Antibacterial Co(II) and Ni(II) Complexes of N-(2-Furanylmethylene)-2-Aminothiadiazole and Role of SO(4), NO(3), C(2)O(4) and CH(3)CO(2) anions on Biological Properties

Co(II) and Ni(II) complexes with a Schiff base, N-(2-furanylmethylene)-2-aminothiadiazole have been prepared and characterized by their physical, spectral and analytical data. The synthesized Schiff-bases act as tridentate ligands during the complexation reaction with Co(II) and Ni(II. metal ions. They possess the composition [M(L)(2)]X(n) (where M=Co(II) or Ni(II), L=, X=NO(3) (-), SO(4) (2-), C(2)O(4) (2-) or CH(3)CO(2) (-) and n=1 or 2) and show an octahedral geometry. In order to evaluate the effect of anions upon chelation, the Schiff-base and its complexes have been screened for antibacterial activity against bacterial strains e.g., Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.     

Multi-view document clustering via ensemble method

Multi-view clustering has become an important extension of ensemble clustering. In multi-view clustering, we apply clustering algorithms on different views of the data to obtain different cluster labels for the same set of objects. These results are then combined in such a manner that the final clustering gives better result than individual clustering of each multi-view data. Multi view clustering can be applied at various stages of the clustering paradigm. This paper proposes a novel multi-view clustering algorithm that combines different ensemble techniques. Our approach is based on computing different similarity matrices on the individual datasets and aggregates these to form a combined similarity matrix, which is then used to obtain the final clustering. We tested our approach on several datasets and perform a comparison with other state-of-the-art algorithms. Our results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms several other methods in terms of accuracy while maintaining the overall complexity of the individual approaches.     

Dynamic Prediction based Multi Queue (DPMQ) drop policy for probabilistic routing protocols of delay tolerant network

Two most important issues should be considered to achieve data delivery in DTN networking: routing protocols for the network and intelligent buffer management policy for everyone node in the network. The routing scheme decides which messages should be forwarded when nodes meet, and the buffer management policy determines which message is purged when the buffer overflows in a node. This study proposes a buffer management policy named as Dynamic Prediction based Multi Queue (DPMQ) for probabilistic routing protocols. It works by classification of local buffer into three queues of messages, which are DCTL, HPTL and LPTL. The simulation results have proven that the DPMQ performs well as compared to DLA, DOA, MOFO, LIFO, LEPR and LIFO in terms of reducing the message relay, message drop, hop counts average and overhead while rising in the delivery probability.
