Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)/(Co-Ni) nanofiber film was fabricated on silicon wafer using electrospinning technique. The topography of the produced PVA/(Co-Ni) nanofiber film was examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The Au/Poly (vinyl alcohol) (Co, Ni-doped)/n-Si Schottky diode (SD) was thermally formed in evaporating system after the spinning process. At first, the current–voltage (IV) characteristics of Au/PVA (Co, Zn-doped)/n-Si SD was measured at the room temperature (300 K). For the investigating the effect of temperature, illumination and radiation on Au/PVA (Co, Zn-doped)/n-Si SD comparatively, the measurement was performed under the illumination intensity of 200 W, at 380K, and finally the radiation dose of 22 kGy respectively. The diode characteristics such as the zero-bias barrier height (ϕBo), ideality factor (n) and series resistance (Rs) were calculated at room temperature and under the condition of high temperature, illumination, and radiation. It was found that these characteristics were affected by the illumination and radiation as well as the temperature. The density of interface states (Nss) distribution profiles as a function of (Ec - Ess) extracted from the forward IV measurements were also affected by illumination and radiation even if just a bit. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. We apply Linear Error Correction (LEC) code to a novel encoding scheme to assure two fundamental requirements for transmission channels and storage units: security and dependability. Our design has the capacity to adapt itself to different applications and their various characteristics such as availability, error rate, and vulnerabilities. Based on simple logic operations, our scheme affords fast encryption, scalability (dual or more column erasures), and flexibility (LEC encoder employed as a front end to any conventional compression scheme). Performance results are very promising: Experiments on dual erasures outperform conventional compression algorithms including Arithmetic Coding, Huffman, and LZ77.  相似文献

In the present experimental study, strengthening of gray cast iron by reinforcing with steel plates was investigated in the as-cast and normalized conditions. Normalizing heat treatments were applied to the specimens at temperatures of 800 °C and 850 °C. Three-point bend specimens were manufactured from gray cast iron and also from gray cast iron with reinforced steel plates. Flexural strengths of the steel-plate-reinforced cast iron were calculated for four distinct volume fractions (Vr = 0.04, 0.08, 0.12, and 0.16). The current study shows that the steel-plate-reinforced gray cast iron has higher flexural strength and flexural modulus than the cast iron without reinforcement. The flexural strength considerably increases with slight increase in normalization temperature. Optical and scanning electron microscopy analyses were used to examine flake morphology and microstructures of gray cast iron and steel-plate-reinforced gray cast iron. It is noted that carbon diffuses from the gray cast iron to the steel plates. A transition region containing partially dissolved graphite and having high hardness was observed due to the carbon diffusion.  相似文献

Conversion of polyolefins (HDPE, LDPE and PP) into feedstock naphtha was investigated by hydroliquefaction process. Hydroliquefaction experiments were carried out under cold hydrogen pressure of 5 MPa at the temperatures between 375 and 450 °C in absence and presence of catalyst. Two types commercial catalysts were used, a hydrocracking catalyst (DHC-8) and a hydrogenation catalyst (HYDROBON). The effect of temperature and catalyst type on product yields and composition of gas and liquid products was investigated. The temperature was the main effect in hydroliquefaction. DHC-8 showed good cracking activity, but it gave the liquid product containing high olefin content same as thermal run. Although HYDROBON catalyst produced the sufficient amount of liquid (and naphtha fraction) at the higher temperature, it gave the liquid product with very low olefin content. The naphtha fractions obtained from polyolefins under the optimal hydrocracking conditions were analyzed by PIONA instrument to determine the hydrocarbon groups. PIONA analysis showed that the naphtha obtained from hydroliquefaction over HYDROBON catalyst could be used as a petrochemical feedstock. However, the naphtha obtained in presence of DHC-8 catalyst, which is to be used a feedstock, was needed further hydrogenation treatment.  相似文献

In this study, the geological and geotechnical conditions of old Istanbul (Fatih and Eminönü provinces) were investigated in detail and a seismic microzonation study was undertaken for this historical peninsula, which is the site of many ancient structures. Dynamic site response, liquefaction potential and slope stability analyses were carried out, based on field and laboratory tests and earthquake time histories computed with respect to probabilities of exceedance of 10 and 40% in 50 years. The output data obtained from the analyses were evaluated by GIS techniques, and ground shaking, liquefaction susceptibility and landslide hazard maps were prepared.  相似文献

