Cognitive radio (CR) with spectrum‐sharing feature is a promising technique to address the spectrum under‐utilization problem in dynamically changing environments. In this paper, the achievable capacity gain of spectrum‐sharing systems over dynamic fading environments is studied. To perform a general analysis, a theoretical fading model called hyper‐fading model that is suitable to the dynamic nature of CR channel is proposed. Closed‐form expressions of probability density function (PDF) and cumulative density function (CDF) of the signal‐to‐noise ratio (SNR) for secondary users (SUs) in spectrum‐sharing systems are derived. In addition, the capacity gains achievable with spectrum‐sharing systems in high and low power regions are obtained. The effects of different fading figures, average fading powers, interference temperatures, peak powers of secondary transmitters, and numbers of SUs on the achievable capacity are investigated. The analytical and simulation results show that the fading figure of the channel between SUs and primary base‐station (PBS), which describes the diversity of the channel, does not contribute significantly to the system performance gain. In this study, the activity concentrations of some radionuclides in tap water samples of the Eastern Black Sea region of Turkey were measured. The activity concentrations of radionuclides (214)Pb, (214)Bi, (40)K, (226)Ra and (137)Cs were determined using high resolution gamma ray spectrometry. Furthermore, (222)Rn activity concentrations in tap water samples were measured using Liquid Scintillation Counting. The mean specific activities of (214)Pb, (214)Bi, (226)Ra, (40)K, (137)Cs and (222)Rn in tap water samples were 6.73, 6, 19.16, 168.57, 5.45 mBq l(-1) and 10.82 Bq l(-1), respectively. These values are comparable with concentrations reported for other countries. The effective doses were determined due to intake of these radionuclides as a consequence of direct consumption of tap water samples. The estimated effective doses were 6.878 x 10(-4) microSv y(-1) for (214)Pb, 4.800 x 10(-4) microSv y(-1) for (214)Bi, 3.916 microSv y(-1) for (226)Ra, 0.763 microSv y(-1) for (40)K, 0.052 microSv y(-1) for (137)Cs and 5.848 microSv y(-1) for (222)Rn. 相似文献

The removal of COD and oil-grease from dairy wastewater was experimentally investigated using direct current (DC) electrocoagulation (EC). In the EC of dairy wastewater, the effects of initial pH, electrolysis time, initial concentration of COD, conductivity and current density were examined. The COD and oil-grease in the aqueous phase were effectively removed when iron was used as sacrificial anode. The optimum operating range for each operating variable was experimentally determined. The batch experimental results revealed that COD and oil-grease in aqueous phase was effectively removed. The overall COD and oil-grease removal efficiencies reached 98 and 99%, respectively. The optimum current density, pH and electrolysis time for 18,300 mg COD/L and 4570 mg oil-grease/L were 0.6 mA/cm2, 7 and 1 min, respectively. Mean energy consumption was 0.003 kWh/kg of COD. 相似文献

This paper reviews the production and characterization of biodiesel (BD or B) as well as the experimental work carried out by many researchers in this field. BD fuel is a renewable substitute fuel for petroleum diesel or petrodiesel (PD) fuel made from vegetable or animal fats. BD fuel can be used in any mixture with PD fuel as it has very similar characteristics but it has lower exhaust emissions. BD fuel has better properties than that of PD fuel such as renewable, biodegradable, non-toxic, and essentially free of sulfur and aromatics. There are more than 350 oil bearing crops identified, among which only sunflower, safflower, soybean, cottonseed, rapeseed and peanut oils are considered as potential alternative fuels for diesel engines. The major problem associated with the use of pure vegetable oils as fuels, for Diesel engines are caused by high fuel viscosity in compression ignition. Dilution, micro-emulsification, pyrolysis and transesterification are the four techniques applied to solve the problems encountered with the high fuel viscosity. Dilution of oils with solvents and microemulsions of vegetable oils lowers the viscosity, some engine performance problems still exist. The viscosity values of vegetable oils vary between 27.2 and 53.6 mm2/s whereas those of vegetable oil methyl esters between 3.59 and 4.63 mm2/s. The viscosity values of vegetable oil methyl esters highly decreases after transesterification process. Compared to no. 2 diesel fuel, all of the vegetable oil methyl esters were slightly viscous. The flash point values of vegetable oil methyl esters are highly lower than those of vegetable oils. An increase in density from 860 to 885 kg/m3 for vegetable oil methyl esters or biodiesels increases the viscosity from 3.59 to 4.63 mm2/s and the increases are highly regular. The purpose of the transesterification process is to lower the viscosity of the oil. The transesterfication of triglycerides by methanol, ethanol, propanol and butanol, has proved to be the most promising process. Methanol is the commonly used alcohol in this process, due in part to its low cost. Methyl esters of vegetable oils have several outstanding advantages among other new-renewable and clean engine fuel alternatives. The most important variables affecting the methyl ester yield during the transesterification reaction are molar ratio of alcohol to vegetable oil and reaction temperature. Biodiesel has become more attractive recently because of its environmental benefits. Biodiesel is an environmentally friendly fuel that can be used in any diesel engine without modification. 相似文献

