Biohybrid microbots integrate biological actuators and sensors into synthetic chassis with the aim of providing the building blocks of next-generation micro-robotics. One of the main challenges is the development of self-assembled systems with consistent behavior and such that they can be controlled independently to perform complex tasks. Herein, it is shown that, using light-driven bacteria as propellers, 3D printed microbots can be steered by unbalancing light intensity over different microbot parts. An optimal feedback loop is designed in which a central computer projects onto each microbot a tailor-made light pattern, calculated from its position and orientation. In this way, multiple microbots can be independently guided through a series of spatially distributed checkpoints. By exploiting a natural light-driven proton pump, these bio-hybrid microbots are able to extract mechanical energy from light with such high efficiency that, in principle, hundreds of these systems can be controlled simultaneously with a total optical power of just a few milliwatts.  相似文献

A facile spray pyrolysis route is used to deposit aluminium doped ZnO (AZO) thin films on to the glass substrates. It is observed that on aluminium doping the particle size of ZnO reduces significantly; moreover, uniformity of particle also gets enhanced. Their XRD study reveals that intensity ratio of crystal planes depend on the aluminium doping concentration. The gas response studies of; ∼800 nm thick Al-doped ZnO films at different operating temperatures show that 5 at% Al-doped ZnO thin film exhibits highest response towards H2S gas at 200 °C. The results suggest that the gas response strongly depends on the particle size and aluminium doping in the ZnO.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a methodology for automating the process planning and NC code generation for a widely encountered class of free-form features that can be machined on a 3-axis mill–turn center. The free-form feature family that is considered is that of extruded protrusions whose cross-section is a closed, periodic B-Spline curve. In this methodology, for machining a part with B-Spline protrusion located at the free end, the part is first rough turned to the maximum profile diameter of the B-Spline, followed by rough profile cutting and finish profiling with axially mounted end mill tools. The identification and sequencing of machining volumes is completely automated, as is the generation of actual NC code. The approach supports both convex and non-convex profiles. In the case of non-convex profiles, the process planning algorithm ensures that there is no gouging of the work piece by the tool. The algorithm also identifies when sections of the tool path lie outside the work piece and utilizes rapid traverses in these regions to reduce cutting time. This methodology presents an integrated turn–mill process planning where by making the process fully automated from design with no user intervention making the overall process planning efficient. The algorithm was tested on several examples and test parts using the unmodified NC code obtained from the implementation were run on a Moriseiki mill–turn center. The parts that were produced met the dimensional specifications of the desired part.  相似文献

Very recently, in order to unify the notions of fuzzy metric space and metric-like space, Shukla and Abbas introduced the concept of fuzzy metric-like space and proved some fixed-point results in this setting. In this article, we modify the notion of Cauchy sequence and completeness to generalize their results. Thus, we extend their theorems to a more general framework, which is also appropriate to generalize some recent, well-known results in this line of research. Furthermore, several examples are presented to illustrate the significance of our results.  相似文献

Dicalcium silicate is of vital importance in several fields of silicate science. It exists in several polymorphic forms, of which one (the-form) is stable at room temperature without any stabilizer. The-form is commonly found in ordinary portland cement (OPC) in association with stabilizing ions. Stabilization of other forms,,L,H andm for structural and other studies have been reported. Theoretical structural analysis using topology has been reported to be of value in understanding the stabilization process of the polymorphs. The conversion of form is at times a problem in the cement industry, in addition to the formation of unwanted compounds, such as spurrite. The-form is low in hydraulic properties but in the presence of impurities such as excess CaO over the stoichiometric ratio, shows fairly high hydraulic properties. Of the other phases, the hydraulic properties of the a forms are quite encouraging but the choice of stabilizers etc. plays a dominant role. Correlation of hydraulicity with structural properties such as crystal defects, etc., has been reported but satisfactory explanation is yet to come. The hydration products of-C2S are quite similar to those of C3S but the kinetics are fairly slow. In the presence of active silica, and at elevated temperatures, even the-form hydrates at a faster rate. The influence of chemical accelerators on the hydration of C2S at room temperature is well studied and NaF is found to be one of the best accelerators. The formation of reactive-C2S by different preparative methods shows a quite interesting trend for potential manufacture of low-temperature inorganic cement or OPC with low C3S; even utilization of low-grade limestone could be possible. The role of C2S in the hydration of aluminous cements is being increasingly recognized and, in fact, a newer class of cements called alumina-belite cement, etc., are being developed in which C2S is purposely maintained as a major phase.  相似文献

Achieving acceptable levels of sensitivity during online and/or onsite partial discharge (PD) measurements still continues to remain a very challenging task, primarily due to strong coupling of external (random, discrete spectral and stochastic pulsive) interferences. Many analog and digital approaches have been proposed for suppressing these interferences, and amongst these, rejection of the pulsive type of interferences is known to be very difficult, if not impossible. The time and frequency characteristics of the pulsive interference being very similar to that of the PD pulses is the main reason posing difficulty in their separation. In this paper, a novel, semi-automatic, and empirical wavelet-based method (using multi-resolution signal analysis) is proposed to recover PD pulses, buried in excessive noise/interference comprising of random, discrete spectral, pulsive, and any combination of these interferences occurring simultaneously and overlapping-in-time with the PD pulses. A critical assessment of the proposed method is carried out, by processing both simulated and practically acquired PD signals. The results obtained are also compared with those from the best digital filter (infinite impulse response, IIR and finite impulse response, FIR) method proposed in literature. From the results it emerges that, the wavelet approach is superior and further, has the unique capability of successfully rejecting all the three kinds of interferences, even when PD signals and one or all interferences occur simultaneously and overlap-in-time.  相似文献

In the request-based scheme, a patching channel is initiated on arrival of a request in an interarrival time of two adjacent multicast channels. If two requests are received in a short duration in an interarrival time, two patching channels are needed to service them. Both these channels deliver almost the same data, thus, wasting the bandwidth. This problem may be addressed in two ways: using higher level patching technique, or forcing the first request to wait for the second one. Using higher level patching technique makes the system more complex and thus usually not preferred. In the second case, the bandwidth usage certainly reduces, but the length of the waiting time by the first request for the second request is the main issue. In this paper, this issue is addressed by dividing the video duration into uniform time slots such that there is at least one request in a time slot for initiating the patching channel. The proposed scheme is named as Video Data Delivery using Slotted Patching. In this scheme, the patching channels download much less video data than the request-based scheme and thus require less bandwidth. This scheme may not provide immediate services to all users unlike the request-based scheme, but the user's waiting can be made arbitrarily small without using much resources unlike the request-based scheme.  相似文献

Personal mobility carbon allowance (PMCA) schemes are designed to reduce carbon consumption from transportation networks. PMCA schemes influence the travel decision process of users and accordingly impact the system metrics including travel time and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. We develop a multi-user class dynamic user equilibrium model to evaluate the transportation system performance when PMCA scheme is implemented. The results using Sioux-Falls test network indicate that PMCA schemes can achieve the emissions reduction goals for transportation networks. Further, users characterized by high value of travel time are found to be less sensitive to carbon budget in the context of work trips. Results also show that PMCA scheme can lead to higher emissions for a path compared with the case without PMCA because of flow redistribution. The developed network equilibrium model allows to examine the change in system states at different carbon allocation levels and to design parameters of PMCA schemes accounting for population heterogeneity.  相似文献
