The generalised BCS dislocation group model and the generalised DB atomic cohesive force zone model have obtained the same results on nonlinear fracture study of some one-,two-and three-dimensional quasicrystals.This work reveals some inherent connection between the two models,and finds that their common basis is the generalised Eshelby integral based on the generalised Eshelby energy-momentum tensor for quasicrystals.Further applications of the theory in solving nonlinear fracture problems of the materials are also discussed. 相似文献

The mistakes in the classical solution of a screw dislocation in smectic A liquid crystals are pointed out. A serious problem with the well-known theory is pointed, which may be named de Gennes-Kleman-Pershan paradox and has existed for many decades in the scientific community of liquid crystal study. The correct solution is given in this paper by a simplest, elementary, and straight forward method. In connection with this, the stress field and energy of dislocation are discussed in detail. The strain energy of an edge dislocation in an external static magnetic field is determined by the theory of elasticity and electrodynamics according to the Volterra dislocation model for continuous media. The results show that the strain energy of the edge dislocation in paramagnetic states is increased due to static magnetic field and the increase in the energy of the dislocation is capable of influencing the dislocation depinning which leads to the change of plasticity. This gives an explanation on plasticity induced by magnetic field. 相似文献

A model on the coexisting phase of quasicrystal-crystal is proposed,with which we concretely investigate the interface effects for coexisting phases of one-dimensional orthorhombic quasicrystal-isotropic crystal and three-dimensional icosahedral quasicrystal-cubic crystal.The phason strain fields which play an important role in some processes are determined.Some factors affecting the strain fields,e.g.,the material constants of phonon,phason,phonon-phason coupling of the quasicrystal and the elastic modulus and the size of the crystal are also explored. 相似文献
