The development of a Water Cooled Ceramic Breeder (WCCB) Test Blanket Module (TBM) is being performed as one of the most important steps toward DEMO blanket in Japan. For the TBM testing and evaluation toward DEMO blanket, the module fabrication technology development by a candidate structural material, reduced activation martensitic/ferritic steel, F82H, is one of the most critical items from the viewpoint of realization of TBM testing in ITER. In Japan, fabrication of a real scale first wall, side walls, a breeder pebble bed box and assembling of the first wall and side walls have succeeded. Recently, the real scale partial mockup of the back wall was fabricated. The fabrication procedure of the back wall, whose thickness is up to 90 mm, was confirmed toward the fabrication of the real scale back wall by F82H. Important key technologies are almost clarified for the fabrication of the real scale TBM module mockup. From the view point of testing and evaluation, development of the technology of the blanket tritium recovery, development of advanced breeder and multiplier pebbles and the development of the blanket neutronics measurement technology are also performed. Also, tritium production and recovery test using D-T neutron in the Fusion Neutronics Source (FNS) facility has been started as the verification test of tritium production performance. This paper overviews the recent achievements of the development of the WCCB TBM in Japan.  相似文献

A film of polyamic acid is formed by vapor deposition polymerization of pyromellitic dianhydride (PMDA) and 4,4′-diaminodiphenyl ether (ODA). We have taken ESR spectrum during the polymerization process and compared it with the ESR spectrum of films obtained from solution polymerization. In the intermediate polymers during vapor deposition polymerization, the amide bond (? CONH? ) is coplanar with the benzene ring and two protons in the PMDA molecule. This intermediate polymer has one unpaired electron that interacts with the two nitrogen nuclei equally. On the other hand, in the polymer obtained by solution polymerization, the amide bond and the benzene ring of PMDA are not coplanar. In this polymer, too, some of the molecules have an unpaired electron that seems to have almost no coupling with NH groups. These results imply that the polymer formation via vapor deposition proceeds through different intermediates and different molecular configurations from that via the solution process.  相似文献

In order to improve the weatherability of acryonitrile—styrene—butadiene rubber graft polymer (ABS resin), an attempt was made to develop a resin (AAS resin) in which acrylic rubber of good weatherability was used instead of butadiene rubber. First, by copolymerizing dicyclopentenyl-methacrylate (DCP-MA,3%) with butyl acrylate, crosslinked acrylic rubber was obtained. This also introduced grafting sites into the rubber. Next, methods of graft copolymerizing styrene and acrylonitrile with this rubber were examined. An emulsion–suspension polymerization method was developed in which the initial stage of the polymerization, emulsion polymerization, changed into suspension polymerization during the process. By this method of polymerization, rubber particles were combined and enlarged, bringing about a graft-type resin with high impact resistance. This polymerization method is industrially useful because particle-shaped resins are obtained without the need of a salting-out process. The AAS resin, obtained in this way, has much improved weatherability over ABS resin and shows strength equal to that of ABS resin. © 1992 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

The 3D quantitative measurement system for a sewer pipe is introduced. Two parallel lasers are rotated by the motor and draw the two annular streaks on the inside surface of the pipe. The circular laser streaks are recorded by the CCD camera. The measurement of the cross-section is established by analyzing the recorded streaks. The tilt of the robot against the axis of the pipe is detected by the deviation between two parallel lasers. It enables us to measure the vertical cross section of the pipe regardless the tilt of the system to the pipe. Experimental result shows the feasibility of the system. The synthesis of solid solutions of (Ti,W,Cr)B2 from elemental reactants using the field-activated, pressure-assisted synthesis method and employing the SPS apparatus was investigated. The nature of the products depended on temperature; they were nearly pure solid solutions at 1900°C with minor amounts of β-WB. The product density and microhardness depended on the temperature of synthesis for the same value of applied pressure (64 MPa). Samples with the highest density (94%) corresponded to a hardness of 22.7 GPa. When annealed at 1500°C, the solid solutions decomposed, precipitating a (W,Ti,Cr)B2 phase in a spinodal form. In addition, β-WB precipitates in the form of thin (0.4–5.3 nm) layers were observed. They existed in a 60°/120° orientation to the (Ti,W,Cr)B2 matrix, in agreement with previous observations. Highly faceted, small (nanosized) pores associated with the β-WB precipitates were also observed.  相似文献

A semi-continuous fluidized-bed process is reported which rapidly converts acetylene into carbon nanotubes (CNTs). Catalysts are first immobilized on ceramic beads and CNTs are then grown on the beads and then separated from them in a repetitive process accomplished within a single reactor simply by switching gases at a fixed temperature. CNTs of 6–10 nm diameter, three walls on average, 0.4 mm length and 99 wt.% purity were synthesized at an yield of over 70% in a reactor residence time shorter than 0.3 s. The easy and efficient production of such CNTs with in situ separation from the catalysts may accelerate the development of CNT-based nanotechnology industries.  相似文献

This paper analyzes the electric field distribution near a wedge‐like edge in arrangements consisting of three dielectrics using analytical and numerical methods. The electric potential behaves exponentially as rn (r is the distance from the edge) near the edge, leading to an infinitely high field with decreasing r for all cases. The value of the analytically derived exponent n agreed well with that obtained from the numerical field calculations. It has also been demonstrated that rounded contact of the spacer with a zero contact angle can make the electric field constant without showing an exponential rise near the edge. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A bit error rate estimation method for optical fiber transmission systems employing all-optical 2R regenerators is presented. The method is based on the linearization of the nonlinear transfer function of the regenerators in three sections. Using this linearized three-section model, the impact of 2R regeneration on the system performance as a function of the extinction ratio, the clamping factor, and the steepness of the transfer function is studied.  相似文献

The separation of water/alcohol mixtures through chitosan membrane was investigated. The degree of the deacetylation of chitosan did not affect the selectivity of the membrane in the separation of the water/ethanol mixture. The selectivity of the chitosan membrane was affected by the specific salts such as CoSO4, ZnSO4, and MnSO4 and it increased when the salts were present in the feed mixture or the membrane was pretreated with the salt solution. This behavior would be explained by the contraction of the “holes” produced by the thermal motion of polymer chains and this contraction would be correlated with the conformation change of chitosan molecule due to the formation of complexes with metal ions.  相似文献
