A method for estimation of ability using pseudocounts in dichotomous item response models is given when associated item parameters are known or estimated by a separate calibration sample of examinees with the size of an appropriate order. The pseudocount minimizing the asymptotic mean square error is algebraically obtained. Though the pseudocount depends on unknown ability, a fixed lower bound for the pseudocount is derived under the logistic model with equivalent items. The lower bound is numerically shown to be reasonable under the 3-parameter logistic model with and without model misspecification.

The purpose of the present study was to determine whether cerebral hyperperfusion after revascularization inhibits development of cerebral ischemic lesions due to artery-to-artery emboli during exposure of the carotid arteries in carotid endarterectomy (CEA). In patients undergoing CEA for internal carotid artery stenosis (≥70%), cerebral blood flow (CBF) was measured using single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) before and immediately after CEA. Microembolic signals (MES) were identified using transcranial Doppler during carotid exposure. Diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DWI) was performed within 24 h after surgery. Of 32 patients with a combination of reduced cerebrovascular reactivity to acetazolamide on preoperative brain perfusion SPECT and MES during carotid exposure, 14 (44%) showed cerebral hyperperfusion (defined as postoperative CBF increase ≥100% compared with preoperative values), and 16 (50%) developed DWI-characterized postoperative cerebral ischemic lesions. Postoperative cerebral hyperperfusion was significantly associated with the absence of DWI-characterized postoperative cerebral ischemic lesions (95% confidence interval, 0.001–0.179; p = 0.0009). These data suggest that cerebral hyperperfusion after revascularization inhibits development of cerebral ischemic lesions due to artery-to-artery emboli during carotid exposure in CEA, supporting the “impaired clearance of emboli” concept. Blood pressure elevation following carotid declamping would be effective when embolism not accompanied by cerebral hyperperfusion occurs during CEA.  相似文献

Fluorine compounds have high discharge voltage due to its highly ionic metal-ligand bonds. In them, perovskite-type metal trifluorides with corner sharing matrix have large bottlenecks of diffusion pathways for intercalants. Iron trifluoride composites (FeF3-C) prepared by planetary ball milling with carbon showed reversible charge/discharge behavior not only for Li, but also for Na anodes. X-ray diffraction and 57Fe Mössbauer spectroscopy were applied to characterize the electrochemical properties of FeF3 vs. Li and Na anodes. The cathode performances of the other commercially available transition metal trifluorides such as MF3 (M = Ti, V, Mn, Co) have been also investigated.  相似文献

The authors describe a brushless DC motor without a position sensor. Variable speed is achieved by adjusting the average motor voltage, just like chopper control of DC motors. The position sensorless drive proposed is based on detection of the conducting interval of free-wheeling diodes connected in antiparallel with power transistors. This approach makes it possible to detect the rotor position over a wide speed range, especially at a lower speed. Experimental results obtained from a prototype brushless DC motor of 300 W rating are shown to confirm the validity of the sensorless drive from 45 to 2300 r/min. A starting procedure of the motor is also discussed because it is impossible to detect the rotor position at standstill  相似文献

The circadian variation of urinary N-acetyl-beta-D-glucosaminidase (NAG, EC 3.2.1.30) and gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase (gamma-GTP, EC 2.3.2.2) was evaluated in cats. Urine and blood were collected at 4-hr intervals from adult cats (3 males, 9 females) weighing between 2.6 and 5.0 kg. There was no circadian variation in the urine volume, creatinine clearance, creatinine excretion, NAG excretion or gamma-GTP excretion. The average NAG and gamma-GTP indices in the 4-hr urine were similar to those for the 24-hr urine. However, the variance for the 4-hr urine samples was higher than that of 24-hr urine. In conclusion, although 4-hr urine samples can be used to estimate 24-hr urinary enzyme excretion, short-term spot urine samples may cause increased variation in the enzyme index.  相似文献

The influence of oscillating magnetic fields on the dc transport current in a single core superconducting wire has been studied by observing the terminal voltage of the wire. The voltage versus oscillating field characteristics can be explained quantitatively by a theoretical analysis based on the critical state model. The analysis shows that the voltage measurement gives detailed information on the change of the distribution of the magnetic induction inside the superconductor. An effective resistance appears in the transport current loop when the amplitude of the oscillating field exceeds a certain threshold value. The dependence of the effective resistance on the amplitude and frequency of the oscillating field and on the conductor diameter is discussed.  相似文献

This paper describes some results of an analytical calculation and the measurements of a pulsed field loss on the Japanese LCT conductor. The conductor, whose aspect ratio is around 2.5, is wound edge wise to reduce the pulsed field loss. The Japanese LCT coil, with the conductor thus designed, was evaluated to have a pulsed field loss of about 19W. This includes the loss of the helium vessel under the normal LCT test with a pulsed field of 0 to 0.14T. In addition, the loss measurement has been carried out up to 25 T/s. Measured results on the relation between the loss of a single strand and that of a whole strand pack well supports the validity of the loss analysis which includes a newly arranged set of analytical equations.  相似文献

When acoustic waves were applied to the solid-liquid interface of 4He perpendicularly, from the solid side, the solid was megted at high temperatures and grown at low temperatures. This means that the direction of the force on the interface was inverted at an inversion temperature, T i. We attributed this effect to the acoustic radiation pressure, which induced crystallization and megting [Phys. Rev. Lett. 90, 075301, (2003)]. Temperature dependence of the interface motion by acoustic waves was investigated in several surface orientations. Anisotropy of T i was found and T i was lower on a vicinal surface than on a rough surface.  相似文献

The present work investigates the tensile creep behavior (deformation and rupture) at 1100–1300°C in air of a 3-D woven Si-Ti-C-O (Tyranno) fiber/SiC-based matrix composite with and without glass sealant. The composite contained Si-Ti-C-O fibers with an additional surface modification in order to improve interface properties. Although a significant decrease in tensile strength was observed in the unsealed composite beyond 1000°C in air (and attributed to oxidation of the fiber/matrix interface), the composite with glass sealant possessed excellent mechanical properties for short-term (<1 hr.) exposure in air. In this study, tensile creep testing was conducted at 1100–1300°C in air and the effect of glass sealant on medium- and long-term strength was investigated. In addition, chemical stability of the glass sealant was evaluated by X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD) and energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer (EDS). The creep rupture behavior of the composite with glass sealant under long-term exposure is suggested to depend on several factors including decomposition, evaporation, and crystallization of the glass sealant material, in addition to the applied stress.  相似文献
