The water-in-oil emulsification characteristics and the adsorption properties of DAG at the oil/water interface were investigated for DAG having different FA compositions. The water-retaining ability of DAG is dependent on the FA composition but is not dependent on the interfacial tension at the oil/water interface in a simple way. The water-retaining ability is very different between uni-chain DAG (two FA have the same chain length) and complex-chain DAG (one FA is oleic acid and the other has a shorter alkyl chain). Uni-chain DAG, having long FA chains (R=C12 or C18∶1) have the ability to emulsify water at the volume fraction of 80% (ϕ80%), but uni-chain DAG with short or medium chain-length FA (R=C3, C4, C6, C8) show little ability to retain water. For complex-chain DAG, all the DAG studied here (R1=C18∶1, R2=C2−C12) have the ability to emulsify water at ϕ80%. The stability of the emulsions, however, varies with the chain length of the R2 FA (R2 stability order: C2, C3>C18∶1, C10>C8>C4, C6). The relationship between the water-retaining ability and the molecular structure of DAG is discussed from the viewpoint of intra- and intermolecular interactions between the FA chains.  相似文献

Amorphous thin films of Ti1?ySiy(N,O) with y ≥ 0.38 were prepared by reactive sputter deposition in a nitrogen atmosphere. Thermal annealing of the films in an ammonia flow above 800°C yielded Si(N,O) amorphous thin films dispersed with precipitated TiN nanosized particles. The film color changed with Si content y and the annealing conditions, from carrot orange to cream yellow in the as‐deposited films due to their oxynitride nature, and from dark green to canary yellow and from iron blue to horizon blue at respective annealing temperatures of 800°C and 900°C due to metallic nature of the TiN nanosized particles precipitated in the annealing.  相似文献

The strong swirling flow at the exit of the runner of a Francis turbine at part load causes flow instabilities and cavitation surges in the draft tube, deteriorating the performance of the hydraulic power system. The unsteady cavitating turbulent flow in the draft tube is simplified and modeled by a diffuser with swirling flow using the Scale-adaptive simulation method. Unsteady characteristics of the vortex rope structure and the underlying mechanisms for the interactions between the cavitation and the vortices are both revealed. The generation and evolution of the vortex rope structures are demonstrated with the help of the iso-surfaces of the vapor volume fraction and the Qcriterion. Analysis based on the vorticity transport equation suggests that the vortex dilatation term is much larger along the cavity interface in the diffuser inlet and modifies the vorticity field in regions with high density and pressure gradients. The present work is validated by comparing two types of cavitation surges observed experimentally in the literature with further interpretations based on simulations.  相似文献

The maintaining of the chemical composition and electrical insulativity of SrTaO2N ceramics was investigated during sintering and annealing, using powders prepared by the nitridation of Sr2Ta2O7. Due to the low thermal stability of SrTaO2N, the partial loss of SrO and nitrogen induced the formation of a TaO0.9 impurity after heat‐treating at above 1100°C. The sintering additive SrCO3 and postannealing in NH3 were employed to compensate for the loss of SrO and nitrogen to obtain ceramics with the original chemical composition. The as‐sintered SrTaO2N ceramics with various relative density (RD) were annealed in NH3 to observe the recovery of color and electrical insulativity. It was found that the inner part of the well‐sintered samples with RD = 95.1% could not be recovered by annealing, and continued to exhibit semiconducting behavior and a black color. On the other hand, for the as‐sintered SrTaO2N ceramics with RD < 84%, both the nitrogen content and electrically insulating behavior were completely recovered after annealing. The postannealed SrTaO2N ceramics (RD = 83.3%) possessed a relatively large dielectric constant of 450 with a low dielectric loss of less than 0.1 at 100 Hz, almost independent of frequency and temperature.  相似文献