A simple method that uses visible spectrophotometer data and an artificial neural network (ANN) was developed to determine edible oil color based on the L*a*b* format. The 100 oil samples consisted of nine pure oils, a sesame oil blend and three heated oils. Binary, ternary and quaternary mixtures of these 13 oils in different ratios were prepared, and absorbance values of the samples were measured in the visible region (380–700 nm). The absorbance values at wavelengths of 416, 456, 483, 537, 611 and 672 nm were used to train, validate and test the network. Strong correlations between the instrumental L*a*b*ΔE and the estimated L*a*b*ΔE were found for the test samples, with correlation coefficients (R2) of 0.989, 0.984, 0.996 and 0.992 for L*, a*, b*, and ΔE, respectively. The effects of number and combination of the wavelengths used for training of the ANN on the estimation capability of the network for the test samples were also investigated. Although a good agreement, average R2 of 0.991– 0 993 for L*a*b*, was obtained for combinations composed of three to six wavelengths with 483 and 537 nm in common, the best R2 value was obtained when all six wavelengths were used to train the ANN. The developed method is objective, cost effective and simple, and allows the color measurement with a basic visible spectrophotometer and disposable cuvettes.  相似文献

This study characterizes surface treated classic type fiber metal laminates (FMLs) interlaminar shear strength (ILSS) based on a glass mat reinforced polyphenylene sulphide composite and an aluminum alloy. The effect of concentration of γ‐glycidoxypropyltrimethoxysilane surface treatment on ILSS of adhesive bonding between aluminum sheet and composite laminates has been investigated. After determining the silane concentration, novel FML material is manufactured using a compression moulding process which involves aluminum sheets with different circular hole perforations (Array type A and B) with two circular hole diameters (ϕ3 and ϕ5 mm) and two total hole area/closed area: 0.05 and 0.06) to develop mechanical interlocking between aluminum layers and composite laminates. Tensile tests are performed to investigate the effect of different circular hole perforations on ILSS properties of FMLs. Test results show that ILSS is improved with increasing the circular hole diameter and decreased with the number of holes as correlated with undrilled FMLs. This paper aims to determine the factors that have an impact on the consumers’ willingness to pay a premium for hybrid automobiles in Turkey. A web-based random survey was conducted in different regions of Turkey. A questionnaire was administered to 1983 participants in January–March of 2009. The questionnaire was prepared by taking the issues raised in various sources into account. An ordered Probit model was used to meet the objective. Results show that variables such as income, gender, education, concerns about global warming, number of automobiles, importance of automobile performance, risk preference, attitude toward the alternative energy sources have an impact on the consumers’ willingness to pay a premium for hybrids. Findings suggest that consumers who have high income, higher educational level, and concerns about the global warming are more likely to pay a premium for hybrids. This study is expected to make important contributions to the current literature related to the consumers’ willingness to pay for hybrids by providing a research study from a developing country’s perspective. Results of this study also make important contributions to the policy and decision makers, environmental groups and automotive industry.  相似文献

Fuel properties of rapeseed oil and soybean oil methyl esters (e.g. density, cetane number and viscosity etc.) are similar to those of the diesel fuel. These methyl esters can be used as diesel engine fuel by mixing withy diesel fuel. In this study a comparison of diesel fuel, the rapeseed oil methyl ester and the soybean oil methyl ester was made from the engine performance and emissions point of view. The tests were carried out with a four-cylinder diesel engine for tree different injection pressures such as 250, 300 and 350 bar with each of these fuels. For the purpose of comparison, tests were also conducted at full load conditions with diesel fuel. As the result, the performance and emission values of rapeseed oil (R) and soybean oil (S) methyl esters were found to be nearly the same with those of diesel fuels (D) when injection pressure was increased to 300 bar.  相似文献

The effects of thermal cycles on the impact fatigue properties of unidirectional carbon fibre reinforced polyetherimide (PEI) matrix composites were investigated. During the thermal cycles, samples were immersed into boiling water (100 °C) and subsequently to ice water (0 °C), 50, 200 and 500 times. The changes in viscoelastic properties of the composites were investigated by means of dynamic mechanical thermal analyzer (DMTA). At the second step, thermal cycled composites were subjected to repeated impact loadings, with different impact energies. Instrumented impact test results were presented as a function of force, energy, deformation during the experiments. The scanning electron microscope (SEM) studies were done in order to understand the morphology of fractured samples after impact fatigue loading. The number of thermal cycles and applied impact energy of the hammer are found to have a great importance on the fracture morphology of repeatedly impacted material, as expected.  相似文献
