Magnetic susceptibility and ESR properties of manganese-containing solid solutions of bismuth orthoniobate BiNb1–x MnxO4–δ have been studied. Mn(II), Mn(III), and Mn(IV) atoms as well as their dimers exhibiting antiferro- and ferromagnetic types of exchange have been found in the solid solutions. Parameters of the exchange interactions in the clusters and the distribution of monomers and dimers of manganese atoms in the solid solutions have been calculated as functions of the paramagnetic atom fraction. 相似文献

The problem of free flow past a point source is considered for two streams with different Bernoulli constants whose encounter creates a bounded region of constant pressure. The theory and method of solving problems of plane ideal jet flows with different Bernoulli constants in the jets were developed in [1]. The structure of grafted adsorbing polymers on surfaces is described as a statistical ensemble of loops generated by an one-dimensional random walk perpendicular to the surface. The configuration of each chain is considered as a succession of closed loops ended by an open loop (a tail). The probability of formation of each individual loop is the product between the probability of first return to the surface and a Boltzmann factor containing the free energy of the Flory-Huggins kind, which is approximated by the minimum free energy of all possible configurations of that loop. At high grafting densities, the attractive interactions between monomers and surface control the fraction of polymer belonging to either closed loops or tails, hence the formation of a stretched grafted brush. At low grafting densities, the increase of that interaction above a critical value generates an abrupt collapse of the brush on the surface. Whereas for long polymers (with more than about 100 Kuhn segments), the structure of the brush can be determined, in general, only via Monte-Carlo sampling, it is argued that the two structural transitions indicated above can be well predicted by simple approximations. 相似文献

A coupled dynamic problem of electromechanics for thin wall multilayer elements is formulated based on the Kirchhoff–Love
hypotheses. In the case of harmonic loading, a simplified formulation is given using the monoharmonic approach and the concept
of complex moduli to characterize the cyclic properties of the material. The problem of forced vibrations of three-layer beam,
whose outer layers are made of a viscoelastic piezoactive material, and, the inner layer of a passive physically nonlinear
material, is considered as an example to demonstrate the possibility of the technique elaborated. The possibility of damping
the forced vibrations of a structure with the help of harmonic voltages applied to the external piezoactive layers is studied.
Results obtained for the transient response of the beam using the complete model are compared with data found using the simplified