Reaction between epoxidized natural rubber and poly(L ‐lactide) (PLLA) was investigated quantitatively in terms of conversion of the epoxidized natural rubber. The epoxidized natural rubber was prepared by epoxidation of high ammonia natural rubber (HA‐NR) or deproteinized natural rubber (DPNR) with peracetic acid followed by depolymerization with ammonium persulfate. The resulting liquid HA‐NR having epoxy group (LENR) or liquid DPNR having epoxy group (LEDPNR) were subjected to heating at 473 K for 20 min, after blending with PLLA. The products were characterized through morphology observation, DSC measurement, and 1H‐NMR spectroscopy. The conversions of the rubbers were estimated from intensity ratio of signals in 1H‐NMR spectrum for the products after removing unreacted rubber with toluene. Difference in the estimated conversion between the LENR/PLLA and LEDPNR/PLLA blends was interpreted in relation to proteins present in the rubber. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this article, a genetic algorithm is applied to an optimization problem of material composition for a plate of step-formed functionally graded materials. The step-formed functionally graded plate is analyzed as a laminated composite plate made of numerous layers with homogeneous and different isotropic material properties. First, the onedimensional transient temperature distribution for a laminated plate is analyzed theoret ically. In addition, the thermal stress components for such an infinitely long plate are formulated under the mechanical condition of being traction-free. As a numerical example, a plate composed of zirconium oxide and titanium alloy is considered. In addition, for the optimization problem of minimizing the thermal stress distribution, the numerical calculations are made using a genetic algorithm without supposing a distribution function of material composition and the optimal material composition of each layer is determined taking into account the effect of the temperature dependency of material properties. Furthermore, the results obtained when a distribution function isn't specified and the results found when a distribution function is specified are compared.  相似文献

The Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA) has started to study and develop zirconium carbide (ZrC)-coated fuel particles for advanced high-temperature gas-cooled reactors. The ZrC coating layer has been fabricated at JAEA by chemical vapor deposition using a pyrolytic reaction of zirconium bromide. The microstructures of the ZrC layers, whose nominal deposition temperatures could be measured and controlled during the deposition process, were characterized by means of TEM and STEM. In the present study, three batches were prepared and compared with each other as well as the previous batches. The crystallographic orientation of ZrC with regard to the growth direction in the ZrC layers deposited at a constant temperature of 1630 K was different from that deposited at varying temperatures in the 1493–1823 K range. A thin layer of turbostratic carbon was observed at the boundary between pyrolytic carbon and ZrC in particles deposited at the highest temperature among those used in this study (the nominal temperature was 1769 K); no such structure was found in a batch deposited at a lower temperature (the nominal temperature was 1632 K). Therefore, precise control of temperature is shown to be critical to the formation of good ZrC coatings.  相似文献

In this study, a new marine oil that contains 45% docosahexaenoic acid (DHA, 22∶6n−3) and 13% docosapentaenoic acid (DPA, 22∶5n−6) was administered to rats. The metabolism and distribution of DPA in rats was investigated. In experiment 1, the effects of DHA and n−6 fatty acids (linoleic acid, I A; arachidonic acid, AA; and DPA) on AA contents were investigated in vivo. LA group: LA 25%, DHA 30%; LA-DPA group: LA 15%, DPA 10%, DHA 35%; LA-AA-DPA group: LA 10%, AA 5%, DPA 10%, DHA 35% were administered to rats for 4 wk. In the liver, the AA content in the LA-DPA and LA-AA-DPA groups was significantly higher than in the LA group. The decreased AA contents in the LA group might be caused by DHA administration. Although DHA also was administered in the LA-DPA and LA-AA-DPA groups, the AA contents in these two groups did not decrease. These results suggested that DPA retroconverted to AA, blunting the decrease in AA content caused by DHA administration. To conduct a detailed investigation on DPA metabolism and its relation with AA and DHA, rat hepatocytes were cultured with pruified DPA and DHA for 24 h. We discovered the retroconversion of DPA to AA occurred only when AA content was decreased by a high DHA administration; it did not occur when AA content was maintained at a normal level.  相似文献

We have performed scanning tunneling microscopy/spectroscopy (STM/STS) on single crystals of heavily Pb-doped Bi 2 Sr 2 CaCu 2 O y (Pb-Bi2212). The obtained STM images clearly demonstrated phase separation into the and phases with lamella-type and new zigzag-like microstructures. From the site-specified tunneling measurements, it was directly confirmed that the phase possesses higher T c . This suggests that the phase boundaries act as strong pinning sites especially at higher temperatures.  相似文献
