真空系统是加速器驱动次临界系统项目注入器Ⅱ的重要组成部分之一,为了保证其工作效率设计了一种基于实验物理及工业控制系统(EPICS)架构的远程控制系统。根据被控设备硬件接口的特点及控制需求分别采用PLC和串口服务器等作为控制设备,在主控机中使用LabView编程实现了对系统内所有设备的监控,并借助于DSC模块把设备状态和参数等以过程变量的形式进行网络发布。同时根据系统特点设计了软硬件相结合的连锁保护方案,增加了系统的可靠性,为5 MeV束流实验的顺利进行提供保障。  相似文献

The Intensity Heavy Ion Superconducting Linear Accelerator as the injector of the High Intensity Heavy-Ion Accelerator Facility, which is a new project proposed in China has been designed. One of the design options in the low energy part is based on Quarter Wave Resonators (QWRs). However, because of the unsymmetrical geometry of the cavity, there are dipole fields near the beam hole, which may steer the beam vertically, thus leading to emittance growth and beam loss. The effect of the dipole mode field is analyzed, and a method to overcome the beam steering effect by placing QWRs with opposite orientation is proposed in this paper. The simulation results show that the beam steering effect is reduced effectively by this method, and the deviation of the beam centroid is decreased from 2.87 mm to 0.1 mm. The emittance growth is also smaller.  相似文献

A linear accelerator as a new injector for the Separated Sector Cyclotron at the Heavy Ion Research Facility of LAN Zhou is being designed. The Drift-Tube-Linac (DTL) has been designed to accelerate 238U34+ from 0.140 MeV/u to 0.97 MeV/u [1]. The 3D finite element analysis of thermal behavior is presented in this paper. During operation, the cavity will produce Joule heat. The cavity will not work normally due to the high temperature and thermal deformation will lead to frequency drift. So it is necessary to perform thermal analysis to ensure the correct working temperature is used. The result of the analysis shows that after the water cooling system is put into the cavity the temperature rise is about 20 degrees and the frequency drift is about 0.15%.  相似文献

A new procedure for the design and simulation of a Radio Frequency Quadrupole (RFQ) accelerator has been developed at the Argonne National Laboratory. This procedure is integrated with the beam dynamics design code DESRFQ and the simulation code TRACK, which are based on three-dimensional field calculations and the particle-in-cell mode beam dynamics simulations. This procedure has been applied to the development of a 162.5 MHz CW RFQ which is capable of delivering a 10 mA proton beam for the Accelerator Driven System (ADS) of the CAS. The simulation results show that this RFQ structure is characterized by the stable values of the beam acceleration efficiency for both the zero current beam and space charge dominated beam. For an average beam current of 10 mA, there is no transverse rms emittance growth, the longitudinal rms emittance at the exit of RFQ is low enough and there is no halo formation. The beam accelerated in the RFQ could be accepted easily and smoothly by the following super-conducting linear accelerator.  相似文献

In this paper, we present the RF simulation, the fabrication and the normal RF test of a six-cell copper model cross bar H mode (CH) cavity. The CH cavity was researched and developed at the Institute of Modern Physics for Injector II of the superconducting linac of the accelerator driven system of China, operating at a frequency 162.5 MHz, β=0.065. The deep drawing and electron beam welding were employed to fabricate this cavity, which would be used to develop the superconducting CH cavity in the future. The results of the normal RF test agree with the simulation of the electromagnetic properties, such as the electric field distribution on the cavity axis, frequency and Q factor.  相似文献

A Penning trap system called Lanzhou Penning Trap(LPT) is now being developed for precise mass measurements at the Institute of Modern Physics(IMP).One of the key components is a 7 T actively shielded superconducting magnet with a clear warm bore of 156 mm.The required field homogeneity is 3 × 10-7 over two 1 cubic centimeter volumes lying 220 mm apart along the magnet axis.We introduce a two-step method which combines linear programming and a nonlinear optimization algorithm for designing the multi-section superconducting magnet.This method is fast and flexible for handling arbitrary shaped homogeneous volumes and coils.With the help of this method an optimal design for the LPT superconducting magnet has been obtained.  相似文献

A new SSC (Separated Sector Cyclotron)-Linac is being designed to serve as an injector for the SSC at the HIRFL (Heavy Ion Research Facility Lanzhou). The beam intensity at the LEBT (Low Energy Beam Transport) for the heavy ions after the selection is typically low and the space charge effects are inconspicuous. The space charge effects become obvious when the beam current increases to a few hundred microamperes. The emittance growth deriving from the space charge effects may be particularly troublesome for the following linac and cyclotron. An optical system containing three solenoids has been designed for the LEBT to limit the beam emittance and to avoid the unnecessary beam loss in the cyclotron, as well as for the purpose of immunizing the LEBT emittance growth due to the space charge effects. The results of the PIC (Particle- In-Cell) mode simulation illustrate that this channel could limit the beam emittance growth and increase the beam brightness.  相似文献

A 52 MHz Radio Frequency Quadrupole (RFQ) linear accelerator (linac) is designed to serve as an initial structure for the SSC-Linac system (injector into Separated Sector Cyclotron).The designed injection and output energy are 3.5 keV/u and 143 keV/u,respectively.The beam dynamics in this RFQ have been studied using a three-dimensional Particle-In-Cell (PIC) code BEAMPATH.Simulation results show that this RFQ structure is characterized by stable values of beam transmission effciency (at least 95%) for both zerocurrent mode and the space charge dominated regime.The beam accelerated in the RFQ has good quality in both transverse and longitudinal directions,and could easily be accepted by Drift Tube Linac (DTL).The effect of the vane error and that of the space charge on the beam parameters have been studied as well to define the engineering tolerance for RFQ vane machining and alignment.  相似文献

为了实现超导直线加速器束流强度的连续可调,并满足加速器在线稳定可靠运行,针对我国加速器驱动次临界系统(C-ADS)低能束流传输线(LEBT)的束流强度调控,提出了一种新型的可调限束光阑。可调限束光阑采用两个相对旋转的镜像对称转芯,转芯的孔径在某一范围内可以实现连续变化,以刮除不需要的外部粒子,提高束流品质,降低束损,最重要的是可实现束流强度的在线连续可调,并满足圆形束的要求。仿真和试验结果表明,在0~10 mA范围内,可以有效地卡掉不需要的外部粒子束流,并实现束流强度的在线连续调节。该装置为质子直线加速器提供了一种方便的束流调试方法,能够满足ADS直线加速器稳定可靠的在线运行。  相似文献
