All organisations face partner selection. It is the first step in establishing partnership. Over recent decades, a one-way selection approach has been dominant in the literature. It is assumed that a buyer searches for one or more suppliers from a set of suppliers. Once the best supplier is found and selected, a partnership is formed. However, in reality, not only is the selection not a one-way process as the relationship itself is bilateral, but the existence of other buyers and suppliers also needs to be taken into account. In this study, a two-way partner selection approach is proposed, where not only the buyers evaluate suppliers, but also the suppliers have the opportunity to evaluate buyers. Considering a marketplace where there are several buyers and suppliers, an integrative model is proposed in the form of an assignment model to optimally match all the buyers and suppliers. A generalised model is also formulated to take the suppliers’ capacity and buyers’ demand into account. The proposed models are illustrated using some numerical examples. Finally, conclusions and recommendations for future research are provided.  相似文献

The traditional inventory classification method classifies stock keeping units (SKUs) to three classes based on their annual dollar usage, while in real world problems, other criteria are important as well. In this paper, considering multi-criteria situations, a simple, effective and practical rule-based method is designed and implemented in a real world case, using MATLAB software. The most important characteristic of the proposed method is taking into account the inherent ambiguities that exist in the reasoning process of the system of classification. The methodology and the method proposed here may be easily implemented by inventory managers. The results obtained from the case study in this paper are compared with the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method. Finally concluding remarks and suggestions for future work are provided.  相似文献

Monodisperse FePt nanoparticles with an average size of 4.11 nm were successfully synthesized via chemical co-reduction of iron acetylacetonate, Fe(acac)3, and platinum acetylacetonate, Pt(acac)2, by 1,2hexadecanediol as a reducing agent. Also (FePt)87Zn13 nanoparticles with average size of 4.24 nm were synthesized using the same method. The structural and magnetic properties of the prepared samples were respectively studied by XRD, TEM and VSM. L10 FePt ordered phase is formed at lower annealing temperature by addition of Zn. The (FePt)87Zn13 nanoparticles starts ordering after annealing at 400 °C, whereas FePt nanoparticles at 400 °C are still disordered alloys with superparamagnetic behavior. Additive Zn is very effective in decreasing the ordering temperature and enhancing the chemical ordering in (FePt)87Zn13 particles, So that coercivity 5200 Oe was measured for (FePt)87Zn13 nanoparticles annealed at 500 °C, compared with 1800 Oe for samples without Zn. This reduction in ordering temperature significantly reduces FePt particle coalescence and loss in positional order.  相似文献

The widespread potential application of vertically aligned carbon nanotube (CNT) forests have stimulated recent work on large‐area chemical vapor deposition growth methods, but improved control of the catalyst particles is needed to overcome limitations to the monodispersity and packing density of the CNTs. In particular, traditional thin‐film deposition methods are not ideal due to their vacuum requirements, and due to limitations in particle uniformity and density imposed by the thin‐film dewetting process. Here, a continuous‐feed convective self‐assembly process for manufacturing uniform mono‐ and multi‐layers of catalyst particles for CNT growth is presented. Particles are deposited from a solution of commercially available iron oxide nanoparticles, by pinning the meniscus between a blade edge and the substrate. The substrate is translated at constant velocity under the blade so the meniscus and contact angle remain fixed as the particles are deposited on the substrate. Based on design of the particle solution and tuning of the assembly parameters, a priori control of CNT diameter and packing density is demonstrated. Quantitative relationships are established between the catalyst size and density, and the CNT morphology and density. The roll‐to‐roll compatibility of this method, along with initial results achieved on copper foils, suggest promise for scale‐up of CNT forest manufacturing at commercially relevant throughput.  相似文献

Natural convection heat transfer from an isothermal horizontal fin attached to a cylinder, confined between two adiabatic walls of constant height is investigated by the Mach–Zehnder interferometry technique. This study is focused on the effect of a perforated fin attached to the bottom of a cylinder while the vertical position of the cylinder (Y ) changes between two walls with a constant distance of W measuring 1.5 times the cylinder diameter. The cylinder's average Nusselt numbers are determined for three ratios of vertical position to its diameter, Y /D = 0.5, 1.5, 2, and 3. The Rayleigh number ranges from 4.5 × 103 to 1.2 × 104. The distance between the walls is chosen to be 1.5 D, that is, an optimum distance at which the Nusselt number is maximum. The effect of the perforated fin on free convection heat transfer is investigated and compared with other works. Results show outstanding enhancement in heat transfer, with a minimum result of 40% and maximum of 90%. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Inhibition of carbon steel corrosion in 2 M hydrochloric acid (HCl) solution by thiophene azo dye derivatives were studied using weight loss, electrochemical frequency modulation (EFM), and atomic absorption techniques. The experimental data suggest that the inhibition efficiency increases with increasing inhibitors concentration in presence of 103 μM potassium iodide (KI). This is due to synergistic effect. Thus, the experimental results suggested that the presence of these anions in the solution stabilized the adsorption of inhibitors molecules on the metal surface and improved the inhibition efficiency. The results of EFM experiments are a spectrum of current response as a function of frequency. The corrosion rate and Tafel parameters can be obtained with measurement by analyzing the harmonic frequencies. The adsorption of the inhibitors on metal surface obeys the Langmuir adsorption isotherm. The surface of metal examined using Fourier transform infrared and ultraviolet spectroscopy. Quantum chemical calculations were carried out and relations between computed parameters and experimental inhibition efficiency were discussed.  相似文献

