We demonstrate that domain structure of single-layer graphene grown by ambient pressure chemical vapor deposition is strongly dependent on the crystallinity of the Cu catalyst. Low energy electron microscopy analysis reveals that graphene grown using a Cu foil gives small and mis-oriented graphene domains with a number of domain boundaries. On the other hand, no apparent domain boundaries are observed in graphene grown over a heteroepitaxial Cu(111) film deposited on sapphire due to unified orientation of graphene hexagons. The difference in the domain structures is correlated with the difference in the crystal plane and grain structure of the Cu metal. The graphene film grown on the heteroepitaxial Cu film exhibits much higher carrier mobility than that grown on the Cu foil.  相似文献

β‐Methylglycidyl ethers have been applied to Electrical and Electronic adhesives. However, there is no report about the detailed polymerization behavior and physical properties of their cured products. Hence, we investigated cationic polymerization behavior of bisphenol A di(β‐methylglycidyl) ether (Me‐BADGE) and physical properties of the cured products containing Me‐BADGE. DSC analysis suggested that Me‐BADGE could be cured completely at lower temperature than bisphenol A diglycidyl ether (BADGE). Physical properties were analyzed by dynamic viscoelastic analysis. Glass transition temperature (Tg) of BADGE homopolymer was 194°C. In contrast, the copolymer of BADGE (50 wt %) with Me‐BADGE (50 wt %) showed Tg at 124°C. According to the data of E’ and tan δ, crosslink density of the cured products decreased with increasing the Me‐BADGE content. The analysis of cationic polymerization of monofunctional β‐methylglycidyl ether suggested that the cationic polymerization proceeded not only through oxonium cation but also through carbocation formed by ring‐opening reaction of oxonium cation. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Understanding the genetic factors of diabetes is essential for addressing the global increase in type 2 diabetes. HNF1A mutations cause a monogenic form of diabetes called maturity-onset diabetes of the young (MODY), and HNF1A single-nucleotide polymorphisms are associated with the development of type 2 diabetes. Numerous studies have been conducted, mainly using genetically modified mice, to explore the molecular basis for the development of diabetes caused by HNF1A mutations, and to reveal the roles of HNF1A in multiple organs, including insulin secretion from pancreatic beta cells, lipid metabolism and protein synthesis in the liver, and urinary glucose reabsorption in the kidneys. Recent studies using human stem cells that mimic MODY have provided new insights into beta cell dysfunction. In this article, we discuss the involvement of HNF1A in beta cell dysfunction by reviewing previous studies using genetically modified mice and recent findings in human stem cell-derived beta cells.  相似文献

In this work, 3D printable gel polymer electrolytes (GPEs) based on N,N‐dimethylacrylamide (DMAAm) and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) in lithium chloride containing ethylene glycol solution are synthesized and their physicochemical properties are investigated. 3D printing is carried out with a customized stereolithography type 3D gel printer named “Soft and Wet Intelligent Matter‐Easy Realizer” and free forming GPE samples having variable shapes and sizes are obtained. Printed PVDF/PDMAAm‐based GPEs exhibit tunable mechanical properties and favorable thermal stability. Electrochemical proprieties of the printed GPEs are carried out via impedance spectroscopy in the temperature range of 25–90 °C by varying PVDF content. Ionic conductivity as high as 6.5 × 10?4 S cm?1 is achieved at room temperature for GPE containing low PVDF content (5 wt%) and conductivity of the GPEs is increased as temperature rises.  相似文献

A mixture of oil/ethanol (1∶3, w/w) was shaken at 30°C with 4% immobilized Candida antarctica lipase by weight of the reaction mixture. The reaction regiospecifically converted FA at the 1- and 3-positions to FA ethyl esters, and the lipase acted on C14−C24 FA to a similar degree. The content of 2-MAG reached a maximum after 4 h; the content was 28–29 mol% based on the total amount of FA in the reaction mixture at 59–69% ethanolysis. Only 2-MAG were present in the reaction mixture during the first 4 h, and 1(3)-MAG were detected after 7 h. After removal of ethanol from the 4-h reaction mixture by evaporation, 2-MAG were fractionated by silica gel column chromatography. The contents of FA in the 2-MAG obtained by ethanolysis of several oils coincided well with FA compositions at the 2-position, which was analyzed by Grignard degradation. It was shown that ethanolysis of oil with C. antarctica lipase can be applied to analysis of FA composition at the 2-position in TAG.  相似文献

