This paper describes the effect of mutual leakage reactance in the rotor circuit on the analysis of generator transient characteristics. The authors derive a detailed equivalent circuit model for a 48P‐15,750‐kVA generator, analyze sudden short circuits and asynchronization phenomena of the generator by simulations with an electromagnetic transients program (ATP‐EMTP), and compare the results with experimental data. © 2005 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Receptor-mediated and capacitative Ca2+ entry are the primary Ca2+ entry pathways in endothelial cells (ECs). The mechanisms for Ca2+ entry via these pathways have not been fully elucidated. In this study, the effect of low and high external Mg2+ concentrations on these Ca2+ entry pathways was examined in human coronary arterial ECs. External Mg2+ concentration did not affect cytosolic free Mg2+ concentration. After exposure to thrombin in Ca(2+)-free medium, addition of Ca2+ to the medium caused a rise in cytosolic free Ca2+ concentration ([Ca2+]i), indicating thrombin-induced Ca2+ influx. Thrombin-induced Ca2+ influx was inhibited by not only low but also high external Mg2+ concentrations. After depletion of endoplasmic Ca2+ stores by thapsigargin, addition of Ca2+ to the medium induced an increase in [Ca2+]i, indicating capacitative Ca2+ entry. Capacitative entry was found to be accelerated by low external Mg2+ and inhibited by high external Mg2+ concentration. Results suggest that receptor-mediated Ca2+ influx requires external Mg2+ but is inhibited by increased external Mg2+ concentrations and that capacitative Ca2+ entry is reduced by external Mg2+ in human coronary arterial ECs.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to investigate whether gastrin regulates morphological changes and alpha-subunit gene expression in parietal cells through the gastrin/CCK-B receptor on enterochromaffin-like cells by histamine release. Treatment with 100 mg/kg of YM022, a potent and selective gastrin/CCK-B receptor antagonist, for one week in rats did not alter mRNA levels of histidine decarboxylase or H+, K+-ATPase. However, parietal cell morphology predominantly changed to the resting form, although the serum gastrin concentration was significantly increased. Additional treatment with YM022 and oral omeprazole, 100 mg/kg, for one week markedly suppressed the increases of mRNA levels of histidine decarboxylase and H+, K+-ATPase and completely blocked the morphological transformation of the parietal cells to a stimulated form induced by treatment with omeprazole alone. This indicates that the morphological transformation of parietal cells to an activated form with a subsequent increase in H+, K+-ATPase synthesis caused by hypergastrinemia is mediated by increased histidine decarboxylase gene expression in enterochromaffin-like cells via gastrin/CCK-B receptors.  相似文献

Summary Polyesters were modified by introducing small amounts of sodium sulfonate groups as hydrophilic groups in their backbones. Stable aqueous dispersions of the polyesters could be obtained by using 2-butoxyethanol (BEA) as a cosolvent. To clarify the role of the cosolvent, they were separated into two layers, polymer and supernatant layers, byultracentrifugation. Cosolvent contents were found to be different in the former and latter layers; i.e., the contents of BEA in the former layer are low in the case of crystalline polyesters and high in the case of noncrystalline ones. Characteristics of the dispersions such as viscosity are strongly affected by the content of the cosolvent.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: This study was performed to clarify the clinicopathologic features of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients surviving >10 years after hepatic resection. METHODS: Between January 1971 and April 1987, 142 patients underwent hepatic resection. Thirty-nine patients who died of surgical morbidity (surgical mortality rate: 27.5%) were excluded from this study. Among the 103 patients who survived and were observed for >10 years after surgery, 12 patients (11.7%) survived >10 years after hepatectomy. The surviving patients were divided into 2 groups: 10-year survivors (n = 12) and nonsurvivors (n = 91). A comparative study between the two groups was made. RESULTS: Preoperative liver function tests such as the indocyanine green retention test at 15 minutes and albumin levels showed that 10-year survivors had better liver function than nonsurvivors. With regard to virus markers, 5 of 12 patients (41.7%) were positive for hepatitis B surface antigen (HBs-Ag) and the incidence of hepatitis B virus-related HCC was significantly higher than in nonsurvivors (P = 0.020). The results also showed that 4 of 12 long term survivors had hepatitis C virus (HCV) antibody and 1 patient did not have any HCV antibody or HBs-Ag. In two other patients, the HCV antibody was not measured and HBs-Ag was negative. Among four patients with the HCV antibody, the serum HCV RNA concentration, measured by branched DNA probe assay, was <0.5 in 3 patients and 1.72 in 1 patient. Therefore, the HCV RNA concentration tended to be lower in 10-year survivors. Tumor recurrence occurred in 8 of the 10-year survivors. Solitary recurrence was observed in five patients whereas multiple recurrence was observed in three patients. All five patients with solitary recurrence underwent a second resection. CONCLUSIONS: Based on the results of the current study, good liver function, HBs-Ag positivity, and a low concentration of serum HCV RNA in HCV-related HCC should be considered potentially good predictors of a long term survival.  相似文献

