The present study was undertaken to evaluate the role and possible interaction of the endogenous opioid peptide (EOP) and corticotropin-releasing factor (CRF) in the acute stress-induced suppression of gonadotropin secretion in ovariectomized estrogen-primed rats. An intravenous (i.v.) injection of naloxone (10 or 20 mg/kg), an EOP antagonist, significantly elevated serum luteinizing hormone (LH) levels within 10 min in non-stressed animals. The naloxone-induced LH release was completely eliminated when tested 30 min after the onset of acute immobilization. In a subsequent study, it was found that suppression of the naloxone-induced LH release occurred as early as 5 min after the stress onset, and was still evident 60 min after the end of a 30-min period of immobilization. The effect of naloxone was restored 3 h after liberation of the animal from the 30-min immobilization. An intraventricular (i.c.v.) injection of CRF (1 or 5 micrograms) also significantly suppressed, in a dose-related manner, the effect of a subsequent i.v. injection of naloxone. However, an i.c.v. injection of alpha-helical CRF(9-41) (25 or 50 micrograms), a CRF antagonist, prior to immobilization, could not interfere with the suppressive effect of stress on naloxone-induced LH release. These results suggest that both acute immobilization stress and CRF can inhibit the LH secretory activity without mediation by EOP neurons. However, the stress-related suppression may involve non-CRF mechanism(s).  相似文献

An 8-b slice GaAs bus logic LSI (BL) has been developed for a high-speed interconnection network in a multiple-instruction multiple-data stream (MIMD) parallel processing system. The BL has been designed using a novel standard-cell approach called the building-cell methodology, which leads to a high integrated density of 25000 devices in a 7×7-mm2 chip. The BL consists of 3376 logic gates and a 76-b dual-port register file (RF), which has as a new function a multi-address read/write operation for efficient data transfer. The BL was fabricated by a 0.8-μm WNx gate LDD (lightly doped drain) MESFET process, and fully functionally tested with an average yield of 20%. A 10-ns cycle time operation was achieved with a power dissipation of 5.5 W. This result reveals that a network with 256 GaAs BLs and 64 processor units can realize a maximum data transfer rate of 2.56 Gbyte/s  相似文献

A 28-year-old man with a Wilms tumor extending into his right atrium was successfully treated using cardiopulmonary bypass. Histologic examination revealed clear cell sarcoma with invasion of the inferior vena cava. The method as well as an appropriate instrumentation for measuring phase changes of reflected light is described. The phase changes on samples of Au, Al, Ag, and Cr evaporated films are measured for five wavelengths (lambda) from 442 to 633 nm, with respect to the phase change at the glass-air interface, where it should be zero. The measured results for the Au film are in fairly good agreement with values calculated by use of optical constants from a handbook or the complex refractive index measured by an ellipsometer. The phase changes for Al and Ag films are different from calculated values by ~5 degrees or a shift length of 4.4 nm at lambda = 633 nm, while those of the Cr film show large shifts as high as 16 degrees or a shift length of 9.8 nm at lambda = 442 nm.  相似文献

A closed-cycle Joule–Thomson cryocooler for resistance thermometer calibration has been developed. It consists of a Gifford–McMahon mechanical refrigerator and a closed-cycle 3He Joule–Thomson expansion circuit that utilizes the isenthalpic expansion of 3He for cooling. The developed cryocooler can reach temperatures as low as 0.6K and can operate for months with a simple procedure. The typical cooling power of the cryocooler is 1mW at 0.65K with a molar flow rate of 160μmol ·s−1 through the 3He Joule–Thomson circuit. The possible mechanical vibration level experienced by the resistance thermometers was measured with a laser vibrometer. It was confirmed that the maximum acceleration level is 0.1m· s−2 and will not cause a problem for thermometer calibration.  相似文献