We report a novel, green, scalable technique to synthesize binder-free, high-purity conductive composite comprising activated carbon (AC), manganese dioxide nanorods (MnO2), and reduced graphene oxide sheets (rGO) for flexible supercapacitors with outstanding electrochemical performance. UV pulsed laser irradiation of GO-based composite dispersion (AC/GO or MnO2@AC/GO) in ethanol aqueous medium was used to induce a photocatalytic reduction of GO and simultaneous anchor AC particles or AC loaded MnO2 nanorods (MnO2@AC) on the reduced GO sheets (rGO) at room temperature and atmospheric pressure. rGO sheets serve as a large surface area, conductive binder to enhance the ion adsorption, electrical conductivity, and mechanical flexibility of supercapacitor electrodes. This laser-induced photocatalytic reduction method was used to prepare two different rGO-based colloidal composites AC/rGO (CG) and MnO2@AC/rGO (MCG). The prepared rGO-based colloidal composites were used to fabricate symmetric supercapacitors (CG//CG and MCG//MCG) and asymmetric supercapacitors (MCG//CG) in which MCG is the positive electrode and CG is the negative one. All prepared rGO-based supercapacitors demonstrated significant improvement in their electrochemical performance compared with rGO-free AC based supercapacitors. The enhancement in the electrochemical properties of rGO-based supercapacitors could be attributed to the intrinsic characteristics of rGO, such as high surface area, excellent electrical conductivity, and super mechanical flexibility. Our approach is a one-step, scalable, cost-effective synthesis technique to produce all binder-free AC/rGO based composites for flexible energy-storage devices. 相似文献

Polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) residues in food are an important food safety concern. Simple and sensitive analytical methods are needed to monitor PCB residues and ensure that food is safe for consumption. The aim of this study was to adapt a selective, sensitive, quick, and easy sample treatment for purification of animal fat matrices and to measure the level of PCB28, PCB52, PCB101, PCB118, PCB138, PCB153, and PCB180 in samples of meat products (salami, soudjouk, and sausage) produced in Turkey. The extraction and purification of meat products were performed via the modified quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged, and safe (QuEChERS) method and PCB levels determined by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry. The linearity was satisfactory for all compounds studied, with correlation coefficients ≥0.99. The limits of determination and the limits of quantification were in the range of 0.144–0.382 and 0.479–1.274 ng g?1, respectively. Recovery at 3 different spiking concentrations was 95.7–101 % and the relative standard deviations were <3.5 %. This validated method was observed to be more economic and eco-friendly, as it uses a smaller volume of extraction solvents that are also less toxic. The validated method was successfully applied to the analysis of selected PCBs in meat products with satisfactory results. The method’s results indicated the presence of PCBs in some of the meat product samples, although the levels were below the maximum residue limit for food products of animal origin in Turkey (40 ng g?1 of fat), which is in accordance with EU and Turkish levels. 相似文献

Cyclic 1,3- diketones 1 are transformed into their 2,2-dimethylhydrazones 2 , which can be alkylated regio-selectively at different positions after mono-, di-, tri-, and tetrametalation. Monometalated C-2 unsubstituted hydrazones afford C-2 and N-alkylation, monometalated C-2 substituted hydrazones afford only C-2 alkylation. The regioselectivity of the alkylation of the polymetalated hydrazones follows Hauser's rule according to the sequence: NH- > C-4 Ha > C-5 > C-4 Hb. Hydrolysis of the product hydrazones 3–5 afforded mono- and polyalkylated 1,3- diketones 7 in good yields. 相似文献
