We introduce a new Monte Carlo (MC) method for simulating optical coherence tomography (OCT) images of complex multilayered turbid scattering media. We demonstrate, for the first time of our knowledge, the use of a MC technique to imitate two-dimensional polarization-sensitive OCT images with nonplanar boundaries of layers in the medium like a human skin. The simulation of polarized low-coherent optical radiation is based on the vector approach generalized from the iterative procedure of the solution of Bethe-Saltpeter equation. The performances of the developed method are demonstrated both for conventional and polarization-sensitive OCT modalities.  相似文献

A novel concept of an ultra-sensitive thermometer based on a series array of superconductor–insulator–normal (SIN) tunnel junctions has been proposed. The array helps to improve matching with an amplifier proportionally to the number of junctions. There is no fundamental limit for total noise and the main limitation is electron–phonon noise of the normal island reverse proportional to volume of the normal metal.  相似文献

We present a quantitative analysis of 2D surface plasmon based optical tweezers able to trap microcolloids at a patterned metal surface under low laser intensity. Photonic force microscopy is used to assess the properties of surface plasmon traps, such as confinement and stiffness, revealing stable trapping with forces in the range of a few tens of femtonewtons. We also investigate the specificities of surface plasmon tweezers with respect to conventional 3D tweezers responsible for their selectivity to the trapped specimen's size. The accurate engineering of the trapping properties through the adjustment of the illumination parameters opens new perspectives in the realization of future optically driven on-a-chip devices.  相似文献

We present a measurement of the branching fraction B(D{s}{+}-->mu{+}nu{mu}) using a 548 fb{-1} data sample collected by the Belle experiment at the KEKB e{+}e{-} collider. The D{s} momentum is determined by reconstruction of the system recoiling against DKgammaX in events of the type e{+}e{-}-->D{s}{*}DKX, D{s}{*}-->D{s}gamma, where X represents additional pions or photons from fragmentation. This full-reconstruction method provides high resolution in the neutrino momentum and thus good background separation, equivalent to that achieved by experiments at the tau-charm factories. We obtain the branching fraction B(D{s}{+}-->mu{+}nu{mu})=[6.44+/-0.76(stat)+/-0.57(syst)]x10{-3}, implying a D{s} decay constant of f{D{s}}=[275+/-16(stat)+/-12(syst)] MeV.  相似文献

Using experiments with anisotropic vibrated rods and quasi-2D numerical simulations, we show that shape plays an important role in the collective dynamics of self-propelled (SP) particles. We demonstrate that SP rods exhibit local ordering, aggregation at the side walls, and clustering absent in round SP particles. Furthermore, we find that at sufficiently strong excitation SP rods engage in a persistent swirling motion in which the velocity is strongly correlated with particle orientation.  相似文献

First-principles phase diagrams of bismuth-stabilized GaAs- and InP(100) surfaces demonstrate for the first time the presence of anomalous (2x1) reconstructions, which disobey the common electron counting principle. Combining these theoretical results with our scanning-tunneling-microscopy and photoemission measurements, we identify novel (2x1) surface structures, which are composed of symmetric Bi-Bi and asymmetric mixed Bi-As and Bi-P dimers, and find that they are stabilized by stress relief and pseudogap formation.  相似文献

We report a measurement of the exclusive e+ e- -->Lambda+_(c)Lambda-_(c) cross section as a function of center-of-mass energy near the Lambda+_(c)Lambda-_(c) threshold. A clear peak with a significance of 8.2sigma is observed in the Lambda+_(c)Lambda-_(c) invariant mass distribution just above threshold. With an assumption of a resonance origin for the observed peak, a mass and width of M=[4634 (+8)_(-7)(stat)(+5)_(-8)(syst)] MeV/c(2) and Gamma_(tot)=[92 (+40)_(-24)(stat)(+10)_(-21)(syst)] MeV are determined. The analysis is based on a study of events with initial-state-radiation photons in a data sample collected with the Belle detector at the Upsilon(4S) resonance and nearby continuum with an integrated luminosity of 695 fb(-1) at the KEKB asymmetric-energy e+ e- collider.  相似文献

We develop a theory of macroscopic resonant tunneling of flux in a double-well potential in the presence of realistic flux noise with a significant low-frequency component. The rate of incoherent flux tunneling between the wells exhibits resonant peaks, the shape and position of which reflect qualitative features of the noise, and can thus serve as a diagnostic tool for studying the low-frequency flux noise in SQUID qubits. We show, in particular, that the noise-induced renormalization of the first resonant peak provides direct information on the temperature of the noise source and the strength of its quantum component.  相似文献

Even though power-law or close-to-power-law degree distributions are ubiquitously observed in a great variety of large real networks, the mathematically satisfactory treatment of random power-law graphs satisfying basic statistical requirements of realism is still lacking. These requirements are: sparsity, exchangeability, projectivity, and unbiasedness. The last requirement states that entropy of the graph ensemble must be maximized under the degree distribution constraints. Here we prove that the hypersoft configuration model, belonging to the class of random graphs with latent hyperparameters, also known as inhomogeneous random graphs or W-random graphs, is an ensemble of random power-law graphs that are sparse, unbiased, and either exchangeable or projective. The proof of their unbiasedness relies on generalized graphons, and on mapping the problem of maximization of the normalized Gibbs entropy of a random graph ensemble, to the graphon entropy maximization problem, showing that the two entropies converge to each other in the large-graph limit.  相似文献

The paper presents the experimental results for velocity and tempertaure disibutions of the condensed phase in a plasma jet from the plasmatorch PNK-50 (design from ITAM SB RAS, Novosibirsk). The plasma jet is used at different operational modes for thermal spraying of nickel alloy powder PR-NKh16SR3. The measurements for average velocity (230–280 m/s) and temperature (2290–2410 K) of sprayed particles were matched to data on microhardness (630–710 HV) and porosity (1.7–13.5 %) of samples. Results were transferred into coating properties maps plotted in coordinates “arc current vs. torch offset” and “particle velocity vs. particle temperature”. Experiments demonstrated the change in parameters of condensed phase in the jet after performimg of maintenance job for the plasmatorch. We propose the method for adjusting the operational parameters of thermal spraying equipment using optical methods of control for particle velocity and particle temperature. The exemplary apparatus function of the plasmatorch was plotted; an approach is proposed for optimization and transfer of spraying technology of coatings with specified properties between equipment from different manufacturers, different class and power.  相似文献
