This study aimed to compare in vitro micro-shear bond strength (μSBS) of three different endodontic tricalcium silicate-based materials in contact with a bulk-fill resin-based composite. Thirty cylindrical resin blocks with a hole in the centre (2 mm in depth and 4 mm in diameter) were manufactured with a 3D printer and divided into three groups (n = 10), depending on the calcium silicate cement used: light curing TheraCal LC (Bisco, Schaumburg, IL, USA), liquid–powder NeoMTA 2 (NuSmile Avalon Biomed, Bradenton, FL, USA) and putty NeoPutty (NuSmile, Houston, TX, USA). Each sample was stored for 24 h at 37°C and 100% humidity. Then, after adhesive placement, the restorative material Filtek bulk-fill (3 M ESPE, St. Paul, MN, USA) was placed over the capping material using cylindrical plastic capsules (2 mm height and 2 mm) and polymerised for 20 s. Specimens were then tested in a universal testing machine for the compression load resulting in the μSBS. The data were compared with the one-way ANOVA (Welch) and the Tamhane test. The mean value was significantly higher in the TheraCal LC group than in the other two groups (p < 0.05). There was no significant difference between NeoMTA 2 and NeoPutty groups (p > 0.05). The majority of failure modes for all groups were cohesive within biomaterial. Using TheraCal LC in the pulp capping procedure can result in higher bond strength values to the tested bulk-fill resin-based composite than NeoMTA 2 and NeoPutty. 相似文献

The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficiency of Er:YAG laser in translucent fibre post removal. 60 human single-rooted anterior teeth were divided into three groups (n = 20) according to post diameters (Exacto1-E1, Exacto2-E2, Exacto3-E3) and subdivided according to laser application. Fibre posts were cemented to endodontically treated teeth, and the specimens were sliced with a thickness of 1.0 ± 0.2 mm. Er:YAG laser was applied and the push out bond strength test was performed. Two-way analysis of variance was used to perform the statistical analysis. Push out bond strengths at apical area were significantly lower in all test groups (p < 0.05). Laser application caused increase in all radicular thirds, but it was significant for E1 and E3 groups. Laser application to the post-dentine interface enhances the connection between post and dentine. 相似文献

Dwarf nettle (Urtica urens) seed extract was examined in vivo in the rat for its potential to modulate drug metabolizing enzymes including aminopyrine N‐demethylase (APND; CYP2C6), aniline 4‐hydroxylase (A4H; CYP2E1), nitrosodimethylamine N‐demethylase (NDMA‐ND; CYP2E1) erythromycin N‐demethylase (ERND; CYP3A1) CYP2D1/2 and glutathione S‐transferase (GST). RT‐PCR data and western blotting studies clearly demonstrated that CYP2C6 and CYP2E1 mRNA levels were substantially increased after Urtica treatment, while the level of CYP3A1 mRNA decreased and that of CYP2D1/2 remained unchanged. Urtica treatment significantly induced GST activity in the liver, lung and kidney (66‐, 46‐ and 31‐fold, respectively) while decreasing that of APND (35‐, 61‐ and 94‐fold) and NDMA‐ND (23, 28 and 54‐fold). ERND activity in liver was reduced 45‐fold, but increased in the lung and kidney (78‐ and 144‐fold) after Urtica treatment. These results indicate that Urtica seed extract may have the potential to inhibit and/or induce the metabolism of certain co‐administered drugs. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献

Aim
To describe the Turkish generalized lipodystrophy (GL) cohort with the frequency of each complication and the death rate during the period of the follow-up.Methods
This study reports on 72 patients with GL (47 families) registered at different centres in Turkey that cover all regions of the country. The mean ± SD follow-up was 86 ± 78 months. Results
The Kaplan–Meier estimate of the median time to diagnosis of diabetes and/or prediabetes was 16 years. Hyperglycaemia was not controlled in 37 of 45 patients (82.2%) with diabetes. Hypertriglyceridaemia developed in 65 patients (90.3%). The Kaplan–Meier estimate of the median time to diagnosis of hypertriglyceridaemia was 14 years. Hypertriglyceridaemia was severe (≥ 500 mg/dl) in 38 patients (52.8%). Seven (9.7%) patients suffered from pancreatitis. The Kaplan–Meier estimate of the median time to diagnosis of hepatic steatosis was 15 years. Liver disease progressed to cirrhosis in nine patients (12.5%). Liver disease was more severe in congenital lipodystrophy type 2 (CGL2). Proteinuric chronic kidney disease (CKD) developed in 32 patients (44.4%) and cardiac disease in 23 patients (31.9%). Kaplan–Meier estimates of the median time to diagnosis of CKD and cardiac disease were 25 and 45 years, respectively. Females appeared to have a more severe metabolic disease, with an earlier onset of metabolic abnormalities. Ten patients died during the follow-up period. Causes of death were end-stage renal disease, sepsis (because of recurrent intestinal perforations, coronavirus disease, diabetic foot infection and following coronary artery bypass graft surgery), myocardial infarction, heart failure because of dilated cardiomyopathy, stroke, liver complications and angiosarcoma. Conclusions
Standard treatment approaches have only a limited impact and do not prevent the development of severe metabolic abnormalities and early onset of organ complications in GL. 相似文献108.

Mitral aortic intervalvular fibrosa or aorto-mitral curtain is a fibrous avascular skeletal structure located between the anterior leaflet of the mitral valve and the non-coronary and left coronary cusps of the aortic valve. Mitral and aortic valve endocarditis are rarely accompanied by mitral aortic intervalvular fibrosa pseudoaneurysm and left atrial fistula of the aorta. Pseudoaneurysm of mitral aortic intervalvular fibrosa is a fatal complication that can occur after valvular surgery, valvular endocarditis, or blunt trauma. In this article, reconstructive surgical management with the Commando technique of a case who developed mitral-aortic intervalvular fibrosa pseudoaneurysm to left atrial fistula after aortic and mitral prosthetic valve endocarditis is described. The important feature of this article is that it is a first in the literature as it is accompanied by persistent left superior vena cava. 相似文献
