There has been increasing interest in clean energy over past few years. Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) power plants have been examined as a viable option for supplying clean energy. This paper evaluated the thermodynamic performance of the OTEC power system. Computer simulation programs were developed under the same conditions but with various working fluids for a closed system, a regeneration system, an open system, a Kalina system, and a hybrid system. The results showed that the regeneration system using R125 showed a 0.17 to 1.56% increase in system efficiency. Moreover, the system can generate electricity when the difference in temperature between the warm and cold seawater inlet temperatures is greater than 15 °C. In addition, the system efficiency of OTEC power plants using the condenser effluent from a nuclear power plant instead of surface water was increased by approximately 2%. 相似文献

Effects of Particle Crushing in Stress Drop-Relaxation Experiments on Crushed Coral Sand 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Stress relaxation and stress drop-relaxation tests have been performed to complement a test series performed to study strain rate, creep, and stress drop-creep effects on crushed coral sand. Drained experiments with constant effective confining pressure of 200 kPa were performed in which triaxial specimens of crushed coral sand were loaded to initial stress differences of 500, 700, and 900 kPa, followed by stress drops of 0, 100, 200, 300, and 400 kPa at which points the axial strains were kept constant while the axial stress relaxation and the volumetric strains were observed. The stress drops produced delays in initiation of stress relaxation that were proportional with the magnitudes of the stress drops. The experiments show that sands do not exhibit classic viscous effects, and their behavior is indicated as “nonisotach,” while the typical viscous behavior of clay is termed “isotach.” Thus, there are significant differences in the time-dependent behavior patterns of sands and clay. A mechanistic picture of time effects in sands is proposed. 相似文献

The effect of test temperature on the intergranular cracking of Nb-A286 alloy in low cycle fatigue 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The continuous low cycle fatigue behaviors of a Fe-base superalloy, Nb-modified A286 alloy, have been evaluated at the test temperatures of 650°C and 350°C under various total strain ranges. It was found that the change of the slope in the Coffin–Manson plot was closely related to the fatigue cracking with the test temperature. In the high temperature low cycle fatigue (HTLCF) of Nb-A286 alloy, the fatigue cracking exhibited the intergranular mode at 650°C and the transgranular mode at 350°C. The intergranular fatigue cracking at 650°C was due to the precipitation of the phase at the grain boundary assisted by the applied stress during low cycle fatigue. It is investigated whether the precipitate at the grain boundary provides the site for the grain boundary cavitation, which induces the intergranular cracking in low cycle fatigue. This is confirmed by the results of low cycle fatigue at 25°C after heat treatment which forms the phase at the grain boundary. 相似文献

Three-dimensional thermoluminescence (TL) spectra based on temperature, wavelength and intensity for newly developed LiF:Mg,Cu,Na,Si TL material at the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) were measured and analysed. The glow curves were obtained by integration of luminescence intensity over all wavelengths at each temperature, and various trapping parameters related to the traps were determined by analysing these curves. A computerised glow curve deconvolution (CGCD) method which was based on the general order kinetics (GOK) model was used for the glow curve analysis. The glow curves of LiF:Mg,Cu,Na,Si TL material were deconvoluted to six isolated glow curves which have peak temperatures at 333, 374, 426, 466, 483 and 516 K. The main glow peak of peak temperature at 466 K had activation energy of 2.06 eV and a kinetic order of 1.05. This TL material was also found to have three recombination centres, 1.80 eV, 2.88 eV and 3.27 eV by analysis of the TL spectra. 相似文献

The flap-lag-torsion coupled aeroelastic behavior of a hingeless rotor blade with composite flexures in hovering flight has been investigated by using the finite element method. The quasi-steady strip theory with dynamic inflow effects is used to obtain the aerodynamic loads acting on the blade. The governing differential equations of motion undergoing moderately large displacements and rotations are derived using the Hamilton’s principle. The flexures used in the present model are composed of two composite plates which are rigidly attached together. The lead-lag flexure is located inboard of the flap flexure. A mixed warping model that combines the St. Venant torsion and the Vlasov torsion is developed to describe the twist behavior of the composite flexure. Numerical simulations are carried out to correlate the present results with experimental test data and also to identify the effects of structural couplings of the composite flexures on the aeroelastic stability of the blade. The prediction results agree well with other experimental data. The effects of elastic coupling such as pitch-flap, pitch-lag, and flap-lag couplings on the stability behavior of the composite blades are also investigated. 相似文献

Abstract— A novel active‐matrix organic light‐emitting‐diode (AMOLED) display employing a new current‐mirror pixel circuit, which requires four‐poly‐Si TFTs and one‐capacitor and no additional signal lines, has been proposed and sucessfully fabricated. The experimental results show that a new current mirror can considerably compensate luminance non‐uniformity and scale down a data current more than a conventional current‐mirror circuit in order to reduce the pixel charging time and increase the minimum data current. Compared with a conventional two‐TFT pixel, the luminance non‐uniformity induced by the grain boundaries of poly‐Si TFTs can be decreased considerably from 41% to 9.1%. 相似文献

Clozapine is an atypical antipsychotic agent that is more effective than the standard neuroleptics currently used for treating refractory schizophrenia. In addition, clozapine is a drug with few extrapyramidal side effects. However, clozapine is also associated with potentially serious adverse effects, such as cardiac complications as well as agranulocytosis. Clozapine-related cardiomyopathy has not been previously reported in East Asia. This report describes a 31-year-old Korean male patient with schizophrenia who developed dilated cardiomyopathy on treatment with clozapine. The removal of clozapine caused subsequent physical improvement. However, the readministration of clozapine for managing relapse of psychosis caused a recurrence of dilated cardiomyopathy in this patient. Therefore, this is the 1st report showing that the 2nd trial of clozapine caused recurrence of cardiomyopathy associated with clozapine. Thus, this report adds important support for a causal relation between clozapine and cardiac complications. In conclusion, this report attempts to raise awareness of clozapine-related cardiomyopathy.
