An organic–inorganic nanohybrid nanocomposite was synthesized by co-precipitation method using beta-naphthoxyacetate (BNOA) as guest anion and zinc–aluminium layered double hydroxide (Zn–Al-LDH) as the inorganic host. A well-ordered nanohybrid nanocomposite was formed when the concentration of BNOA was 0.08 M and the molar ratio of Zn to Al, R = 2. Basal spacing of layered double hydroxide containing nitrate ions expanded from 8.9 to 19.5 Å in resulting of Zn–Al-BNOA nanocomposite was obtained indicates that beta-naphthoxyacetate was successfully intercalated into interlayer spaces of layered double hydroxide. It was also found out the BET surface area increased from 1.13 to 42.79 m2 g?1 for Zn–Al-LDH and Zn–Al-BNOA nanocomposite, respectively. The BJH average pore diameter of the synthesized nanocomposite is 199 Å which shows mesoporous-type of material. CHNS analysis shows the Zn–Al-BNOA nanocomposite material contains 36.2 % (w/w) of BNOA calculated based on the percentage of carbon in the sample. Release of BNOA from the lamella of Zn–Al-BNOA was controlled by the zeroth and first order kinetics at the beginning of the deintercalation process up to 200 min and controlled by pseudo-second order kinetics for the whole process. This study suggests that layered double hydroxide can be used as a carrier for organic acid herbicide controlled release formulation of BNOA.  相似文献

In this study, the phase inversion-based co-extrusion method was employed to fabricate a structural-improved electrolyte/anode dual-layer hollow fiber (HF) precursor, which was then co-sintered at 1450 °C. The electrolyte structures were thoroughly investigated by varying the loading of electrolyte material (i.e. Yttria-stabilized zirconia, YSZ) with differing particle sizes (i.e. micron, sub-micron, and nano-sized) during suspension preparation. The results showed that the most promising electrolyte layer with thin, dense, gas-tight, and defect-free properties was obtained by mixing 70% submicron-YSZ and 30% nano-YSZ in electrolyte suspension (E-0.7sub0.3nano). This electrolyte formulation co-extruded with a thick nickel-oxide-YSZ (NiO-YSZ) anode layer yielded the highest bending strength of 85 MPa, providing major mechanical strength to the HF. Besides that, the nitrogen permeability value at 2.87 × 10?6 mol m?2 s?1 Pa?1 suggested that the electrolyte was gas-tight, preventing fuel and oxidant transport. The fiber was then reduced to nickel (Ni)-cermet anode. It was developed to be a complete micro-tubular solid oxide fuel cell (MT-SOFC) by depositing the lanthanum strontium cobalt ferrite (LSCF)/YSZ cathode via brush painting on the dual-layer HF. The cell was fed with hydrogen gas and yielded an open-circuit voltage (OCV) as high as 1.06 V with maximum power density of 0.243 W cm?2, at 875 °C. Based on this test, it was found that the electrolyte structural-modified dual-layer hollow fiber-based MT-SOFC using mixed particle sizes may result in a promising OCV. However, the relatively low value for power density may be due to a less porous anode; thus, improvements in the anode's structure are required in future research.  相似文献

The modification of liquid natural rubber (LNR) has attracted interests among chemists as it brings improvements to several of its properties and widens its application to various fields. LNR can be modified into fluorinated LNR (F-LNR) which is of interest to industries due to its remarkable properties, including low surface energies, high thermal stabilities, together with its significant hydrophobic characters. In this work, a new route to prepare fluorinated rubber was presented. Hydroxylated LNR (OH-LNR) was initially synthesized in good yield via oxidation in the presence of tungsten complex catalyst and acetic acid with hydrogen peroxide as an oxidant. The optimum hydroxyl content of 57.0% was obtained within 6 h reaction time at 90 °C. In the second step, the esterification of OH-LNR using pentadecafluorooctanoyl chloride (PDFOC) under mild conditions was conducted, leading to LNR bearing fluoro groups in the side chain of LNR (F-LNR). ATR-FTIR spectroscopy was used to elucidate the structure and determine any changes in the functional groups that may have been induced during the reaction. 1H NMR spectroscopy was employed to reveal that a high fluorine content of 48.6% was obtained using 3:1 molar ratio of OH-LNR:PDFOC for 8 h at 50 °C. The microstructure of F-LNR was further analyzed using 19F NMR and 13C NMR spectroscopies, and the results confirmed the presence of fluorine in LNR. Thermogravimetric analyses also indicated that the modification improved thermal stability of the LNR. Contact angle measurements were also conducted to verify the hydrophobicity of the fluorinated rubber and the results obtained showed that F-LNR exhibited higher hydrophobicity than LNR.  相似文献

An environmental friendly regenerated cellulose membrane (RCM) was successfully prepared via NaOH/urea aqueous solution system by utilizing recycled newspaper (RNP) as the cellulose source. The morphological and chemical structure of resulting membrane were characterized using scanning electron microscopy (SEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, X‐ray diffraction (XRD) spectroscopy, and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). Results from FTIR and XRD verified that the transparent RCM possesses cellulose II structure. SEM observation revealed that the transparent RCM consist of homogeneous dense symmetric membrane structure and composed of a skin layer with mean roughness parameter Ra, obtained from AFM analysis of 29.53 nm. Pure water flux, water content, water contact angle, porosity, and pore size of the resulting membrane were also measured. This study promotes the potential of the cellulose‐based membrane obtained from low cost cellulose source for application in filtration and separation system. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Appl. Three types of microwave-assisted diluted solvents were employed using 0.1 N H2SO4 (MSA), 0.1 N NaOH (MSH), and 0.01 N NaHCO3 (MSB). These solvents were evaluated as possible pretreatment routes for sago palm bark (SPB) with their effects on the pretreated substrate. A variety of analyses, consisting of fiber analysis, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), X-ray fluorescence spectrometer (XRF), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), scanning electron microscope (SEM), and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), were performed to understand the pretreatment effects on the chemical and physical characteristics of SPB and pretreatment liquor. The thermal analysis has revealed that higher hemicellulose degradation was also found in MSA pretreatment. In the analyses of the pretreatment liquid for the extracted monomeric sugar, a higher amount of glucose was found (9 mg/g) using MSH pretreatment and the highest xylose level was found (4 mg/g) using MSA pretreatment. The analysis of the formation of inhibitors has shown that acetic acid was only found in the MSH pretreatment.  相似文献

Sugarcane bagasse (SB) is one of the most abundant food wastes. In this research, SB was incorporated into the development of noodles at three different ratios, i.e. 5%, 10% and 15%. Total dietary fibre of noodles significantly increased from 3.39% (control noodles; – without SB) to 13.85% with 15% SB incorporation. All SB incorporated noodles (SBNs) were qualified to be labelled as ‘High in dietary fibre’. The 15% SBN had the highest fibre content and lowest dialyzable glucose, but the organoleptic properties were the lowest. Due to that, 5% SBN was deemed to be the most suitable ratio for noodles incorporation, as it had the closest value towards the commercial noodles in terms of colour, texture, fibre content and dialyzable glucose concentration of noodles samples. In terms of sensory evaluation, the 5% SBN had the highest overall acceptability, and the ratio was suitable for noodles development.  相似文献
