Trichoderma reesei was used as a biosorbent for the removal of Co2+, Cu2+, Ni2+, Pb2+ and Zn2+ ions. The influence of factors such as pH, mass of biomass, contact time and temperature on biosorption efficiency was optimized. To calculate the isotherm parameters for the biosorption of Co2+, Cu2+, Ni2+, Pb2+ and Zn2+ ions at optimized conditions, the experimental equilibrium data were fitted to Langmuir and Freundlich models. The calculated thermodynamic parameters, ΔG°, ΔH° and ΔS° showed that the biosorption of Co2+, Cu2+, Ni2+, Pb2+ and Zn2+ ions onto T. reesei biomass was feasible, spontaneous and endothermic at the optimized conditions. The results of kinetic analysis showed that the biosorption of the selected metal ions onto T. reesei biomass obeys pseudo second order kinetics. 相似文献

Two clozapine (CLZ) imprinted polymers were prepared by bulk and precipitation methods. Methacrylic acid and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EDMA) were used as functional and crosslinker monomers, respectively. The mean diameter and particle size distribution of the imprinted (P‐MIP) and nonimprinted (P‐NIP) particles obtained in precipitation method were examined. A conventional batch‐adsorption test was applied for characterization of CLZ–polymer interaction. Dissociation constant (KD) and maximum binding sites (Bmax) were calculated using Scatchard analysis. To evaluate the recognition properties of polymers, phenytoin (PTN) binding to each polymer was also studied and compared to CLZ. The imprinting factor (IF) and selectivity factor (α) were also determined for each polymer. Average diameter and polydispersity of P‐MIP were 925 nm and 0.17, respectively. The data for P‐NIP were 1.05 μm and 0.18. The KD, IF, and α values calculated for P‐MIP were 0.45 μM, 3.26, and 17.43, respectively. The data for imprinted polymer, prepared by bulk polymerization (B‐MIP), were 14.5 μM, 1.95, and 3.67. These results demonstrated that precipitation polymerization is a more convenient, more effective, and more reproducible method than bulk polymerization for the synthesis of uniformly sized micron and submicron‐imprinted polymer particles. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Dynamically vulcanized thermoplastic elastomers nanocomposites (TPV nanocomposites) based on linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE)/reclaimed rubber/organoclay were prepared via one‐step melt blending process. Maleic anhydride grafted polyethylene (PE‐g‐MA) was used as a compatibilizing agent. The effects of reclaimed rubber content (10, 30, and 50 wt %), nanoclay content (3, 5, and 7 wt %), and PE‐g‐MA on the microstructure, thermal behavior, mechanical properties, and rheological behavior of the nanocomposites were studied. The TPV nanocomposites were characterized by X‐ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), differential scanning calorimeter, mechanical properties, and rheometry in small amplitude oscillatory shear. SEM photomicrographs of the etched samples showed that the elastomer particles were dispersed homogeneously throughout the polyethylene matrix and the size of rubber particles was reduced with introduction of the organoclay particles and compatibilizer. The effects of different nanoclay contents, different rubber contents, and compatibilizer on mechanical properties were investigated. Increasing the amount of nanoclay content and adding the compatibilizer result in an improvement of the tensile modulus of the TPV nanocomposite samples. © 2011 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The perceptual quality of an image is very sensitive to the degradation of the edge information which is usually caused by many video signal applications such as super-resolution and denoising. Hence, it is very important to detect and enhance the edge information of the image. In this research work, new sets of kernels for edge detection using ratios of singular values of an image are proposed, which results in more detailed detection of edges in the original image. The parameters, which are the elements of kernel matrices and the threshold value used for producing binary image after convolving the kernels with the image of the proposed method, are optimised to achieve more detailed edge detection of the image. The experimental results show that more detailed edges are detected by the proposed method compared to the conventional edge detection techniques. 相似文献

In this paper, a troubleshooting technique is developed to provide a sequence of necessary actions during deodorizer unit failure in a palm oil refinery. This paper introduces a fuzzy expert system that incorporates the knowledge of experienced plant workers in dealing with the complex problems of the palm oil deodorizer. The presented methodology uses both qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data are collected from several interview sessions with the technical staff in a palm oil refinery. Quantitative data are gathered from various sources, such as control and monitoring systems. The qualitative data are analyzed to discover the possible pattern of faults in the deodorizer failure. This tool can diagnose possible faults and provide a sequence of necessary actions when deodorizer failure occurs. The obtained results show the developed deodorizer troubleshooting tool is useful to guide plant workers/operators in diagnosing the possible faults and abnormalities during the troubleshooting process, as well as to provide field training for inexperienced staff. 相似文献

Cancer is the second leading cause of death throughout the world. Nature-inspired anticancer agents (NAAs) that are a gift of nature to humanity have been extensively utilized in the alleviation/prevention of the disease due to their numerous pharmacological activities. While the oral route is an ideal and common way of drug administration, the application of NAAs through the oral pathway has been extremely limited owing to their inherent features, e.g., poor solubility, gastrointestinal (GI) instability, and low bioavailability. With the development of nano-driven encapsulation strategies, polymeric vehicles, especially those with natural origins, have demonstrated a potent platform, which can professionally shield versatile NAAs against GI barricades and safely deliver them to the site of action. In this review, the predicament of orally delivering NAAs and the encapsulation strategy solutions based on biopolymer matrices are summarized. Proof-of-concept in vitro/in vivo results are also discussed for oral delivery of these agents by various biopolymer vehicles, which can be found so far from the literature. Last but not the least, the challenges and new opportunities in the field are highlighted. 相似文献
