过去的认知和认知发展研究偏重于对激活过程的考察，随着当前认知科学和神经科学的进一步发展，从新的角度在更高的层次重新触发了人们对认知抑制及其发展机制的兴趣，使之成为国际认知和认知发展领域正在迅速崛起的一个重要课题。从无意向抑制和有意抑制两个方面的介绍可了解认知和认知发展领域近期关于抑制及其发展研究的状况和进展。

当今世界正以前所未有的速度发生着各种各样的变化。一些大的趋向,即所谓的世界大趋势,在一定程度上影响每个人的生活。科学、技术和创新在这个不断变化的世界中发挥着重要作用。科学素养比以往任何时候都更加重要。科技博物馆和科学中心作为公众参与科学技术的重要角色,面临着一系列的机遇和挑战。在不断变化的世界里,它们在提高公众科学素养方面能发挥什么作用?如何使它们在提高科学素养方面更具相关性和影响力?本文通过分析当前世界在全球化、人口变化、技术变革、信息爆炸、可持续发展等方面的现实,论述科学素养的必要性以及科技博物馆和科学中心在变化的世界中应该如何发挥作用。     

中国经济转型中公共物品提供机制的演变与改革

我国经济转型时期的公共物品供给严重不足，一方面是由于财政支出中用于基本公共物品的支出未得到相应提高，政府退出一部分微观经济领域的同时，提供公共物品方面的职能没有得到及时加强；另一方面是由于大多数领域的公共物品提供主体单一的状况没有根本改变，基本上仍然由政府来提供。要改变这种状况，就要调整财政支出结构，适当增加对科教卫、社会保障、基础设施和政权建设等基础性公共物品的支出，并改变政府在提供中的角色和方式，即由以直接提供为主转变为以间接提供为主。

Abstract

This paper addresses some to the problems associated with the ability of elementary school children to successfully retrieve material in the school library media center using either the card or computer catalogues and presents some alternative methods of classification which may help to alleviate these problems. Primary objectives of the paper include inquiry into the need for an alternative method of classification for children, whether children of elementary school age have the ability to successfully use a system of classification, the extent to which the use of colors and/or symbols as search aides may facilitate children/s search efforts and the steps involved in the evolution of such an alternative classification system. Several case studies are examined and a detailed case study of The Common School Library in Amherst, Massachusetts is presented. Findings of this study indicate that children do have the ability to use a classification system which is designed in keeping with their developmental level and that the use of colors and/or symbols as supplementary search tools does facilitate children/s search efforts. The author also presents recommendations regarding the use of alternative systems of classification with other segments of the population who may have difficulty using standard means of library classification.
