The microscopic nature of the selective interaction of iodine with an As- and Ga-stabilized GaAs(001) surface has been investigated by the photoelectron emission and ab initio calculations. The adsorption of iodine on the Ga-stabilized (4 × 2)/c(8 × 2) surface leads to the formation of the prevailing chemical bond with gallium atoms; to a significant redistribution of the electron density between the surface Ga and As atoms; and, as a result, to a decrease in their binding energy. Iodine on the As-stabilized (2 × 4)/c(2 × 8) surface forms a bond predominantly with surface arsenic atoms. Such a selective interaction of iodine with the reconstructed surfaces gives rise to the etching of the Ga-stabilized surface and the passivation of the As-stabilized surface; this explains the layer-by-layer (“digital”) etching of GaAs(001) controlled by the reconstruction transitions on this surface.  相似文献

The structural variation in multilayer Langmuir-Blodgett films of lead stearate caused by heat treatment under different conditions in the temperature range 20–100°C is investigated by X-ray reflectometry and high-resolution electron diffraction. Successive annealing of the samples is shown to not alter the initial layered structure at temperatures of 60, 80, and 100°C; partial disturbance of the layered structure occurs upon successive annealing at 80°C and 100°C. Significant disturbance of the structure is observed when the films are heated immediately to 100°C. In all these cases, the orthorhombic (pseudomonoclinic) lattice, with the lattice constants: a = 0.496, b = 0.738, c = 9.60 nm, α = β = γ = 90°, space group P2/1b, formed by transferring monolayers onto the substrate is retained in the crystalline domains of the film.  相似文献

We present the first results of observations of the stimulated electromagnetic emission (SEE) in the ionosphere modified by the Space Plasma Exploration by Active Radar (SPEAR) heating facility. Observation of the SEE is the key method of ground-based diagnostics of the ionospheric plasma disturbances due to high-power HF radiation. The presented results were obtained during the heating campaign performed at the SPEAR facility in February–March 2007. Prominent SEE special features were observed in periods in which the critical frequency of the F 2 layer was higher than the pump-wave frequency (4.45 MHz). As an example, such special features as the downshifted maximum and the broad continuum in the region of negative detunings from the pump-wave frequency are presented. Observations clearly demonstrate that the ionosphere was efficiently excited by the SPEAR heating facility despite the comparatively low pump-wave power. Complex phosphates of titanium, chromium, and metals(2+) of the general formula M0.5(1 + x )Cr x Ti2 ? x (PO4)3 (M = Mg, Ca, Mn, Ni, Sr, Ba, and Pb) were synthesized. Their phase formation was studied by means of X-ray powder diffraction, electron probe microanalysis, differential thermal analysis, and IR spectroscopy. Individual phases and solid solutions crystallizing in kosnarite and langbeinite structure types were identified; their crystallographic parameters were calculated. The catalytic properties of phosphates Ca0.5(1 + x )Cr x Ti2 ? x (PO4)3 in methanol conversion were studied.  相似文献
