Aflatoxin (AF) contamination of the Iranian exporting pistachio has become a major problem in the last decades. In this study, the antifungal effects of smoke produced from the smoldering of several herbal plants were investigated. Four different ratios of plant weight/exposure time (5/5, 10/15, 15/30, and 20 g/45 min) were used from each plant material to smoke two isolates of Aspergillus flavus (A47 and A3), grown in potato dextrose agar (PDA). The results showed that the 20 g/45 min treatment using smoldering cinnamon bark, neem leaves, and clove flowers had efficient inhibitions of 100, 85, and 75%, respectively. Furthermore, the smoking of pistachio inoculated with a spore concentration of 1 × 106 / ml using 30 g of cinnamon bark, neem leaves, and clove flowers for 75 min was capable of preventing the production of different types of AF, that is, B1, B2, G1, and G2 in the treated products. There is a good potential to smoke pistachio with these three herbal plants and prevent the production of AF in pistachio during the handling, storage, and transportation.  相似文献

Considering the fact that faults may be revealed as undesired mutual effect of program predicates on each other, a new approach for localizing latent bugs, namely Hierarchy-Debug, is presented in this paper. To analyze the vertical effect of predicates on each other and on program termination status, the predicates are fitted into a logistic lasso model. To support scalability, a hierarchical clustering algorithm is applied to cluster the predicates according to their presence in different executions. Considering each cluster as a pseudo-predicate, a distinct lasso model is built for intermediate levels of the hierarchy. Then, we apply a majority voting technique to score the predicates according to their lasso coefficients at different levels of the hierarchy. The predicates with relatively higher scores are ranked as fault relevant predicates. To provide the context of failure, faulty sub-paths are identified as sequences of fault relevant predicates. The grouping effect of Hierarchy-Debug helps programmers to detect multiple bugs. Four case studies have been designed to evaluate the proposed approach on three well-known test suites, SpaceSiemens, and Bash. The evaluations show that Hierarchy-Debug produces more precise results compared with prior fault localization techniques on the subject programs.  相似文献

Linear alkyl benzene sulfonate (LAS), which is the most common used anionic surfactant in detergents manufacturing, can discharge onto water resources through wastewater and causes change in taste and odor, disruption in water treatment processes, aquatics death, and oxygen transfer limitation. Accordingly, this article investigates to optimize LAS removal using Fenton oxidation process in Taguchi Method for the first time. LAS removal using Fenton oxidation was perused experimentally in a lab-scale reactor. In order to save relevant costs, 25 runs were qualified to specify the optimum conditions of Fenton oxidation using Taguchi method by Minitab 16 software. Sampling and testing procedures were executed based on the standard methods for the examination of water and wastewater. The optimum conditions included 900 mg/L hydrogen peroxide, 170 mg/L ferrous ion, pH of 4 and the reaction time of 20 min. Fenton oxidation, as a second order reaction with the rate coefficient of 0.0152 L/mg?min, provided 86.5% efficiency for LAS removal in the optimum conditions. Despite Fenton oxidation appeared as a high efficiency process in LAS removal, low removal efficiency of chemical oxygen demand corresponding with LAS affirmed its partial degradation.  相似文献

The spun tapes of synthesized PAN, its copolymer with 1 wt% itaconic acid, and doped version with 1 wt% sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) all showed stripy, even, and compact cross-sections as the hallmark of gel forming products. PAN doping with SDS and acrylonitrile copolymerization with itaconic acid reduced its dimethylformamide (DMF) solution structural viscosity index (Δη) by 50% and 30%, respectively, at 675 s??1. In addition, the modification of synthesized PAN through doping and acrylonitrile copolymerization with itaconic acid led to severe and mild gelation temperature decrease, respectively. The stabilization peak of the synthesized PAN tape was enhanced as much as 25 °C by 900% hot drawing, decreased by about 10 °C through copolymerization, while experienced small temperature changes through doping. The second derivative of Fourier transform infrared and Gaussian fitting was used to analyze the tapes cyclization due to stabilization treatment through introducing Isd index. 10 min Isd index was raised as much as 430% and 800% in comparison with the synthesized PAN through its doping or acrylonitrile copolymerization with itaconic acid, respectively. Further 180 min of Isd index, however, showed the same proportional increase as toughness of the drawn tapes versus their heat of stabilization through their physical and chemical modifications.  相似文献

