An aqueous sodium dodecanoate solution has been used for the formation of a protective coating for lead. Three deposition methods have been compared: immobilization using cyclic voltammetry, immersion and amperometry. Apart from this, we tested a reduction pretreatment of the lead surface (−1.5 V during 600 s) in order to obtain a more reproducible coating, resulting in a better corrosion protection behavior. Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) represent an unmet clinical need whose prognosis is still dismal. Alterations of immune response play a prominent role in AML/MDS pathogenesis, revealing novel options for immunotherapy. Among immune system regulators, CD47, immune checkpoints, and toll-like receptor 2 (TLR2) are major targets. Magrolimab antagonizes CD47, which is overexpressed by AML and MDS cells, thus inducing macrophage phagocytosis with clinical activity in AML/MDS. Sabatolimab, an inhibitor of T-cell immunoglobulin and mucin domain-containing protein 3 (TIM3), which disrupts its binding to galectin-9, has shown promising results in AML/MDS, enhancing the effector functions of lymphocytes and triggering tumor cell death. Several other surface molecules, namely CD33, CD123, CD45, and CD70, can be targeted with monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) that exert different mechanisms of action and include naked and conjugated antibodies, bispecific T-cell engagers, trispecific killer engagers, and fusion proteins linked to toxins. These novel mAbs are currently under investigation for use as monotherapy or in combination with hypomethylating agents, BCL2 inhibitors, and chemotherapy in various clinical trials at different phases of development. Here, we review the main molecular targets and modes of action of novel mAb-based immunotherapies, which can represent the future of AML and higher risk MDS treatment. 相似文献

Different electrochemical methods such as open-circuit potential measurements, polarization techniques and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) were used to investigate the electrochemical behavior of brass alloys with various Zn contents (5.5–38.0 mass%) and Cu–38.0Zn–Pb alloy with different Pb contents (1.0–3.4 mass%) in neutral sodium sulfate solutions. The influence of working conditions, e.g., immersion time, sulfate ions concentration and temperature on the electrochemical behavior of the different alloys was also studied. It was found that the initial corrosion rate is relatively high for alloys with the higher zinc content due to dezincification. The dezincification process initiates by selective dissolution of zinc and continues by a simultaneous dissolution of copper and zinc followed by re-deposition of copper. An increase in the lead content and immersion time in the sodium sulfate solution increases the corrosion resistance of the alloy and improves its stability. The stability of the leaded brass was considered to be due to the formation of an insoluble film of lead sulfate on its surface. The impedance data were fitted to theoretical data obtained according to an equivalent circuit model describing the electrode/electrolyte interface. The mechanism of the alloy dissolution was discussed in view of the obtained results. 相似文献

A novel, label-free folding induced aptamer-based electrochemical biosensor for the detection of chloramphenicol (CAP) in the presence of its analogues has been developed. CAP is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that has lost its favor due to its serious adverse toxic effects on human health. Aptamers are artificial nucleic acid ligands (ssDNA or RNA) able to specifically recognize a target such as CAP. In this article, the aptamers are fixed onto a gold electrode surface by a self-assembly approach. In the presence of CAP, the unfolded ssDNA on the electrode surface changes to a hairpin structure, bringing the target molecules close to the surface and triggering electron transfer. Detection limits were determined to be 1.6 × 10(-9) mol L(-1). In addition, thiamphenicol (TAP) and florfenicol (FF), antibiotics with a structure similar to CAP, did not influence the performance of the aptasensor, suggesting a good selectivity of the CAP-aptasensor. Its simplicity and low detection limit (because of the home-selected aptamers) suggest that the electrochemical aptasensor is suitable for practical use in the detection of CAP in milk samples. 相似文献

This work investigates the evolution of effective phase transformation thresholds in superelastic shape memory alloy (SMA) lattice architectures subjected to cyclic loading. The investigation is carried out by means of finite element analysis and numerical homogenization methods, considering Schwarz primitive triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) SMA unit cells subjected to periodic boundary conditions. The results are reported for relative densities between 10% and 50%. It is shown that, in all the cases considered, the loading surfaces governing both forward and reverse phase transformations have an ellipsoidal shape that can be reasonably well represented using an extended Hill's criterion that accounts for the influence of hydrostatic pressure. Moreover, by considering polynomial expressions of the coefficients of Hill's criterion in terms of martensite volume fraction and cumulated fraction, the evolution of the loading surfaces as a consequence of functional fatigue is reasonably well approximated. The results suggest that an extended Hill's criterion with variable coefficients can well be used to simulate effective phase transformation and functional fatigue in architected TPMS SMAs. 相似文献
