dynamics (MD) simulations, have been performed to depict the binding mode of the 1 H,3H-pyrido[2,1-f]purine-2,4-diones and to justify the selectivity against the other adenosine receptors. These studies have led to novel features of the cavity where our antagonists are bound so that the cavity is lined by the hydrogen-bonded Gln 167-Asn 250 pair and by the highly conserved Phe 168.  相似文献

The bending behaviour of inflated beams has been studied for several decades. Several models have been developed to predict the load deflection behaviour of the beams. The various models treat the problem differently, particularly in the way the wrinkling moment and collapse moment are defined. This paper relates the wrinkling threshold to a stress criterion rather than a strain criterion. An important issue with respect to the collapse load is whether to regard the material as a true membrane or as a very thin shell. It will be shown that the three thin films used in this research PC, PPS, and PEI should be regarded as thin shells. A new model that predicts the collapse moment for these kind of materials has been developed, which incorporates orthotropic material properties. These material properties were obtained via biaxial testing by means of axial loading of a pressurised tube. Experiments were conducted to obtain the load deflection curves at five different pressure levels. The results were shown to correlate reasonably well, with the proposed theory.  相似文献

The current article deals with the development of different novel, tailor-made polyolefin formulations exhibiting both low flammability and high weathering resistance, so as to provide value-added polyethylene grades with extended service lifetime. Two low-density (LDPE) and one linear low-density (LLDPE) polyethylene grades were modified via melt compounding with an additive system comprising: (a) a nitrogen-phosphorous intumescent system for flame retardance and (b) a hindered amine light stabilizer and a benzophenone-type UV absorber for UV/heat stabilization, at a total loading of 30–35 wt%. The target was to reach V0 classification in UL94V flammability tests, while to a large extent maintaining the mechanical properties, such as, tensile and impact strength of the investigated polymers, thus ensuring that the additives do not interfere significantly with the material quality. Subsequently, the compounds were subjected to separate artificial UV and heat aging at 100°C for 1500 h; the formulations showed good flame retardance, even after prolonged artificial weathering, but there was an observable, although acceptable, decrease in the mechanical properties. Nevertheless, all the results show that the developed polyethylene compounds are very promising for outdoor applications, such as, irrigation piping and profiles, where long-term weathering stability is important, and where flame retardance is important for safety during storage.  相似文献