TiB2 powder was synthesized by solid state reaction using amorphous boron and TiN as a source of titanium. The TiB2 formation did not occur at all in a nitrogen atmosphere even at 1400° C. TiB2 formed above 1100° C in argon and hydrogen atmospheres. The only crystalline phase of TiB2 powder was favourably synthesized at 1400° C for 360 min in an argon atmosphere from a starting powder with a composition containing excess boron (B/Ti = 2.2). The synthesized powder was well dispersed and had a particle size of 0.5 to 2 µm. The powder activity was evaluated by sintering at 4 G Pa and 1300 to 1600° C for 15 min.  相似文献

The screening of a strain which could perform lignin removal was carried out. Based on taxonomic study the isolated strain (LM‐2) was identified as Penicillium sp. LM‐2 could decolorize 0.6 g dm?3 lignin within 4 days in a shaking culture at 25 °C. The efficiency of decolorization of the lignin was over 80% in the pH range of 4.0–6.0, but was low above pH 6.2. The rise of temperature had a slight adverse effect on the lignin decolorization in the range of 25–35 °C. Lignolytic enzymes such as lignin peroxidase, manganese peroxidase and laccase were not detected in the culture broth or within the fungal cells. The lignin was removed from the high molecular weight fraction mainly by adsorption and accumulation inside the cells. © 2001 Society of Chemical Industry  相似文献

In immunoblotting analysis using a rabbit antibody to bovine adrenodoxin, the total proteins of the bovine adrenal cortex gave two bands, suggesting the presence of two forms of adrenodoxin in vivo: full-length and carboxy-terminal deleted adrenodoxins. To examine the effect of the carboxy-terminal deletion of adrenodoxin on its activity, cDNAs for Arg115stop mutant adrenodoxin and for Asp113stop mutant adrenodoxin were constructed. The wild type [Ad(2-128)] and carboxy-terminal deleted [Ad(2-114) and Ad(2-112)] recombinant adrenodoxins expressed in Escherichia coli were purified to give a single band on SDS-PAGE. They showed an A414/A276 value of 0.92. In an NADPH-cytochrome c reduction assay, the Km values for cytochrome c in the reconstituted system with AD(2-128), Ad(2-114) and Ad(2-112) were 39, 235 and 618 mM, respectively. The Vmax values were 638, 700 and 898 mol/min/mol flavin, respectively. In an NADPH-acetylated cytochrome c reduction assay, the maximum activity of Ad(2-128) was obtained at 50 mM NaCl, while the maximum activities of Ad(2-114) and Ad(2-112) were obtained at 100 mM NaCl; the latter values were 4-times higher than that of Ad(2-128). In the presence of 100 mM NaCl, the Km values for acetylated cytochrome c in the system reconstituted with Ad(2-128), Ad(2-114) and Ad(2-112) were 220, 33 and 22 microM, respectively. The Vmax values were 352, 305 and 382 mol/min/mol flavin, respectively. These results indicate that the effects of the carboxy-terminal deletion of adrenodoxin on NADPH-cytochrome c and acetylated cytochrome c reductions are different; the carboxy-terminal region (residues 113-128) of adrenodoxin largely contributes to the binding with cytochrome c but disturbs the binding with acetylated cytochrome c.  相似文献

The effect of magnetic and nonmagnetic annealing on the magnetic anisotropy in CoNbZr films, formed by a DC opposing-targets sputtering method, was investigated. It was revealed that the origin of the magnetic anisotropy is the directional ordering of the magnetic atoms. The anisotropy fields and the direction of the easy axis obtained when the films are annealed in zero magnetic field are almost the same as those for the magnetic field parallel to the easy axis of the as-deposited films. When the films are annealed in a magnetic field perpendicular to the easy axis, the anisotropy field induced in parallel with the magnetic field, Hk(t), is well represented by the following formula: ln {1-Hk(t )/Hk(∞)∝-√Tt, where Hk(∞) is the thermal equilibrium value of the anisotropy field and D is the diffusion constant. The activation energy of the as-deposited film is 0.86 eV. Annealing the film increases the activation energy which is 2.1 eV when the film is annealed at a temperature of 450°C for 2 h  相似文献

Rough surface effects on p-wave Fermi superfluids are discussed on the basis of our recently proposed quasi-classical theory that can treat in a unified way the surface scattering ranging from the specular limit to the diffusive limit. We show how the transition temperature of the ABM state in a slab geometry depends on the surface roughness. In the diffusive limit, our result agrees with Kjäldmann et al. We consider the BW state, the ABM state and the polar state in a half-infinite geometry with a plane rough surface and discuss the self-consistent order parameter and the surface density of states at low temperatures. The rough surface effects on the Andreev scattering in the BW state are also discussed within the same framework.  相似文献