Metallic structural components for micro-electro-mechanical/nano-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS/NEMS) are promising alternatives to silicon-based materials since they are electrically conductive, optically reflective and ductile. Polycrystalline mono-metallic films typically exhibit low strength and hardness, high surface roughness, and significant residual stress, making them unusable for NEMS. In this study we demonstrate how to overcome these limitations by co-sputtering Ni-Mo. Detailed investigation of the Ni-Mo system using transmission electron microscopy and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (TEM/HRTEM), x-ray diffraction (XRD), nanoindentation, and atomic force microscopy (AFM) reveals the presence of an amorphous-nanocrystalline microstructure which exhibits enhanced hardness, metallic conductivity, and sub-nanometer root mean square (RMS) roughness. Uncurled NEMS cantilevers with MHz resonant frequencies and quality factors ranging from 200-900 are fabricated from amorphous Ni-Mo. Using a sub-regular solution model it is shown that the electrical conductivity of Ni-Mo is in excellent agreement with Bhatia's structural model of electrical resistivity in binary alloys. Using a Langevin-type stochastic rate equation the structural evolution of amorphous Ni-Mo is modeled; it is shown that the growth instability due to the competing processes of surface diffusion and self-shadowing is heavily damped out due to the high thermal energies of sputtering, resulting in extremely smooth films.  相似文献

In the last decades, heat recovery systems have received much attention due to the increase in fuel cost and the increase in environmental issues. In this study, different heat recovery systems for a cement plant are compared in terms of electricity generation and exergy analysis. The heat sources are available in high temperature (HT) and low temperature (LT). For the HT section a dual pressure Rankine cycle, a simple dual pressure Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) and a regenerative dual pressure ORC are compared. Also, for the LT section, a simple ORC is compared with transcritical carbon dioxide cycle. To find the best system, an optimisation algorithm is applied to all proposed cycles. The results show that for the HT section, regenerative ORC has the highest exergy efficiency and has the capability of producing nearly 7?MW electricity for a cement factory with the capacity of 3400 ton per day. The main reason for this is introducing the regenerative heat exchanger to the cycle. For the LT section, ORC showed a better performance than the CO2 cycle. It is worth mentioning that the generated power in this section is far lower than that of the HT section and is equal to nearly 300?kW.  相似文献

Lab‐on‐a‐chip (LOC) integrated microfluidics has been a powerful tool for new developments in analytical chemistry. These microfluidic systems enable the miniaturization, integration and automation of complex biochemical assays through the reduction of reagent use and enabling portability. Electroosmotic micropumps could be employed as powerful tools to generate required flow in point of care (POC) devices. In the present study, parallel electroosmotic micropumps are investigated to improve the efficiency of simple micropumps. According to the results, parallel micropumps generate higher flow rate in comparison with conventional electroosmotic pump. In the last decade, a large variety of non‐Newtonian fluids have been utilized in biomedical application but requirements for a POC device such as high efficient driving flow, miniaturization and simple handling of POC devices remain unmet. As a consequence, in this study, power law model as non‐Newtonian fluids that flow through the parallel micropumps are investigated in order to enhance fluid pumping and decreasing voltage requirement.. It is found that as the power law index increases the mass flow rate decreases. Also, the flow rate is almost constant for the higher power law index. Obtained results, demonstrated that parallel micropump could enhance pumping of non‐Newtonian fluid (blood) up to 30%. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

A novel methodology for the order‐reduction of parabolic partial differential equation (PDE) systems with time‐varying domain is explored. In this method, a mapping functional is obtained, which relates the time‐evolution of the solution of a parabolic PDE with time‐varying domain to a fixed reference domain, while preserving space invariant properties of the initial solution ensemble. Subsequently, the Karhunen–Loève decomposition is applied to the solution ensemble on fixed spatial domain resulting in a set of optimal eigenfunctions. Further, the low dimensional set of empirical eigenfunctions is mapped on the original time‐varying domain by an appropriate mapping, resulting in the basis for the construction of the reduced‐order model of the parabolic PDE system with time‐varying domain. This methodology is used in three representative cases, one‐ and two‐dimensional (1‐D and 2‐D) models of nonlinear reaction‐diffusion systems with analytically defined domain evolutions, and the 2‐D model of the Czochralski crystal growth process with nontrivial geometry. © 2013 American Institute of Chemical Engineers AIChE J, 59: 4142–4150, 2013  相似文献

In this paper, an efficient finite difference method is presented for the solution of time‐delay optimal control problems with time‐varying delay in the state. By using the Pontryagin's maximum principle, the original time‐delay optimal control problem is first transformed into a system of coupled two‐point boundary value problems involving both delay and advance terms. Then the derived system is converted into a system of linear algebraic equations by using a second‐order finite difference formula and a Hermite interpolation polynomial for the first‐order derivatives and delay terms, respectively. The convergence analysis of the proposed approach is provided. The new scheme is also successful for the optimal control of time‐delay systems affected by external persistent disturbances. Numerical examples are included to demonstrate the validity and applicability of the new technique. Some comparative results are included to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.  相似文献
