Two‐dimensional solvable system of difference equations with periodic coefficients

We show that the following two‐dimensional system of difference equations: where , , , and are periodic sequences, is solvable, considerably extending some results in the literature. In the case when all these four sequences are periodic with period 2 or with period 3, we present closed‐form formulas for the general solutions to the corresponding systems of difference equations. Some comments regarding theoretical and practical solvability of the system, connected to the value of the period of the sequences, are given.     

Collapsing $$\omega _2$$ with semi-proper forcing

We examine the differences between three standard classes of forcing notions relative to the way they collapse the continuum. It turns out that proper and semi-proper posets behave differently in that respect from the class of posets that preserve stationary subsets of \(\omega _1\).     

Weighted composition operators from the weighted Bergman space to the weighted Hardy space on the unit ball

We investigate the weighted composition operator from the weighted Bergman space into the weighted Hardy space on the unit ball. As a consequence of the investigation, we also give a characterization for the boundedness and compactness of the operator whose the target space is the Hardy space.     

Composition operators from the Hardy space to the nth weighted-type space on the unit disk and the half-plane

The boundedness of the composition operator C_φf(z)=f(φ(z)) from the Hardy space , where X is the upper half-plane or the unit disk D={z∈C:|z|<1} in the complex plane C, to the nth weighted-type space, where φ is an analytic self-map of X, is characterized.

The boundedness of the composition operator from the weighted Bergman space to, recently introduced by this author, the nth weighted-type space on the upper half-plane are characterized here.
