Oxygen-containing carbon materials have been studied extensively because of their excellent dispersibility, absorptivity, separability, and supportability of catalysts. However, structural control by existing top-down methods is almost impossible. Our group has demonstrated that phloroglucinol (PG, 1,3,5-trihydroxybenzene) can be a promising raw material to synthesize structurally controlled oxygen-containing carbon materials. In this study, in addition to PG, hexahydroxybenzene (HHB), which has more oxygen and high symmetry, was used as the raw material, and a Lewis acid catalyst, tris (pentafluorophenyl) borane (TPB), was used to enhance the structural control rate and the removability of catalysts from the carbonized samples. The solubility of heat-treated HHB was lower than that of heat-treated PG, but the oxygen content of heat-treated HHB was higher than that of heat-treated PG even at 673 K. By adding TPB to PG, dibenzofuran-like structures formed, and the structural control rate increased up to 93.6%. Besides, the content of fluorine in the catalyst was reduced to 0%, indicating that TPB can be a promising recyclable catalyst to promote the structural control rate of carbonized PG.
This paper describes the measurement of a cylindrical surface with sinusoidal micro-structures over a large area on a diamond turning machine. The sinusoidal micro-structures, which are fabricated on the periphery surface of a cylinder by the fast tool servo-based diamond turning, are superposition of periodic sine-waves along the cylinder axis and the cylinder circumference with amplitudes of 100 nm and wavelengths of 100 μm, respectively. An optical two-dimensional (2D) slope sensor with a multi-spot light beam is developed for measurement of the 2D local slopes of the sinusoidal micro-structured surface. A cylindrical lens is employed in the sensor for removing the influence of the curvature of the cylinder surface. We measure the ion beam current and the plasma parameters by using the pulse mode microwave operation in the first stage of a tandem type ECRIS. The time averaged extracted ion beam current in the pulse mode operation is larger than that of the cw mode operation with the same averaged microwave power. The electron density n(e) in the pulse mode is higher and the electron temperature T(e) is lower than those of the cw mode operation. These plasma parameters are considered to cause in the increase of the ion beam current and are suitable to produce molecular or cluster ions. 相似文献
The seesaw-oscillation of a small circular pad on a single droplet was studied both numerically and experimentally. The circular pad with a diameter of 2.0–3.8 mm onto a water or glycerol droplet with a volume of 1–10 μL, and a bottom substrate with a smaller diameter than that of the pad were used in the experiment. The pad was then tilted and then the tilting fixture was quickly removed. The pad alternately oscillated and then finally stabilized in a horizontal position. The numerical model considering the surface tension and the viscous force of the droplet was developed and calculated using the same configurations as those in the experiment. The experimental and numerical data showed good agreement not only in terms of the oscillating frequency and damping ratio but the transient motion of the circular pad and instantaneous droplet surface shape. 相似文献
It is the object of this investigation to examine the effect of an axial force on the frequencies of linearly tapered beams with ends restrained elastically against rotation. The buckling of the system is also discussed. The fundamental eigenfrequencies of the beams with two types of linear tapers are obtained numerically by means of the Ritz method. Numerical results for various taper ratios are shown in graphs and tables against the axial forces and the degrees of end fixity. 相似文献
Based on the Jones matrix representation of twisted nematic liquid crystals (LC's), we have carried out a theoretical analysis of the polarization properties of inversely twisted nematic (ITN) LC gratings. Some interesting polarization behaviors are expected in the ITN LC grating. When a linearly polarized light parallel or perpendicular to the grating direction is incident on the ITN LC grating, the diffracted light in the 0th order is linearly polarized with the same polarization direction of incident light, while the diffracted light in high orders is linearly polarized perpendicular to that of incident light. Using a multirubbing alignment technique, we have practically prepared an ITN LC grating with ?45 degrees inversely twisted structures. The experimental investigations of the optical characteristics of the ITN LC grating demonstrate agreement with theoretical expectations. 相似文献
For a double-pass-pumped cw Tm:YAG laser, we developed a theoretical model, taking into account reabsorption loss and mode matching between the pumping light and the cavity mode. We also demonstrated that efficient operation can be obtained with a simple cavity configuration by using a dichroic output mirror, highly reflective at the pumping wavelength and partially reflective at the lasing wavelength. Experimental comparisons of this pumping method with single-pass pumping showed that the longitudinally double-pass-pumped Tm:YAG laser performs as well at room temperature as the single-pass-pumped laser performs at -10 degrees C. 相似文献
Theoretical and experimental results of longitudinal leaky surface waves with a higher phase velocity than that of ordinary leaky surface waves and a low propagation loss on lithium tetraborate (LBO) are investigated in detail. They propagate along the surface with a phase velocity close to that of longitudinal bulk wave, slightly radiating two kinds of shear bulk waves (or one shear bulk wave in the case that one of two shear wave terms is uncoupled) into the solid. Most surface components of the mode consist of a longitudinal wave term and an electromagnetic wave term. The detailed propagation properties of the longitudinal leaky surface waves on LBO with the Euler angles (phi, theta, 90 degrees ) are investigated theoretically and experimentally. The (011) cut of LBO was found to be desirable for higher frequency SAW devices. One of the reasons why that mode on LBO has a low propagation loss is also discussed. 相似文献
The dispersion properties of longitudinal leaky surface waves propagating under the periodic Al strip grating on lithium tetraborate (Li(2)B(4)O(7); LBO) are described theoretically and experimentally for applications of the mode to high frequency SAW devices. A theoretical method developed here is based on Floquet's theorem using space harmonics as an orthogonal function set and real boundary integral equations derived from the method of weighted residuals for a period of each region, i.e., substrate, metal, and free space. The boundary integral equations are solved by using the Galerkin procedure. The periodic strip gratings with both single-electrodes and double-electrodes are investigated, considering the convergency of the numerical computation for the number of the space harmonics. As a result, the propagation loss for shorted gratings was found to be relatively low in the thickness range of the Al strip below about 1% for the single-electrodes and 2% for the double-electrodes, although it greatly increases for a thickness over 2% for the single-electrodes and 3% for the double-electrodes. 相似文献
BACKGROUND: Brief interruptions of coronary blood flow paradoxically protect the heart from subsequent prolonged ischemia. The basis of such endogenous cardioprotection, known as "ischemic preconditioning," remains uncertain. Pharmacological evidence has implicated ATP-dependent potassium (KATP) channels in the mechanism of preconditioning; however, the effects of sarcolemmal KATP channels on excitability cannot account for the protection. METHODS AND RESULTS: We simultaneously measured flavoprotein fluorescence, an index of mitochondrial redox state, and sarcolemmal KATP currents in intact rabbit ventricular myocytes. Our results show that diazoxide, a KATP channel opener, selectively activates mitochondrial KATP channels. Diazoxide induced reversible oxidation of flavoproteins with an EC50 of 27 micromol/L but did not activate sarcolemmal KATP channels. The subcellular site of diazoxide action is further localized to mitochondria by confocal imaging of fluorescence arising from flavoproteins and tetramethylrhodamine ethyl ester. In a cellular model of simulated ischemia, inclusion of diazoxide decreased the rate of cell death to about half of that in controls. Both the redox changes and protection are inhibited by the KATP channel blocker 5-hydroxydecanoic acid. CONCLUSIONS: Our results demonstrate that diazoxide targets mitochondrial but not sarcolemmal KATP channels and imply that mitochondrial KATP channels may mediate the protection from KATP channel openers. 相似文献