This study was undertaken to assess in vivo the corrosion in two commercial nickel–titanium (NiTi) orthodontic archwires removed from the oral cavity of patients using fluoride mouthwashes. Five volunteers took part in this study on the corrosion behavior of two brands of NiTi archwires (3M and AO (brand of archwire)) during use of two mouthwashes with neutral sodium fluoride 1.1%, one with acidulated fluoride 1.1%, and one with placebo and a control group. Each patient used one mouthwash in three different periods of time for 1 min a day for 30 days. The archwires were assessed with scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy for qualitative and quantitative analysis. The values obtained with atomic force microscopy (AFM) were submitted to normality test, two‐way analysis of variance, and Tukey's test at a significance level of 5%. The AFM images showed a gradual qualitative increase in the roughness of both types of wire between the treatments: control < placebo < neutral fluoride < acidulated fluoride. The arithmetic average of the roughness and root mean square of the roughness were similar. As for 3M archwires, only the acidulated fluoride group differed statistically from the others. As for AO archwires, the control and placebo groups did not differ from each other, but differed from the other fluoride treatments. The group using neutral fluoride also differed significantly from the acidulated fluoride group. 3M archwires were not affected by daily oral challenges. AO archwires were not affected by daily oral challenges either; their association with fluoride, either neutral or acidulated, increased their roughness.  相似文献

A detailed comparison of subharmonic synchronous and subharmonic hybrid mode-locking of a monolithic distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) laser operating at 33 GHz is presented. Optical injection at the 20th subharmonic frequency (1.65 GHz) has produced a locking range of 10 MHz with negligible amplitude modulation. In comparison, electrical injection at the 4th subharmonic frequency (5.83 GHz) has shown higher levels of amplitude modulation and a narrower locking range (4 MHz). While subharmonic hybrid mode-locking remains a simple and cost effective solution for the generation of low timing jitter high-repetition rate optical pulse trains, subharmonic synchronous mode-locking shows superior performance with regard to reduced amplitude modulation and larger locking range.  相似文献

This study examined the processing and mechanical properties of cross-ply and quasi-isotropic composite laminates processed using aligned multi-walled carbon nanotube/epoxy prepreg sheets. Three kinds of CNT/epoxy laminates, ([0°/90°]s, [60°/0°/?60°]s, [0°/45°/90°/?45°]s) were successfully fabricated using aligned CNT/epoxy prepreg sheets. The CNT volume fraction was approximately 10%. No visible void or delamination was observed in composite laminates, and the thickness of each layer was almost equal to that of the prepreg. To evaluate the elastic moduli, E11, E22, and G12, of each ply in the laminates, on-axis and off-axis tensile tests (0°, 45°, 90°) were conducted of aligned CNT/epoxy lamina specimens. The Young’s modulus of CNT/epoxy cross-ply and quasi-isotropic laminates agreed with the theoretical values, which were calculated using classical laminate theory and elastic moduli of CNT/epoxy lamina. The respective failure strains of [0°/90°]s, [60°/0°/?60°]s, and [0°/45°/90°/?45°]s laminates are 0.65, 0.92, 0.63%, which are higher than that of 0° composite lamina (0.5%). Results suggest that the failure strain of 0° layer in composite laminates is improved because of the other layers.  相似文献

A new tomographic reconstruction method is proposed which permits the reconstruction of a region of interest within a slice from partially truncated scanning data. This method utilizes two types of source data, namely a series of truncated projections and the outline of the object's cross section. The principle of this algorithm is to estimate the outside area of truncation in one projection from the projection data of the other viewing angles and the outline data of the object. The above estimation is accomplished by following two repeated procedures: 1) the modification of the calculated projection data compared each time with the already measured projection data of the truncated area, and 2) the modification of the reconstructed image compared also each time with the shape of the object. Computer simulation shows the convergence of the results obtained by this algorithm thus verifying its validity, and a reconstructed image after iterative processes exhibits good quality.  相似文献
