Improved prevention and detection methods, as well as advances in medical treatment have resulted in a trend of increasing numbers of cancer survivors. Today, there are over 8 million cancer survivors, 5 million of whom were diagnosed 5 or more years ago. Cancer, once thought of as an acute disease, is increasingly being classified as a chronic disease. This article reviews physical, psychological, and social aspects of cancer survivorship, as well as other issues related to a diagnosis of cancer.  相似文献

The paper describes a receiver structure for the digital GSM mobile radio which is suitable for implementation using a DSP processor. This paper describes co-operative path planning of a group of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The problem undertaken for this study is that of simultaneous arrival on target of a group of UAVs. The problem of path planning is formulated in order to produce feasible (flyable and safe) paths and the solution is divided into three phases. The first phase is that of producing flyable paths, the second is to add extra constraints to produce safe paths that do not collide with other UAV members or with known obstacles in the environment, and the third is to produce paths for simultaneous arrival. In the first phase, Dubins paths with clothoid arcs are used to produce paths for each UAV. These paths are produced using the principles of differential geometry. The second phase manipulate these paths to make them safer by meeting safety constraints: (i) to maintain minimum separation distance, (ii) to produce non-intersection of paths at equal lengths, and (iii) to fly-through intermediate way-points/poses. Finally, in the third phase, the simultaneous arrival is achieved by making all the paths equal in lengths. Some simulation results are given to illustrate the technique.  相似文献

Eleven tone‐mapping operators intended for video processing are analyzed and evaluated with camera‐captured and computer‐generated high‐dynamic‐range content. After optimizing the parameters of the operators in a formal experiment, we inspect and rate the artifacts (flickering, ghosting, temporal color consistency) and color rendition problems (brightness, contrast and color saturation) they produce. This allows us to identify major problems and challenges that video tone‐mapping needs to address. Then, we compare the tone‐mapping results in a pair‐wise comparison experiment to identify the operators that, on average, can be expected to perform better than the others and to assess the magnitude of differences between the best performing operators.  相似文献

A verifiable multiple UAV system cooperatively monitoring a road network is presented in this paper. The focus is on formal modelling and verification which can guarantee correctness of concurrent reactive systems such as multi-UAV systems. Kripke modelling is used to formally model the distributed cooperative control strategy, and to verify correctness of the specifications. Desirable properties of the mission such as liveness are specified in Computation Tree Logic (CTL). Model checking technique is used to exhaustively explore the state space to verify whether the system behaviour, modelled by Kripke model, satisfies the specifications. Violation of a specification is analysed by means of the counter-example generated by SMV model checking tool.  相似文献

Abstract

In this paper, we present novel microemulsion (ME)-based semisolid polymer gels designed for topical administration of poorly water soluble non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Indomethacin (IND) was used as a model compound. The ME consisted of castor oil, water, Tween®80 as a surfactant and ethanol as cosurfactant. To obtain the desired consistency of the formulations Carbopol®960 was applied as a thickening agent. The aim of the study was to analyze in detail the mechanical properties of the obtained systems, with special attention paid to the features crucial for topical application. The rheological and textural experiments performed for samples with and without the incorporated drug clearly indicate that flow characteristics, viscoelastic properties and texture profiles were affected by the presence of IND. Novel semisolid formulations with IND described for the first time in this paper can be considered as an alternative for commercially available conventional topical dosage forms.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to assess whether it is possible to produce a high adhesive carbon coating by applying low-temperature RFCVD and glow discharge methods on nanobainitic X37CrMoV5-1 steel with and without nitrided sublayer. For this purpose, several methods of investigation were used: observations of coating morphology by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), analysis of bonds found in coatings (Raman spectroscopy), microhardness tests and adhesion of coatings (Scratch tests). Our research has shown that low-temperature RFCVD and glow discharge processes of nanobainitic X37CrMoV5-1 steel allow producing carbon coatings that can be described as hardened carbon coatings with very high hardness—> 2000 HV 0.25 in case of RFCVD processes and > 3300 HV 0.025 for glow discharge process and low friction coefficient—near 0.12 at 5 N load. However, the adhesion of produced coatings to the steel substrate strongly depends on the appropriate selection of the process parameters and on the proper preparation of the substrate before the deposition regarding the thermal stability of nanobainite.

Heat transference in fluid mechanism has a deep influence in real-life applications like hot-mix paving, recovery of energy, concrete heating, heat spacing, refineries, distillation, autoclaves, reactors, air conditioning, and so forth. In this attempt, findings related to energy exchange with features of infinite shear rate viscosity model of Carreau nanofluid by placing inclined magnetic dipole over the wedge are made. The main role in the transportation of heat is exercised by incorporating facts of r adiation, nonuniform heat sink source, Brownian motion, thermophoresis, and chemical reaction. The mathematical system of the infinite shear rate viscosity model of Carreau nanofluid gives a system of partial differential equations and furthermore, these are moved into ordinary differential equations. A numerical procedure is applied via shooting/bvp4c to obtain numerical results. Inclined magnetic dipole gives a lower velocity of Carreau nanofluid. Due to the relaxation time factor velocity of Carreau fluid gets down. A* causes to generate the heat internally, so due to this, temperature increases rapidly. The increasing rate of temperature is found very high for the growing Hartmann number. The rate of mass transport becomes low for gradual increment in the parameter of thermophoresis, wedge angle, and Prandtl. Inclined magnetic dipole gives a lower velocity of Carreau nanofluid. Due to the relaxation time factor, the velocity of the Carreau fluid goes down. The absence and presence of magnetic numbers have no influence on velocity, temperature, and concentration files for Le, Rd, θf, γ, We, β, Pr, Nb, Nt, A.  相似文献