Flotation tailings associated with the extraction of Pb and Zn in the Touiref mining district, Tunisia, contain galena, sphalerite, pyrite, and marcasite in a carbonate gangue. The geochemical behaviour of oxidized and unoxidised tailings were consistent with their mineralogical and chemical characteristics. The leaching proceeded under neutral to slightly alkaline condition (pH 7.3–8.5), and positive Eh (250–470 mV). The concentrations of sulfate and Ca released during the leaching tests were associated with the neutralization of acidity by carbonates and the dissolution of gypsum initially present in the tailings. The iron precipitated, but significant amounts of Zn (5–3,300 μg/L), Cd (3–18 μg/L), and Pb (28–83 μg/L) were released during leaching, with the latter two exceeding international environmental norms (5 μg/L for Cd and 10 μg/L for Pb).  相似文献

In Morocco, there are many sedimentary phosphate mines that produce large quantities of phosphatic limestone wastes (PLW) that contain calcite (46 wt%) and dolomite (16 wt%). These mines are located near contaminated sites, such as the abandoned Kettara pyrrhotite mine. The surface drainage water at the Kettara mine site has a pH of 2.9–4.2 and elevated concentrations of SO4 (from 47 to 5,000 mg/L) and Fe (from 1 to 1,200 mg/L). The efficiency of PLW was assessed in the laboratory as an alternative alkaline material for passive acidic mine drainage (AMD) treatment. A series of experiments were carried out using a synthetic AMD (pH 3) containing Fe (500 mg/L), SO4 (3.4 g/L), Ca (220 mg/L), Al (160 mg/L), Mn (20 mg/L), Zn (15 mg/L), Cu (23 mg/L), and trace amounts of Co, Cr, and Ni. Experiments were done in both anoxic and oxic conditions, in batch and column tests, with hydraulic retention times of 24 and 15 h, respectively. The PLW efficiently increased the alkalinity and pH, inducing precipitation of most metals. The neutralizing capacity of PLW prepared at different particle sizes (0.8 mm–0.5 cm, 0.5–1, 1–2, and 2–3 cm) was found to be similar in batch tests. The initial AMD value increased from 3 to 5–6.5 during the batch tests and 6.5–8 in the columns. In batch tests under anoxic and oxic conditions, there was a significant decrease in concentrations of Fe (500–120 mg/L), Al (160–1.7 mg/L), and Cu (23–0.002 mg/L). In the column tests, Al and Cu decreased (177–2.5 and 26–0.002 mg/L, respectively), while Fe decreased less significantly (618–300 mg/L). The availability and low cost of the PLW make its use in passive AMD treatment potentially feasible.  相似文献

The direct-type solar dryer is characterized by very simple construction, less maintenance, cost-effectiveness, and is easy to handle. The present study aims to enhance the performance of a direct-type solar dryer. To achieve this, the photovoltaic (PV) panels with thermal energy recovery and solar air collector were integrated with the direct-type solar dryer. In this study, the PV panels with thermal energy recovery and solar air collector were utilized as preheating units to raise the air temperature before entering the direct solar dryer. Moreover, the PV panels were utilized to drive the air blower. In this study, three incorporated models are suggested to study the performance of the solar dryer integrated with PV panels with thermal energy recovery and solar air collector. The model of each component was validated by the previously recorded empirical data. The results confirmed that the dual utilization of the PV panels with thermal energy recovery and solar air collector as a preheating unit raised the air temperature entering the direct solar dryer by the rate varying between 29°C and 42°C within the period 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Also, the moisture content of banana samples inside the direct solar dryer reduced from the initial value of 72% (wb) to the value of 33.4% (wb) within 7 h (9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.). During this operating period, moisture removal from the banana samples varied between 110 and 400 g/h.  相似文献
