Stereoscopic imaging is becoming very popular and its deployment by means of photography, television, cinema. . .is rapidly increasing. Obviously, the access to this type of images imposes the use of compression and transmission that may generate artifacts of different natures. Consequently, it is important to have appropriate tools to measure the quality of stereoscopic content. Several studies tried to extend well-known metrics, such as the PSNR or SSIM, to 3D. However, the results are not as good as for 2D images and it becomes important to have metrics dealing with 3D perception. In this work, we propose a full reference metric for quality assessment of stereoscopic images based on the binocular fusion process characterizing the 3D human perception. The main idea consists of the development of a model allowing to reproduce the binocular signal generated by simple and complex cells, and to estimate the associated binocular energy. The difference of binocular energy has shown a high correlation with the human judgement for different impairments and is used to build the Binocular Energy Quality Metric (BEQM). Extensive experiments demonstrated the performance of the BEQM with regards to literature. 相似文献

BACKGROUND: In Tunisia the cuttlefish‐processing industry generates large amounts of solid wastes. These wastes, which may represent 35% of the original material and constitute an important source of proteins, are discarded without any attempt at recovery. This paper describes some functional properties and the angiotensin I‐converting enzyme (ACE)‐inhibitory activity of protein hydrolysates prepared by hydrolysis of cuttlefish (Sepia officinalis) by‐products with crude enzyme extract from Bacillus licheniformis NH1. RESULTS: Cuttlefish by‐product protein hydrolysates (CPHs) with different degrees of hydrolysis (DH 5, 10 and 13.5%) were prepared. All CPHs contained 750–790 g kg?1 proteins. Solubility, emulsifying capacity and water‐holding capacity increased while fat absorption and foaming capacity decreased with increasing DH. All hydrolysates showed greater fat absorption than the water‐soluble fraction from undigested cuttlefish by‐product proteins and casein. CPHs were also analysed for their ACE‐inhibitory activity. CPH3 (DH 13.5%) displayed the highest ACE inhibition (79%), with an IC50 value of 1 mg mL?1. CONCLUSION: Hydrolysis of cuttlefish by‐product proteins with alkaline proteases from B. licheniformis resulted in a product with excellent solubility over a wide pH range and high ACE‐inhibitory activity. Photovoltaic devices made from blended poly(3,3?-didodecylquaterthiophene) (PQT-12) and [6,6]-phenyl-C61-butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM) incorporating an additional interlayer of M-phthalocyanine (M-Pc) have been characterized using current-voltage response, UV-visible absorption and external quantum efficiency. The introduction of H2Pc, CuPc, ClInPc or TiOPc layers improves device performance compared to conventional bulk-heterojunction PQT-12:PCBM cells without M-Pc. Devices with M-Pc show increased absorption and free charge generation at longer wavelengths and have higher open circuit voltage. Polymorphic changes from solvent interaction are observed in TiOPc films during fabrication. Power conversion efficiencies of 0.79% are achieved for this modified bulk-heterojunction solar cell. 相似文献

ABSTRACTIt is a known fact that incorporating textures in the contact surfaces can significantly enhance bearing performances. The purpose of this paper is to outline the effects of texture bottom profiles and contour geometries on the performances of hydrodynamic textured journal bearings. The analysis was conducted using computational approach to test eight texture shapes: rectangular, cylindrical, spherical, triangular (TR, T1, T2, T3) and chevron. The steady-state Reynolds equation for modelling the hydrodynamic behaviour of thin viscous film was solved using finite difference technique and mass conservation algorithm (JFO boundary conditions), taking into account the presence of textures on both full film and cavitation regions. The comparison with the benchmark data shows good consistency and an enhancement in bearing performances (load carrying capacity and friction). The results clearly show that the mechanisms of wedge effect and micro-step bearing for the full/partial texturing feature are the main crucial parameters, where the convergent wedge effect present in T2 triangular texture shape can significantly enhance the load-carrying capacity, while the divergent wedge action causes a net load loss. Considering the right arrangement of textures on the contact surface, their surface contours can have a significant impact on the performance of hydrodynamic journal bearings at high eccentricity ratios. 相似文献

Fused filament fabrication (FFF), an additive manufacturing technique, is used to produce prototypes and a gradually more important processing route to get final products. Due to the layer-by-layer deposition mechanism involved, bonding between adjacent layers is controlled by the thermal energy of the material being printed. Thus, it is strongly in conjunction with the temperature development of the filaments during the deposition sequence. This study gives out an in-process set-up enabling to record temperature profile of two adjacent filaments or a sequence of deposition in various locations during FFF process. The main characteristic of the presented procedure is the possibility of obtaining a global temperature profile resulted from an IR-camera; parallel to those recorded using a K-type thermocouple. Needless to say that a K-type thermocouple accurately records the local temperature at the interface of adjacent filaments. Conversely, an IR-camera signifies the temperature profile on the captured surface. The obtained results showed that there is a remarkable difference between the cooling rate and re-heating peaks. The primary outcome of this study is the consideration of results accuracy and the possibility of working on optimization of the obtained temperature profile. This study was designed to determine the effect of germination on nitrogenous constituents, protein fractions, in vitro digestibility and antinutritional factors (namely trypsin inhibitor and haemagglutinin) of the Egyptian fenugreek seeds Geiza 2 variety. After 96 h of germination, there was 18% decrease in the dry weight of seeds, a slight increase of total nitrogen (TN), a decrease of protein nitrogen (PN) and a marked increase of both non-protein nitrogen (NPN) and free amino acid nitrogen (FAAN). Non-protein nitrogen other than FAAN, amido nitrogen and ammonia nitrogen also increased. The protein fractions (namely albumin, globulin, prolamin and glutelin) were separated according to their solubilities in different solvents. The ratio between the four protein fractions in ungerminated seeds was 4:3.5:2.8:1 and became 2:6.5:7.7:1 after germination as calculated on the basis of their PN.Trypsin inhibitor activity per gramme of fenugreek was found to be higher by 66% in germinated fenugreek than ungerminated seeds. Both ungerminated and germinated fenugreek was found devoid of the haemagglutinin activity.Germination resulted in a slight increase in pancreatic digestibility, 33.7% decrease in digestibility by pepsin followed by pancreatin, while a small decrease was found in peptic digestibility. 相似文献
